ShinePhone is buggy and terrible and the UI/ UX are horrible, the product owner should be fired. I have been trying to connect my growatt to ShinePhone for weeks now and nothing works, when I get to the step where is to connect the datalogger hotspot it keeps telling me to connect to the WiFi module, which I am! Fix ShinePhone or get someone who can, we don’t pay this kind of money for a product just to have the application side of not work!!

Day 1: TRIED to setup Wi-Fi. Never worked as advertised.
Manual does not match unit. Pictures are not what’s on app. Does not default to AP MODE. No instructions on how to do it. Description of the unit needs to clarify what steps are. I got in web looking for an update manual for the Wi-Fi-F. No luck there either. The -F must be for FAILURE.
I work with technology and couldn’t get this to work. After several hours. I give up till another day. Maybe it will magically start to work.

The interface is horrid. The numbers are so small you can’t read them without a magnifying glass! Half the time you have to refresh the screen 5-6 times to get maybe current data. And the other half the text is so small you give up trying to read it… Growatt fix your app! AND, it sends a notice there is a fault then doesn’t even list the fault. Just says to check the machine. set the whole reason of ShinePhone is to monitor your system while you’re gone so if I’m gone, how can I check the system to find out what the fault is? Why don’t you just send that information in the notice?

All of the features I used to use on ShinePhone or gone I’m not even sure if it’s even worth having on my phone then again I don’t think it is worth having my phone. I might just throw away transponder on the unit and delete ShinePhone this thing is terrible, what a great idea to make an app that barely worked unusable

After the latest update to ShinePhone, the initial screen with the nice graphics showing power distribution among the PV system, grid, and house has disappeared. Now, it is very difficult to determine how much power the house is using from the solar panels versus the grid. I haven't noticed any other improvements, so it is hard to understand why the developers upgraded the software. It is unfortunate that there are no widely available brand-name solar panels in the country where I installed them, leaving me stuck with this poor-quality app.

Poorly written software and very poor testing. The service inquiry interface has countless bugs. It extremely difficult to get a question entered that is allowed to be saved. You can only see the first line of a response, the rest is truncated.
There are numerous parameters in error and many incorrectly scaled- many temperatures are off one decimal place. Parameters are listed that do not exist in the device and others are missing.
It takes a lot of patience and careful thought to determine what the numbers actually are.

App no longer works on Ipad!
I hadn't used app for maybe a few weeks other than that it had been working okay previously.
..just a few day ago i tried locating ShinePhone just to find out it was no longer installed, anyway went through all the steps to re add and reconfigure, seems like ShinePhone is broken as wont let me get past adding the data logger(wifi Module) installation step. I am able to use the camera to add then serial number, once i click on next it displays it was successfully added but doesn't allow the remaining step to be selected preventing a successful install. Tried deleting and reinstalling with out success..hopefully Devs will fix issue with and update sooner that later!!

ShinePhone worked well enough until the latest update. I’ve been using ShinePhone since the beginning of 2023 and it did it’s job. Since the most recent update it’s pretty worthless. Can’t see any information about the inverter or the charge controllers even though all data loggers are online and operating. Not even worth using ShinePhone until Growatt fixes this issue.

Despite numerous revisions ShinePhone still has major problems.
Sometimes it records power consumption spikes as high as 80,000 watts (the inverter is 6 kW), making the graphic portrayal worthless
Dashboard and Plant screens do not agree.
Accumulated energy and current power generation do not update. The only way to get updated information is to change screens back and forth.
ShinePhone has potential but the bugs make it pretty much worthless.

In the previous version, power energy in the graph can be viewed as a colour version but in the updated new version all are the same colours. That is disappointing.

Last few days, the new update makes ShinePhone failure on iOS, I tried different devices but it didn’t work properly, the plant page not loading the whole data, not showing the usual power diagram

I have been using the this app app with a Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM-24P that's been up and running for a few months now, and it mostly works as expected. However, since day 1, it seems I'm only able to input values for the 48v model on Charge and Float point (50v-64v). I can't seem to find any way to configure ShinePhone for 24v nominal range. Most settings I can manage in ShinePhone while I'm away, but setting proper float and charge voltages is only possible on the physical unit due to this limitation. I presume ShinePhone is hard coded with those voltage ranges to accommodate the 48v model, without consideration for the 24v range.

The other thing that seems missing is the ability to power off/on/reboot the device remotely. This would be hugely helpful in a few key situations. As it stands, I'm looking at third-party devices that I can hardwire into the power switch so I can power switch power remotely. It would be great if we could properly manage on/off/reboot status within ShinePhone .

Been using this for about a month now and ShinePhone or server is really unstable. However, it provides good insight in PV and Grid Power et al so I’m loving that. The Landscape view not being available is a big bummer cos I want to have tablet installed by my inverter setup for anyone to view status but portrait only just doesn’t cut it.

Unless I’m missing something,this version appears to have broken ShinePhone . I can no longer see what my individual chargers and inverters are doing on the “Plant” page.

Update- it looks like they may have fixed something on the backend. The plant page seems to be working again. They also seem to be on the road fixing the graphs. The colors have returned, but I can only see data for solar input at the moment.

Connecting the USB WiFi module took way more effort than it should have. The included instructions were for a different model. Now that it is communicating, ShinePhone is pretty good. For some reason it doesn’t capture weather information, even though I entered my address.

I love ShinePhone and the ability it gives me to have real-time information no matter where I am. The only problem I have found recently is that the network times out quite often and ShinePhone can be buggy to the point where it has no longer continued to add up the total amount of storage. I wish they would update ShinePhone so it can run like it did when I downloaded it.

I have been using ShinePhone for a few years and they keep improving it with updates.
I find it essential for managing my off grid solar system that runs my home.

Use it daily to monitor my two growatt inverters. I set the time increment to .2 for a accurate real time picture of what’s going on. I don’t typically review apps but I think the 2 star average for ShinePhone is undeserved.

Need to add notifications for when the system is off the grid.

Work well but in the last update the graphics color doesn’t work. Hope this can be resolved.
