I made a booking directly with Riu. I was encouraged to download RIUHotelsResorts and obtain more details about my stay. I have tried on multiple days and I can’t even access my booking. Without that, I can’t obtain information or make reservations. Unfortunately the person who completed my booking did not have answers to many of the questions I asked and while he put me on hold for extended periods of time, he was not able to get somebody to answer the phone at the resort. I leave in a few days and still have no answers. This is incredibly disappointing and I hope it is not indicative of the vacation that I am going to have.
I wish there were a way to give it zero stars.

When trying to search for availability, the date on the calendar is misaligned. It keeps choosing the date prior to the one you choose. And when you finally hit search, nothing happens.

RIUHotelsResorts is not useful at all!! I’ve recently booked my first trip with RIU and I can’t even see my booking without having to go find the booking number from my email to enter it along with other information in RIUHotelsResorts . I guess I made the mistake of booking before signing up? Even so I should be able to add the booking after the fact. I’ve never stayed at a RIU before so this is my first experience with this company and I certainly hope RIUHotelsResorts isn’t a reflection on the company as a whole.

App fails to load booking details. When I give my booking number and email, RIUHotelsResorts doesn’t load my booking. What’s the point of getting into RIUHotelsResorts if it doesn’t do anything.

You can’t really check in online, a message pops ups and states you don’t have the same number of people checking in. Also can’t update names online

Nothing works properly in RIUHotelsResorts . Entertainment is empty , can’t log into my class account , it glitches when looking through the map and crashes. The me he’s for restaurants aren’t in RIUHotelsResorts . The perks you’re supposed to receive aren’t included in RIUHotelsResorts . For a good hotel I’m surprised RIUHotelsResorts is so bad.

If you thought it was bad before the update it’s really bad now. Not intuitive, hard to find , you have to go through several steps (5) every time you close RIUHotelsResorts to get back to the hotel you’re staying. It’s confusing and not clear. I really don’t like having to use RIUHotelsResorts when I travel to
RIUs.

Constantly get blank error messages and just an overall horrible platform. Their wed site is total garbage too so it’s just transferred to RIUHotelsResorts . The issues trying to find reservations and check in makes me wish I had never booked with this hotel chain.

Very glitchy. For example, you may click on an event, and then you can’t go back to anything. Overall poorly designed and engineered.

App not accessible 90 percent of the time. RIUHotelsResorts has the processing circle but never available unless inside restaurant. When accessible updates and communications are valuable.

Good and informative app but most of it is in Spanish. Details about the resorts are not but everything in between is, with no option for English that I can find.

Seems to be bug with the Gender field. Both my wife and I tried on our apps (ios) and got same error no matter which we choose.

Downloaded this in Dec 2020 and it worked for a little bit initially, but later in the day it kept saying to check the internet connection. Bummer because the hotel recommended using this for a trip next month.
Update: Dec 11th - reinstalled and app is working great, thank you!!

Please update RIUHotelsResorts to correct the language options. Italian is the default language. When I try to change to English, RIUHotelsResorts shuts down and the language does not change. This makes RIUHotelsResorts useless for me.

Language options needs urgent review. Having set desired language in the class section it still insists on not using that language English but what I assume to be Italian which I can not understand. Please review and amend app.

RIUHotelsResorts has informations, but doesn't allow me to add my current trip to the system! It doesn't make any sense that if i booked my trip through my airlines, they don't have an option to add my stay in RIUHotelsResorts . Log in is not smooth at all. Had to use laptop to login

RIUHotelsResorts is basically a good app to be able to schedule or book rooms however even though I have English selected as the language there are screens that are in Spanish. I can figure out what they are menu items for but it just seems like the entire app menu would want to be in English if selected. Could easily be a 4* if corrected

Last week my daughter was a single guest at Hotel Riu Palace Bahamas on Casino Drive. She was 'roofied' at there hotel bar, raped, horribly beaten and left for dead somewhere outside! A good person found her and called an ambulance. She told me the same night as her attack. Another single woman staying at the same resort told her the SAME thing happened to her the SAME night! My daughter is back in the US and the US Embassy, Bahamas has been notified. But at this point we don't know if anything can be done!!! Horrible , terrifying resort!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
