I bought the Dubai product as an add on and nothing but disappointing so far. It was supposed to work from 2nd jan- it didn’t. Some of the great offers from 2018 were all missing. Most restaurants had crazy conditions which were not reported anywhere (some said only a few dishes qualifies for the free offer even though it said main dishes, some said platters etc didn’t qualify as main dish even though they had sampling of all main dishes. At many places only non veg dishes had the offer. I had complimentary offers for my birthday but no one accepted it and blamed entertainer for putting wrong offers. Some place the said you can only use it on your birthday, some said it’s complementary after 3 months, some said I have to spend 300 dirham first to get complimentary part - none which was not mentioned anywhere and made no sense as there are cheaper one for one offers on the same app than the complementary ‘free’ offers. I have used entertainer for 15 years and never been so disappointed!! Btw the live chat is totally dead and don’t expect any customer service at all!! I wish I could get my money back for the Dubai product and never have to go through the expense and embarrassment of going to an establishment only to find entertainer made a terrible mistake and the deal doesn’t exist - and neither does customer service

Fraud on emails with offers

On Dec 26th I received and offer email from entertainer saying that if I purchase entertainer 2019 I will receive free use of voucher dieting the remaining days of 2018.... since I previously purchased Abu Dhabi 2019 same offer and it worked well so far I decided to click the link and purchase the same for Dubai this time.... and I used it without issues in December while staying in Dubai. Today I came back to visit dubai and to my surprise entertainer is not longer working .. so I contacted a very rude and totally useless customer service guy by the name of “Jason” using the chat and he said I am very sorry but your entertainer expired in Dec 30th???? So I was shocked ... how come? He said “you purchased 2018 on dec 26th and it expired in dec 30th” which is totally incorrect and if there is any kind of problem with your system that is not my fault ... how come a person will pay such an amount of money to have a service that last 365 days and have only 4 days???? I was naive enough to click the offer link and I say naive because this was a legitime email form entertainer ... customer service was rude, and not helpful at all. He refused to raise a complain number for my case and when I asked his full name at least he also refused to give it ... he said “you can read it from the chat” ... he said ...

New app is pretty bad

Not at all intuitive. Most of all for some bizarre reason they’ve decided to remove the distance of the venue from your current location. It was a very valuable feature but when you ask customer service (live chat support to be avoided at all costs) they just ignore your question and answer something about the mew layout. It has nothing to do with the layout but the removal of valuable information.

Btw, when you are logged in to your app and start their live support chat the agent insist that you provide your name and email. Why ? Can’t they pull this info from TheENTERTAINER from which I’m chatting. Well they cannot. Millions of dollars in profits yet they can’t pay a half descent programmer to integrate their chat properly and pass on the customer credentials to the support agent. Wow !

Very Convenient App Compared to the Book

I'm comparing TheENTERTAINER compared to the book rather than just as an app alone.
It's great having it on my phone anywhere I go and can search quickly for the place I want and also has my location and brings up options nearest to me at that moment! Awesome!
On the other hand I can't share it like I could with the book and everyone knows there is no way to use even 20% of the whole book on your own.
Definitely save paper having TheENTERTAINER and can buy instantly when a new one comes when and where easy for me.
Search function could be a lot better, doesn't find close matches for spelling.

Good if it works

Tried to sign up using PostPay on Friday. PostPay deducted money from my account and send me a loan agreement. As there was no confirmation from Entertainer on the purchase, contacted Entertainer and they told me they did not get any money from PostPay so they can’t do anything and take up with PostPay.

PostPay only work during normal working hours on working days. So no support on Friday and Saturday. To save a special offer from Entertainer, O decided to pay in full on Saturday and get the subscription ok Saturday which I did. As Entertainer confirmed that they did not get money I thought I shall take it up with PostPay and get the money refunded. On Sunday PostPay confirmed they can’t do anything and take it up with Entertainer which they confirmed on Friday itself that they won’t be able to do anything.

I wrote emails to Entertainer yesterday requesting resolution as I could not find any phone numbers. No response till 3:25 on Monday.

So which is the organization that should stay away, I am not sure.

And on the top of it, from yesterday I can’t order using Entertainer as it gives error when I try to pay. So paid twice for a product that I can’t use.

PostPay one should avoid based on my experience.

Can't order online and want my money back

Hi guys. I am extremely disappointed as I paid the entertainer subscription and I feel that I am getting no service especially during these tough times. You are adding to my anxiety. Whenever I try online order for delivery TheENTERTAINER locks me out and I can never get through!! How am I supposed to use entertainer during quarantine days to get my food delivered rather than go to the restaurant. I will appreciate getting my money back as I paid for no service whatsoever!

