Horrible experience and will take your money

So, I am writing this review as my issue has yet to resolved. I ordered 2 bottles of liquor using Minibar mainly because one of the bottles was a unique release 4 Roses. Not only was the delivery driver very late, they were also very rude. I blew this off as they did deliver. However, upon receiving my order I noticed the unique bottle I purchased was just a normal bottle of yellow label 4 Roses, which I did not order. I reached out to mini bar and the driver came to pick up the order and refund me and would take 3-5 days to refund. A week later still no refund so I contact customer service and they inform me that the refund got “hung-up” and it is still processing and would now be an additional 3-5 days before I am refunded…. I still have yet to be refunded nor, have I been contacted by the mysterious Ops Manager who was going to be notified. If and when I ever get refunded, I will most certainly delete this app and warn all potential users to avoid this app at all costs, as there as many similar apps that provide much better customer service and likely do not steal your money.

Multiple horrible experiences with delivery and customer service

I have ordered from Minibar 3-4 times and repeatedly been disappointed with their delivery service, customer service and responsiveness. I tried on 2 occasions to deliver gifts to friends, once as an e-gift card, and once as a physical delivery. Both times the items were not delivered and only after weeks of non delivery was I notified and asked to either take a partial refund minus shipping costs and 15% or told no refund was possible even though the gift card was not delivered. In the instance of the e-gift card I tried to correspond with their customer support for nearly 4 months and never received a refund. They took nearly 2 months to respond to my outreach and concern and I was only met with automated messages and no solutions offered. There are so many other reputable and trustworthy sites to work with, especially in NY/NJ area, do not give Minibar your business if you expect seamless delivery and appropriate customer support.

Pricing and minimum order quantity are way to high

I went to order and was astonished at how sky high the pricing was $22 for a 6 pack of beer, $33 for a 12 pack of another beer, $69 for a 750ml of Hennessy, and $56 for a 750ml of Grey Goose just to give you an idea of the pricing. I checked these prices against the Total Wine app and the same 6 pack was $11, 12 pack was $16, Hennessy was $33, and Grey Goose was $25. Minibars pricing isn't even competitive.

On top of that there's a $10 delivery fee, compared to the Total Wine delivery fee of $6 and the icing on the cake was that my minimum order fee was $150!!!! That's ridiculous.

In my opinion this service is to take advantage of people who are too drunk to drive and want to do they right thing by ordering alcohol online for delivery or people who don't know any better on alcohol prices. Do yourself a favor and shop around even Door Dash has better prices on alcohol and delivery. Don't waste your time with this app unless you have no other choice and are desperate.
