Outdoor lights app is not connected to Wi-Fi
Hello, I have 5 smart switch for years, they are works very good, but few days ago all of them only can control by app (works very well ), hand press the switch on or off has a long delay or no response at all, have tried reset even cut the power then reconnect no help, is anything else I can do?
I have had a Kasa plug for about 4months, all was working fine until my Wi-Fi changed as I had a new skyQ box set up. The Kasa app keeps saying off line. I haven’t a clue how to put in the new Wi-Fi code. Really frustrated now. Tried so many ways, resetting etc. Not a clue, what to do.
Having trouble connecting my wifi to KD110 doorbell camera. I’m not tech savvy and the lack of good guidance on connectivity to my wifi. Please help I’m a senior citizen adding protection to our small apartment.
I have 5 simple cameras and all were working for a few month. I installed SD disks 2 weeks back and now the cameras will not stay online long. I've removed the disks, disconnected power for minutes, repower and cameras come online, but in time, they go offline again. There is clearly something systemic in the problem to effect ALL cameras within a window of days after 90+ days of usage. Please advise
I originally set up my 4 smart plugs which operated perfectly until we had a thunderstorm and lost power. At that point none of the plugs worked. I have watched videos until I am tired of them as nothing seems to work. I need to talk with someone on how to re set and program the plugs again. My number is 623-523-3079.
We have a Kasa with a bedroom light that has no issues, though our kitchen light also plugged into it's own kasa plug, will automatically shut the light off after about a minute. If we cannot create a WORKABLE schedule, we'd just like to manually turn the kitchen light on - off but cannot do this. Both are on the same network, Hardware version is 3.0, the Firmwar version is 1.0.4, the 'Schedule' is now EMPTY, The timer hasn't been started, and same with the AWAY. Are certain light bulbs not compatible, or is it just a bad Kasa?
Tried to reset kasa 2 outdoor plug. No luck so far. I am getting very frustrated. Hope you can help???
Hello, I'm a huge fan of the KASA products, have about 2 dozen light and dimer controls and couldn't be happier. I also bought 2 of your cameras. Presently I am keeping one on my front door, works great with an even better image, thank you. The problem I have is the 32g SD memory runs out fairly quickly as I see you have MOTION indictors but the camera still records 24/7. Be great if it only recorded when there was sound or motion alarms. Also, if I don't reformat before the storage goes to 0, the SD card will fail formatting. I have to pull it out and format on my computer. Any suggestions for these 2 issues? Many thanks! Regards, Howard
I haven't used my smart bulb in a long time and the bulb became disabled with Alexa. How do I enable it again.
I have 4 Kasa plugs, one of them turn on for the last 10 days starting at 5:30 pm then one minute later, each day after, without any one saying Alexa turn on the light, has anyone else had that problem, moved it to a different room, still does the same thing, is it broke…Thank you
Got kasa outdoor smart plug connected it to my WiFi and added two lights to it Worked for a week and now stopped working On plugging it in no light comes on Can’t reset it Tired of ot
HI THERE I HAVE A MODEL NO. KL430(UN) I AM LOOKING FOR A EXTENTION FOR THE JACK LEAD FROM LED DRIVER TO PLUG. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING AROUND 10METERS THANKS. GAVIN CONTACT NUMBER 07860777695
I had the plugs for some time, now all of a sudden some of the devices will not operate by voice (app shows LOCAL ONLY”) but will work from app. It is not the same device all the time (sometimes no problems). I’m ready to throw all away, no fun to have to get out of bed to find the iPad to turn off local only!

I don’t get it. For years now The policy has been to limit the total number of smart actions you can have for your devices to just three. That means you can only turn off three devices automatically so many minutes after they are turned on. What if you have four lights and four switches? Three of those can turn off automatically a predetermined time period after they are turned on but the fourth must be turned off manually.
Think about exterior lighting that might come on due to a motion sensor. Or that same lighting that you might want to turn off automatically because you forget when you come into the house. You have four switches. Sorry you are only allowed three smart actions. I have nearly 100 devices. You’d think that after I have invested so much money that you could allow a few more of my devices to send requests across the network to automatically turn off. Mind you, when purchasing the devices and it talks about these smart actions, nothing has mentioned about this limitation.
Apart from that, the user interface screen could use an update. With nearly 100 devices, it takes a while to find the one you want. I could deal with having two or three buttons wide on my screen instead of one row per item. And it would be nice if when I am trying to toggle the circular on off button on the right side if it would not think I am trying to tap outside the button and take me into the device details instead.

Several obvious deficiencies in the Kasa app. The only ways to organize devices on the Home Screen are groups and by product type. The later is stupid as a default. Groups are all on or all off. Product type is useless as soon as you have more than a handful of devices of different types. Tp-Link needs to look at how real people organize their smart homes. We have areas meaningful to us - maybe rooms, maybe some function we do, with multiple devices of different product types in that area. Being able to group devices by these areas means quick access to relevant smart devices without sifting thru all the other irrelevant devices. Then we turn on or off or otherwise adjust the devices from that area that we need. I’m talking about how the bulk of Home Screen works - the device list. Update this!
Other stupid stuff - only 3!smart actions can be enabled. Why bother? Sounds like a toy, not a serious tool. Controlling other smart devices with one? Uh, not Kasa. One device can control one other. IFTTT is a basket case, so Kasa needs to fill the void. Oh, and only switch product types can controls other devices? Is this a production app or an early beta?

Plug lite, 2-pack for $20 sounded like a very good deal. Unfortunately it turned out to be way overpriced since Kasa did not provide anything for the money.
Tried setting up one but it wouldn’t connect to my WiFi. After trying and troubleshooting for about 45 minutes I managed to make it work by directly connecting to the device. Set the schedule but could never connect to Remote Control server probably because it couldn’t connect to WiFi.
When I plugged the other one the Kasa app said it was preconfigured which is odd because it is supposed to be brand new. It had the same issue with it not being able to connect to my home wireless so again I connected to the device directly. Before I could set up the schedule it was already identical to the first device which is also odd because they were not in the group. I had different usage in mind (lamp and outdoor Christmas lights) and wanted different schedules but whichever one I changed the other one would change too. Again, very strange behavior for non-grouped devices.
Also tried at work and same behavior. Overall I wasted over two hours + time to write this review + time to return these bad boys.
