Minibar Delivery: Get Alcohol Reviews

A friend of mine told me about this delivery service so I definitely wanted to try it ASAP! I couldn’t believe a liquor delivery service existed and more so that they delivered to my address! (We live at 1604 & Potranco and that’s usually out of the delivery service area for most delivery services!) Anyway! I placed my order and it was delivered within the hour! They even called me to let me know that one of the liquor bottles that I ordered wasn’t in-stock and asked me if I wanted to order a different one in its place. Very friendly. MinibarDelivery did let me know before I placed my order that if I didn’t provide my ID to show that I’m 21 & over that they would charge me a restocking fee, that was good to know ahead of time. The driver was very friendly and I have no complaints all around! The only thing I would SUGGEST is that MinibarDelivery provide a way for us to contact the driver for any last minute changes. It would also be nice to be able to go back into MinibarDelivery to see what the estimated delivery time is. Adding both those options would perfect this delivery service in my opinion!

I'm so happy with MinibarDelivery, I really have nothing bad to say about it. It was easy to find what I wanted, it was the same price as your neighborhood liquor store, and the guy got here within 30 minutes, explained the paperwork I was signing, and was incredibly nice and helped me carry all of my boxes in. (Just got a new house with a bar, so we pretty much fully stocked it) Food delivery apps are such a pain in the back, there's something wrong with the order, or it got canceled, they can't find your place, or even just had a bad attitude because they already got their tip and have no interest in serving with a smile. MinibarDelivery so far, has not done that. Really nice people in impressive timing. Thanks. :)

So, I am writing this review as my issue has yet to resolved. I ordered 2 bottles of liquor using Minibar mainly because one of the bottles was a unique release 4 Roses. Not only was the delivery driver very late, they were also very rude. I blew this off as they did deliver. However, upon receiving my order I noticed the unique bottle I purchased was just a normal bottle of yellow label 4 Roses, which I did not order. I reached out to mini bar and the driver came to pick up the order and refund me and would take 3-5 days to refund. A week later still no refund so I contact customer service and they inform me that the refund got “hung-up” and it is still processing and would now be an additional 3-5 days before I am refunded…. I still have yet to be refunded nor, have I been contacted by the mysterious Ops Manager who was going to be notified. If and when I ever get refunded, I will most certainly delete MinibarDelivery and warn all potential users to avoid MinibarDelivery at all costs, as there as many similar apps that provide much better customer service and likely do not steal your money.

I have ordered from Minibar 3-4 times and repeatedly been disappointed with their delivery service, customer service and responsiveness. I tried on 2 occasions to deliver gifts to friends, once as an e-gift card, and once as a physical delivery. Both times the items were not delivered and only after weeks of non delivery was I notified and asked to either take a partial refund minus shipping costs and 15% or told no refund was possible even though the gift card was not delivered. In the instance of the e-gift card I tried to correspond with their customer support for nearly 4 months and never received a refund. They took nearly 2 months to respond to my outreach and concern and I was only met with automated messages and no solutions offered. There are so many other reputable and trustworthy sites to work with, especially in NY/NJ area, do not give Minibar your business if you expect seamless delivery and appropriate customer support.

I went to order and was astonished at how sky high the pricing was $22 for a 6 pack of beer, $33 for a 12 pack of another beer, $69 for a 750ml of Hennessy, and $56 for a 750ml of Grey Goose just to give you an idea of the pricing. I checked these prices against the Total Wine app and the same 6 pack was $11, 12 pack was $16, Hennessy was $33, and Grey Goose was $25. Minibars pricing isn't even competitive.

On top of that there's a $10 delivery fee, compared to the Total Wine delivery fee of $6 and the icing on the cake was that my minimum order fee was $150!!!! That's ridiculous.

In my opinion this service is to take advantage of people who are too drunk to drive and want to do they right thing by ordering alcohol online for delivery or people who don't know any better on alcohol prices. Do yourself a favor and shop around even Door Dash has better prices on alcohol and delivery. Don't waste your time with MinibarDelivery unless you have no other choice and are desperate.

I love MinibarDelivery, very easy to use and delivery has always been quick. On one occasion the store did not have enough of an item I had ordered multiple of, customer service was very helpful at getting in touch promptly and offering other options. I have found using the text option best for getting a speedy response. I also really like how it shows you different prices from different stores nearby so it is easy to find the cheapest. It has been a life saver during these COVID times and I especially like that you are still purchasing from local stores.

