I clicked to join this program from an after-purchase offer that said “claim $50 bonus.” That did not appear in my account after following all instructions. I could not find information about how it worked - or really how any of OceanShopping /subscription/program works - on OceanShopping or the website. In addition, within OceanShopping on different areas, there was conflicting information about my “trial subscription.” One place said I’d be charged 8.99 after a thirty-day trial; another area said I’d be charged 4.95 on June 27.
With these questions, I contacted customer service chat and, after a couple days, received a reply saying, “Hi, thanks for your understanding while we transition from the old cash back system - which most customers found too confusing and challenging to use - to the simpler mechanism, where future purchases will be reimbursed immediately and automatically without you having to take any action. That being said, we would of course be happy to transfer the balance you had remaining to your PayPal. I can see that your balance was $9 -- is it ok if we send that to mailto…” In other words, a scripted response to a question I didn’t ask, and no response to my actual questions. I politely responded saying so - and then followed up again three days later when there was no additional response.
No response back yet. Not sure if enrolled companies know how bad this is. That’s my long story to tell you not to waste your time, let alone give them a subscription fee.
