This could be a really good game but it is totally missing the mark and I’m not sure I will keep it: - The only way to buy out of the ads is to pay $1.19 (on sale😂) PER DAY!! You really want me to pay you $35 PER MONTH to eliminate ads to make it enjoyable to play your game? Are you nuts? - There is no way to earn boosters as you go through the game. - You earn a few coins for most levels but there is nothing to do with them. You can’t use them to buy anything. And then you hit a hard or extra-hard level and once you pass, the only option is to watch an ad or skip getting your coins for the level (kinda feels like getting cheated). - They force you into the races - no way to opt out. And then you have to click out of the results after each game. I enjoy the game concept but you can’t really get into the flow of the game with the forced ad watching. And no game is worth $35/month.

EDIT: Like all of them of the genre, the difficulty suddenly increases and the time allowed to complete a level suddenly decreases and then you are just stuck unless you want to pay $$. I don’t mind some investment to make a game more enjoyable to play but when having impossible levels becomes a business model, no thanks. I’m not interested in a money pit nor playing the same level over and over again. Too bad!

I loved this game until the update yesterday. Instead of having to do the untangling in a certain number of moves, it is now timed. I can still do it in the time allotted but they may reduce the time as people get more used to it. They added some features that weren’t on the previous version…which you will have to pay for…or sometimes watch advertisements. The few puzzles I’ve seen were more difficult and increase the chance that you will be burdened with ads or have to pay. I was only able to do a couple of levels (although I did the second one 3 times) because the game kept crashing.
I used to find the game relaxing so I played it in the doctors waiting room or when I was winding down to go to sleep at night. Now I just get frustrated. If they fix the bugs so it will run, I will try it again. But if the ads and token payments get to high I will have to delete it

I got TangleRope only because it was the only untangled rope app I could find that didn’t have a timer. It was a very fun and relaxing game that you can take your time figuring your way out of all the tangles at your own pace. Adding a timer makes it very nerve racking. You tense up just trying to beat a clock. Just when you get down to the end, the timer runs out and you have to start over. Very stressful!

Also, I can’t figure out what all my gold coins do for me. To just change the style or color of the ropes doesn’t make much sense. Should be able to buy boosters with those coins.

PLEASE, get rid of the timer, or give an option to do it either way and make those coins have a good purpose. I’m ready to ditch TangleRope, way too stressful now☹️

What is the purpose of winning coins if you are unable to use them to buy coupons for more time. I have had to spend so much time on one puzzle and almost gave up on the last one. Almost ready to stop playing altogether.

This is my new favorite game. No timer, which is great because it is much more relaxing (there are limited “moves”, but you can restart if you need to). You can pay a small fee to get rid of ads, and other ads are purely optional. It is easy at first and gets more difficult as you play more levels. There is a section for special challenge games that are more difficult (you earn the option to play those).
It is relaxing and you aren’t constantly having to feed it money. Thank you!

I recently bought this application after playing it for a few days. I enjoyed the challenge of moving the ropes around to untangle them. I appreciated doing the challenge without having a timer counting down, and instead being based on the number of moves.

I played round after round and enjoyed this diversion. I found it relaxing.

Then a few days ago, TangleRope changed. It is now using a timer and I find that stressful and anxiety inducing. I do not like this change.

I have tried sending a message to the developers asking for the option of being a move based round *or* timed.

My message only generated an automated reply, but nothing in response.

Before the change in style, I loved TangleRope. Now I am becoming agitated when I play it and am giving a far more harsh review than I would have a few days ago.

A new update ruined the game. They installed a timer, but it starts while you are just looking so by the time you think about it and make a move, the time is gone. They installed tickets which cost $4.99 that give you options to do things like cut ropes and open spots. I was offered 3 tickets within 15 minutes. $15 to play a few moves!!!!!!! That had suddenly made the game Uber expensive. Originally I loved the game but thought they should make it harder. I did not think they would make it horribly stressful. What a waste. Well, it was fun while it lasted. I’ll go back to Magic Pizzles for relaxation.