I tried to use MinibarDelivery to send a friend in NYC a gift bottle. Got the confirmation email then I received another email saying there was a problem with the account (that I opened moments before ordering) I tried to open MinibarDelivery again and it just gives me an error message -451. I sent an email to the email listed in the error message only to receive an email saying use this other email and I have yet to hear anything back. No worries, I’ll just delete this crap and you’ll never have to worry about having me as a customer. You startups all want to make millions of dollars but don’t take the time to understand what customer service is! Have a phone number where customers can speak to a human being and quickly resolve issues rather than waiting for you to get around to responding to emails.

I couldn’t recommend this service more. I downloaded MinibarDelivery , easily browsed through the selections available in the store near me, and was able to access information about each wine. I was also surprised by the prices, much cheaper prices for the same good bottles of wine that convenience stores sell for triple the price (if they even have it). The delivery arrived within 15-20 minutes of placing the order and the friendly delivery guy went up all the way to the 15th floor of a hotel and delivered the order right at my door.

MinibarDelivery is a complete rip off. TWO nights in a row they did not deliver my wine, but they did manage to charge my credit card! The first night I couldn’t get through to anyone, I called, no one answered, I sent an email because it was over an hour and I still haven’t received my wine. They said they apologized for the confusion and would reschedule it for tomorrow.
Come tonight, my wine was still not delivered. I contacted mini bar and they said the wine was delivered. I checked with my doormen who said no wine was ever delivered. Turns out, the wine was delivered to the completely wrong location and not even within my time window I requested. I contacted minibar and told them this, they said they needed another day to check with the store to confirm I actually never received my wine. Needless to say, don’t use MinibarDelivery unless you want to waste your money and time.

I love living in a world of convenience. Prime now is amazing. I thought this would be amazing as well. Are the prices a little more? Of course you’re paying for convenience! However. Waiting over 2 hours for the delivery, following the instructions listed on the email AND app they finally come! I show my ID everything should be fine right? Nope! They requested my card, it’s a virtual card I paid with, Apple Pay it’s not acceptable. Even with my id and everything not acceptable. Fine they cancel my order but she states they want to charge a $20 restocking fee?! Why? If this was listed on not only your app at checkout but also the confirmation email telling you what should me included I would have used another card! Bad business all around! Never using again! Going back to Drizly for my deliveries! I recommend you guys do too!

I got delivery from MinibarDelivery for the first time today. I think they have a great concept going, but really need to make some improvements if they want to last.

Their selling point for me is their prices compared to other drink delivery options where I live. HOWEVER that’s only if it’s a delivery done within an hour, as they promised in my email.

Sadly, 2 hours later, and nothing. I had to reach out to their customer service. That she a great job of responding and explaining, but people want convenience.

There is no tracking for your delivery, no email or text updates for delays, no compensation for late delivery etc.

I think if they have the prices they do and improve these issues, they’ll blow competition out of the water, but I understand the costs for such things might take out a huge chunk of profit. (I’m a small business owner so I get it.)

Over all, I’m only giving a harsh rating because I want to see this business improve. I think it’s a great concept with a lot of promise.

the actual features of MinibarDelivery are nice its easy to navigate the problem lies within the delivery process. you can order asap and it will give u an estimated time but theres no actual tracking of how far away they are or an actual estimated time both times took over an hour and a half (after given estimated time of an hour) and theres no communication thats its on the way. so its really just impatiently checking. you also dont get told a name or car to look out for which if u like me, live in apartments its hard to tell if ur order is arrived or not. adding some type of tracker would make it a lot better but it definitely needs work

I’ve used this service twice. The first time everything was fine and the second time I ordered a bottle of scotch to my hotel room that never arrived. The customer support at Minibar (specifically Eden and Aubrey) were on it immediately. Through no fault of their own, the delivery person for the local liquor store had lost their order, but they were very apologetic and the issue was resolved with a refund within 24 hours. Zero stars for the local liquor store, five stars for Minibar!

Placed an order at 3:00 but did not receive anything by 9:30, and had to cancel after that. There is ZERO customer service - nobody answers any calls so no idea whether the order will be filled. On top of that, they threaten to cancel the order and charge $20 restocking fee if you are not present at precisely the time they show up. After 7:30, I repeatedly asked for the order to be canceled. Finally someone responded that my order had been canceled. The refund will arrive in 10 business days. So they get to keep my money for 10 days and celebrate their inefficiency. The ironic thing was that they were going to fill the order from a local store only 2 miles away. Not sure why I even bothered.