Payments broken

Online ordering doesn't work any more - a recent update seems to have broken payments - cards that previously worked fine no longer work. Doesn't permit the addition of new regular credit cards. Possibly represents a decision to provincialize TheENTERTAINER by withdrawing from the international banking system, which seems ill-advised as 90% of the residents of Dubai are expats. But hopefully it's a temporary glitch and they'll restore regular functionality soon!

Response to developer response: read my original review above. TheENTERTAINER stopped supporting international credit cards and thus became unusable for 99.9% of us in the world.

Not worth it any more

Sorry to say that, but it’s true, refer to the following reasons: 1- some restaurants & coffee shops has been removed and some other closed for further notice because of COVID-19. 2- most the year of 2020 we are unable to use the Entertainer because of COVID-19. 3- Which is the most important, in the previous packages there was Three Vouchers for each restaurants or coffee shops in each locations, but now it’s only Three Vouchers for all locations.
Now a day there are many other applications (Free) can provide same services.
It will be more approachable if you revise point # 3 and return back to previous packages; each Vouchers covered each locations separately. Thank You.

Overall, horrible customer service

Heads up, the company makes you think it’s approachable. You’ll receive a chatbot response from Umer, Theo, or Valentine. None of them is a human being. If they are, they’ll only have a scripted response to you. Either way, you have a robotic response. The Entertainer insists on collecting the subscription upfront. Their model is that most customers will recover the cost in the first couple of purchases. There should be no hassle after that. The fact is, they’re hustlers. It’s a touch and go service. Some times it works, some others it doesn’t. When it doesn’t, you have no recourse. You end uo with the Chatbots, Umer, Theo, and Valentine!

Worst Customer Service

This has turned out to be a complete rip off. I bought TheENTERTAINER 2 weeks ago and last night tried to use it at a restaurant. TheENTERTAINER was down and I ended up paying in full for a group of 5. Tried to reach out the The Entertainer via online chat and ended up talking with Chat Bots, conveniently named as Nathan, Phillips, and Mary. Have been waiting for an email of apology but nothing since last night. And of course no inkling of when I will get reimbursed.
Be aware when buying this product. It is a rip off!

2022 offers do not worth your money!!

They always find a way to make money off of you while offering less. They split the restaurants to gourmet and classic so you won’t be able to go to all the ones you went in 2021 with only 1 subscription, not to mention they have increased the price!
When brought to attention to customer service, Andy was being the most unhelpful customer service. Took him 10 minutes to say that he cannot help. LOL it’s a joke. Money wasted but never again. So many people I referred to in 2021 but I will be sure to spread the word in 2022 about their “updates”!!

Best App

This is my second year using the Entertainer. I saved 3 times of the book value this year and still didn’t use more than 30% of the Coupons 😃 will definitely buy it again next year. I recommend it for all.

Please bring back maps

It was much easier and more friendly to navigate and find places when we had a map. Now it’s very difficult and I feel lost using TheENTERTAINER . I don’t know what is next to me and I don’t know if there is something worth visiting even if it’s far. I have to type and search for a very specific area/location to find a good place, it’s very difficult !!!

Missing one Important feature

TheENTERTAINER is great and works without any issues.
The only most wanted missing feature that almost everyone has been waiting for is to add the menu option in order to view the place menu before you can decide if you willgo or not.
Please add this menu feature and then TheENTERTAINER would be complete.

All options are redeemed automatically?!

I have been using TheENTERTAINER since the beginning of 2020 but after the latest update, I noticed a lot of the restaurants that I visit frequently had already been redeemed and ‘locked’ even though I didn’t even use the coupons yet. Out of 18 coupons, I only used 4 and the rest just became unavailable to me. Even the customer support was of no use, they simply said we’ll look into it and vanished.

TheENTERTAINER is so easy to use and hubby and I are enjoying trying new places to socialize. I love the fact that you can buy back vouchers with smile points. Definitely worth the purchase. I think we earned our money back in the first six weeks!

Hi.. I bought the entertainer app last year by using a prepaid Visa card and it worked but now am trying to buy 2019 by prepaid Visa card but it doesn’t work by telling me we were unable to verify your card details.. but my card is working and has no problems please can you fix this problem do I can have the new vouchers for 2019 .. thanks

The update is very bad ..Application not working

The new update is very bad ...This year we didn’t enjoy with The application due to the Covid-19 .. in addition to the new update make the application very stupid..I live in qatar and he insist to locate me At Dubai. Also it is not working and ask for GPS to work ., also it is now shown any offers and show only “The request time out” .. please do something we lose the benefit of the application and the money as well.