Nicer game, relaxing, no time limits- only ‘moves’, a bit easier but good to relax. AND no need to purchase anything other than AdFree. Still, you don’t HAVE to purchase in order to play AND progress. I deleted the other rope game.

What people forget ( was reading complaints about this) is we used to pay a small fee for the apps before they started the ’in app purchases’, HIGHLY RECOMMEND:)

I like the game, but there way too many ads! An ad after every level and then you have to watch an ad to get any extras. I get why there has to be ads, just don’t get why so many?? I would play more often if there were fewer of those annoying ads. And why does it have to be the same ones over and over and over?? I guarantee I will never download those games…I’m sick of them just from seeing the ads a thousand times!!

Fun game! It has just the right amount of easy and relaxing levels to more challenging levels. It’s a great game for keeping the mind alert. I play this game for several hours every single day! There are ads yes, but I paid the small amount for no ads and have been extremely happy playing ever since.

I’m on level 72 and one thing I’ve learned is you won’t be able to pass a level without watching at least 5 ads or you pay money. The game would be no. 1 if they would no. 1, not time the levels. No. 2 you could pay to skip the ads forever, not just 24 hours. So, I’m looking for an untangle game that gives me those 2 things. So far, they’re all like this. So, I’m really really tired of watching ads and I’m not going to sink my life savings on this game so it’s over for me.

I would love this game if I could turn off the timer. Don’t have time to be locked into the game like that. I enjoy the game and actually deleted a different untie knot game and tried this one because of being timed. I tried this one because someone reviewed that there was no timer for the game. True for first hand full of games…. Then it is timed and, like the other game, no option for turning it off. Bummed

I love this game until reaching levels in the 200’s. Throughout the game every level is timed. In the beginning there is no problem solving it in the time allotted time. Once you get higher in the levels it becomes impossible to solve the puzzle. You waste you own time by watching ads to add time over and over so you can solve it. I deleted the game at that point.

Happily played this game for several weeks. Lots of ads, but I paid the small fee to eliminate them. I deleted a similar game because it had timed levels. Then at Level 435, the puzzles became much more complex, AND ADDED A TIMER!!! This was what made this game relaxing— no timer. I don’t care how complex the levels are AS LONG AS I CAN TAKE MY TIME TO FIGURE THEM OUT. So disappointing. Without the timer, this would be a 5 star review

I liked this game strictly because there weren’t any time limits like the other one. You had limited moves, which was fine. Still made the higher levels somewhat challenging. I even bit the bullet and purchased the ad free version. Now with the recent update, TIME LIMITS!! And to buy boosters or an extra 45 seconds, you have to watch an ad. The coins earned after each level are virtually useless. Deleting.

I love this type of puzzle but the timer countdown makes it too frustrating for players with limited vision and/or fine motor disabilities. Better to count how long it takes to solve, or count how many moves are taken to solve the puzzle. I will check for updates periodically and when the measurement type is changed I will be happy to make purchases. Thank you.

I thought at first these would all be a breeze, but they up the ante and make them more challenging. Yes, the ads are annoying, and no, I don’t want to pay, so I put up with them. At least one can shorten the time a bit sometimes.

I really like the game however being an elderly person (75 years old) I am not as fast as I used to be. in your next upgrade I would greatly appreciate a version that is not timed. I really enjoyed the challenge however I find the timed version very frustrating making me want to delete TangleRope . Thank you

I just got TangleRope and it is so satisfying it get challenging after a little bit but it is a lot of fun I don’t like the adds I get they are trying to get money bet I feel like it would be a lot more easier if there was none but other then that I love it!

This game is ridiculous. Play 1 board and get an ad. Sorry but no thanks, your game maybe great & challenging but I’ll never find out because after playing 8 levels I’ve had enough. And it’s only $7.99 to remove ads, yikes if that isn’t inflation then I don’t know what inflation is! If you like to watch ads for free, then this is your game. For me, no thank you, there’s too many other options. And I’ll never play another game from ur group.