I understand that due to Covid-19 service time is taking longer. I just wish MinibarDelivery would give some sort of realistic eta and updates along the way. I waited over 4 hours for a delivery and was never notified who my driver was or updated on when he was arriving. I tried contacting customer service several times with no response for hours. On top of that, my beer showed up hot and the driver was rude. Which I don’t blame him for his bad attitude since he was very behind schedule and stressed.

If they can’t provide proper service or at least decent communication, they shouldn’t accept as many orders. They obviously have upset employees and customers.

Love MinibarDelivery when it comes to wine and alcohol you definitely get what you need but I wish that you were able to buy beer as well I am a bear lover there’s no apps that cater to beer and if there is thay don’t deliver you have to pick up maybe you guys can work on it would really make my day to have a place where I can order a beer wine and liquor all in one place after all MinibarDelivery is called minibar 😎 just a suggestion thanks again

I was skeptical at first since I live in a smaller city that most apps like this aren’t in yet but took a chance and I’m glad I did. Delivery is quick, drivers are nice and the fee isn’t too outrageous. I like that they use local shops and that I get promo codes often in my email. My only complaint would be there’s no tracking so no way to see exactly when they’ll arrive. Hope to see that added in the future.

I just had my first experience with Minibar & they were perfect! I was able to request my time to be earlier than the 2 hour window & that was done. They responded immediately online after I emailed them & they coordinated all perfectly. All was efficient & perfect! So glad to know about this AP!

Also, the hotel I was sending the liquor to charged a fortune for a mediocre scotch but having it delivered Thru Minibar cost me half the price & I got a much superior scotch than thru the hotel.

We have always used MinibarDelivery to order to our apartment and the one time we had a slight issue (with either a technical glitch or a simple mistake on our end or who knows) we were contacted by their customer service and helped immediately by Julia. She was so friendly and helpful! Everything was worked out and we got our order situated and delivered just a few minutes later. Thank you so much Julia! (:

This is a genius idea and an awesome app - it’s so easy to order things - of course you gotta pay a delivery fee but that’s with anything you order so it’s not a big deal especially for the convenience you get - also they were out of one of the things I ordered and the customer service was friendly & responsive and fixed it quick - can’t complain at all

I’ve been wanting to use MinibarDelivery for a while ! It’s a great app to have for parties or get togethers that weren’t planned or random cause you ended up already drinking any liquor you may have ! Used to for my friends little get together we were fresh out of vodka for daiquiris and we were lazy to go out and get some so I had it delivered ! It was on our doorstep within 15 min the local liquor store wasn’t far from us ! So great app ! Great customer care !

Well i am going to start out by saying I was nervous and didn’t trust MinibarDelivery... but I placed an order and within an hour my order arrived! MinibarDelivery is user friendly, service was great and on point! Totally convenient and literally delivered to your door! I told my Best friend about MinibarDelivery and he tried it the same day and was totally impressed! I would continue recommending and using this my self! Cheers enjoy

I use delivery service apps all of the time, and this is the only one that has never disappointed. I always get my order within an hour. The delivery people are always friendly, and it’s always an easy, pleasant experience! The customer service is really knowledgeable and helpful too if you ever have any questions or issues. I definitely recommend!

I have had nothing but amazing experiences using Minibar Delivery! The customer service team is extremely friendly and helpful and my alcohol is always at my door is under an hour. I would recommend this service to anyone and everyone! It is the best service I have seen in a while!

Instead of telling you where the wine will come from, it makes you choose the wine and then tells you who is selling it. They do not tell you whether that shop is open or not, so you can end up picking a bunch of wines to find out the shop has been closed for hours— so then you need to pick wine all over again. After I cancelled an order I then had to sign out and back in - in order to pick it all over again. I could have called a local place and had them deliver wine in the time it took to navigate through MinibarDelivery. Ugh.

I used MinibarDelivery to purchase my mom a bottle of Champagne to be delivered to her Hotel Room in Nashville for Her Birthday. They added a card and had it delivered in 1 hour. Since she was not in her Room they left it with the Front Desk the notified me they did that. Very please with service will definitely use again

I needed a bottle for a party and it was already 830pm. Put AJ order in, had my bottle delivered in less than 90 minutes. If it were later than 9 I would have assumed the delivery would have been for the next day. Delivery man called me to assure the location was correct.

It was one of those nights, my wife had a wedding, I was babysitting and my house was dry. My friend recommended me to try MinibarDelivery and within 30 minutes (it was storming outside) my package arrived. App was super easy to order and very convenient. Will be using again. Thank you!!

MinibarDelivery was super easy to use and the delivery showed up right in the window. The only thing I wish is that there were more options for different types of alcohol but maybe that’s a store problem?! Highly recommend.