Yeah, I don’t like it, either. I like figuring out the puzzles, enjoy the animation, but working against time doesn’t enhance the experience, instead spoils it for me. Maybe an option to pay a fee to permanently remove the timer, similar to one-time fee for removing ads?

Might be fun except for the extremely annoying, incessant ads. CONSTANTLY scrounging and begging for a LOT of money in order to stop the ads. Gets to a level not possible to complete unless you, you guessed it, spend actual cash for their “tools” that will break through the overconstrained problem. Not a legitimate game. Awards “points”, but these can’t be used for anything. If there was a 0 star option, this deserves it. If you guys need money that bad, wait tables or something.

Twisted Tangle because you aren’t paying an arm and a leg for everything. Well, sort of. After every single game, it gives you the option of collecting a few coins or double that with an ad. Either way, you get an ad. Yes, after every single round. The excessive ads make it difficult to play for long periods without going stir crazy. The positive to that is that you aren’t being charged at every turn. I wish the developers would understand that we all have our limits to what is reasonable and acceptable and what is way over the top.

I understand that if I download a game for free I will have to put up with some ads, but this game has way to many! There are ads between every level. This one I get, but the levels don’t last long, so every two levels seem like it would be a good compromise. The thing that gets me is that you earn coins for finishing a level, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to use those coins to “buy” the scissors, hammer, etc. that you need to solve the puzzles after the first few. The last “super hard” level you needed at least 2 hammers and a scissors or two. The only way to get these is to buy them or to watch ads, as far as I can tell. No thanks! I deleted TangleRope, which is too bad. I would have enjoyed playing it.

I sampled a few rope/cord tangle games before deciding to buy Tangle Rope. It's by far the most satisfying form of game play for the genre and includes a sub-challenge race to earn bonuses. Even though I paid to eliminate ads, I like that it offers optional ads to increase level time or gain a one-use-on-level booster. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is that the coins awarded for every achievement can’t be used to purchase boosters - at least then earning the coins would feel more purposeful than just for new skins during game play. It’s a whole lotta fun!

So much potential despite the ads, but the timer ruins this game. Many of the boards can only be solved if the rope swings *just right* and you can grab the point under it. If you reach a board that only has one or two open spaces, you can spend fifteen minutes watching ads to unlock additional spaces and still not clear the board because the rope didn’t swing the right way on one (or six) point(s). And there’s no way to skip a board, so if you get stuck, the game is unplayable. If it weren’t timed, it would be a very fun challenge to untangle those extra difficult boards and then continue on with additional boards. But it is timed so I can’t play the game at all.

NO game requires what would be a DAILY payment to play. The ads are pretty awful and they are constant.
If you are going to award coins for passing a level, at least let us buy boosters with them. I’ve been playing for only one day, but my frustration level is higher than my fun level.

It’s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star game if you’re looking for a game and you’re looking at the critical reviews don’t mind them get the game and play it has gorgeous graphics it’s like the best game ever. I love it. I have been trying to find new games on my iPad and I can’t find any because all the critical reviews are one stars cause you see that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get it so that’s why you should get it. have a nice day.

The game is good, the way it works is good and stuff like that, but the problem is, there’s WAY TOO MANY ADS! After every round there’s an ad, and the worst thing is, each round doesn’t take long. So you basically have an ad every few minutes. And another thing is, I would like the levels to be a bit harder. Maybe it’s because I haven’t gone too far along the game yet but it’s starting to get boring. The levels are a bit easy. I’m beating them way too fast, and they just don’t seem challenging enough, there’s a 5 minute timer at the top and so far, after 50 levels, I’ve beat them all in less than 1 minute. I just started playing tonight but I don’t think I’ll keep it for much longer. Kinda disappointed tbh.

The game itself is ok, could be great fun. The problem is the advertisements come way more often than most of the games I play. Also, some of the ads are VERY long. I haven’t timed them but there is often no way to x out of the ad after 5-10 seconds. This is such a distraction when concentrating on untangling. This obstructions don’t actually work to get a customer to get the product being advertised…it just pisses us off. In this day & age, if you can’t get my attention by 5-10 seconds, you sure won’t get it by stranglehold for 30-45 seconds! I have closed it out & started over first.
It would also be an improvement to remove the timer. The times are often too short & it becomes irritating rather than fun. The graphics are great!

I used to have a different untangling game. But it got very frustrating because I would run out of lives and not be able to refill them. So I looked for a better untangling game. And I found this one!

It is so much better because you don't have lives. If you fail a level, you just watch an ad and play again. So I can play as much as I want to without having the game stop me.

It's not often I rate games, but I had to rate this one because it's a much better experience than the previous game I tried.

This game began as a pretty fun, different addition to other online games. It was bizarre that there was never any explanation of what to do w/accrued coins, so quickly stopped watching videos for bonuses. And speaking of the videos/ads...they are CONSTANT. And LONG. The final straw was finding that at higher levels, there is often no solution (even if you're willing to sit through a ton of videos) without in-app aid purchases. That stinks. So 3/5 only because the concept is good & was fun for awhile, but the other is a complete turn-off & so will be deleting my acct today.

This game is perfect for my ADHD. It lets me clear my head when I’m overwhelmed. The levels start easy and get increasingly hard, then easy again. You can change color and texture of the ropes. I would give 5 stars if 1. I could get rid of the adds permanently instead of paying for just a day of add free play, 2. The in-app purchases had a better variety of packages, 3. I could play casually, without a timer. That timer stresses me!

I think you should download this game because there is many fun things to do. It is a good challenge for your brain. If you were upset it comes you down so I think you should download it. There is different levels since I am on hard it’s harder and easy is easy, so I really think you should download this game. It is very fun and calming and makes a very good pop noise when you make it right so definitely download it.

Before I download an app, I read the reviews. I like to know the good and the bad. This one had mixed. Some said too many ads, some said the ads didn’t bother them, so I gave it a try. The ads are RIDICULOUS. There are ads between every level, which I suppose is to be expected. However, the ads are longer than it takes to complete some levels. I also agree with the timer. There was no warning that the timed levels would begin, they just started. Then to have to pay to make the timer go away, well…that was enough for me to delete TangleRope . I like fun, not stress.

Like others have said, TangleRope is awesome. I'm a few hundred levels in, but it's another money grab. I wish they could just have an option to continue with a next move without a timer, because even sometimes an extra 40 second timer doesn't save you. It's advertised as a relaxing game but it isn't that at all. It's stressful and competitive to get to the next level.

Game has begun featuring inappropriate ads. Game is challenging. You have no choice but to see an ad between every level, though. Tonight is the first time I’ve ever seen something like these ads on this children’s game! Developer, please, make your ad service preview their ads. Certain ads are simply completely inappropriate for viewing on a children’s game. Thank you!

Great concept—- but too many ads that drive you crazy! When are developers gonna realize showing us the same ads over and over and over is not making us buy anything. And what are my coins for? I can’t buy boosters so what’s the point? There’s not even a daily booster collect so if you can’t untangle the ropes in the ridiculous allotted time on the timer you just exit the game since you have no boosters. You can watch an ad for one but with all the other ads you have to watch just forget it.

I really like the game. It’s super fun and I love playing it in my free time. It’s strangely addictive and the gameplay is super smooth. The only thing that is unsatisfying about this the constant ad breaks. I understand that it is hard to stop constant ads when you are developing a game, but I’m a free to play player and I don’t spend money on these games!! At least an ad break after every other level instead of after every single level would be much more fun.

I really like this game and it will be a lot more fun if they weren’t so many ads. Every single time I finish a level there is always a ad. It is a game about how to untie a knot. For example it’s like you have to move the knots around to make sure the knots don’t get too tangled. This will be a five star rating for this game, but there is just so many ads. I will really like if they can fix that so that I can play this game every day without so many ads.
