GalateaTV is ridiculously overpriced compared to all the other streaming services out there. The quality is good but at more than $30 per show it is way to expensive for the length of the show and after spending $15 and not being halfway through the first show I would not recommend it. Also the book version has the option for annual subscription, a much more reasonable price option.

I have the unlimited Galatea subscription for the books and I read A LOT. I was excited for this app until I found out that my subscription to the book app didn’t carry over to the TV app. Deleted immediately after waiting over 24 hours to watch another minute and a half long episode. Link the apps!

I was super interested in the shorts. However, there is no way to earn free coins like other apps. I can afford to pay so much for just short movie. Please consider having a way to earn free coins. I don’t mind saving up coins, but I had to give up on the stories.

I was initially quite pleased with GalateaTV and even decided to purchase some coins to enhance my experience. However, my positive impression quickly turned sour when the last two recent coin purchases I made mysteriously disappeared. Despite reaching out to customer support, I was simply told that I no longer had any coins. This lack of accountability and transparency in managing users' purchased assets is highly disappointing. I urge the developers to rectify this issue promptly, refund my money or credit me with the missing coins, and improve their coin management system to avoid such frustrations for future users.

I never download these apps unless they have a subscription option because otherwise, I’m paying more money to watch one show then I would to go to the movies. Steaming services cost less. You get all the shows you want for a monthly price. I only get these apps if they have the option to have a subscription. It states in the In-App Purchases section on GalateaTV Store that it has a year and a weekly subscription. So, I went ahead and downloaded GalateaTV and I started a show, hoping I could finish it with a subscription. Instead, I ended up paying $50+ dollars for the one show.

Find a way to earn free coins

Liked to be to earn coins like the other app.

I’m not seeing a way to ‘earn’ coins like can be found on some other story apps. Big disappointment

I know it costs to do a show but spent $10 and not even halfway through. I’m not spending more than i would to go to the movies to see the shows. Very disappointed.

Would love a month ly membership already have one for the books not a lot to choose for here ! I will give it a shot! I have giving it a shot. It’s extremely expensive and not worth it save your money people.

Spent 15 thinking I would get all 60 episodes because the first was 25 coins. Nope I got 25… you can buy a movie for cheaper. It’s a rip off! Disgusted with this! They would make so much more from me if it was one price for all episodes

I got suckered into some of the similar apps out there, and I don’t mind paying some $ to support the actors and production crew. However, this is by far the biggest rip off on the market. It costs around $50 per series, no option to buy the whole thing in bulk, and some episodes are 30seconds while others are a minute and a half and filled with fluff (while it’s unthinkable that on these platforms where they edit everything down to 30s-1min long episodes there would be fluff, well they find a way) no way to skip episodes for example or to preview episodes etc.!

Look, I’m one of those people where at this point in my life I’d be willing to pay $15-$20 per series. It’s the deception and beyond exorbitant price that I find annoying and quite frankly insulting so I will be deleting GalateaTV right now.

Also, as enticing as they make the ads, trust me that you’re not missing much- they drag things out unnecessarily, no character development, no scene ever goes beyond kissing though they do say the F word a lot. You’d be far better off watching a classic rom-com! Better actors, story and development arks

Like all apps like this, you get to watch the first few episodes without a problem. But GalateaTV, unlike others, do not have multiple ways to gain more coins so that you can continue the story. Most apps at least will let you watch a certain amount of ads to unlock episodes and watch more ads to get bonus coins. GalateaTV just wants you to pay. I get that it goes towards the actors, and everyone behind the show but I’m a viewer just watching these for fun. I don’t feel like spending my own money on an app. My recommendation, find the name of the story you like and see if it’s been posted somewhere else for free

I was sucked in by seeing a preview of the show Mason. They mislead you about how much it will cost. $30 later and I’m very disappointed. The free first half of the show was much better than the second half I paid for. The acting was pretty good but production was not and the story suddenly rushed along a predictable plot. I am deleting GalateaTV.

The stories that I see on GalateaTV look absolutely amazing and from the couple episodes that you actually get to watch, they’re not bad there should definitely be a way to watch ads to gain coins and watch ads to unlock episodes like every other short story app out there I have kept GalateaTV in hopes that it would change and it hasn’t if anybody actually reads these reviews hopefully, they take into consideration that that’s what they should do. I’ve seen many other people that are saying the same thing.

I was so excited for GalateaTV. I have the yearly subscription for Galatea and was hoping there would be some type of membership option for this one as well. After calculating how much each complete story would cost it’s way to expensive. Hopefully you come up with either daily login points or a subscription option.

I am a subscriber on Galatea reading and I do love GalateaTV and always find something to read and when I saw the ad for this I immediately downloaded cause I wanted to watch the books I’ve read and loved come to life. While I can it is very expensive to unlock episodes and since I already pay $70 a year for the reading service, that subscription fee should include the shows on GalateaTV as well. It is too expensive and as I am already paying for the books, the subscription needs to be inclusive and allow full access to the shows as well.

Love the idea but you have to spend money. You can not earn coins in anyway and ep can not be unlocked after a a certain time period. I think both should be capable. Especially when the ep time is so different. You also do not get a a menu option to look thru chapters to see what’s coming up. You should be able to spend your coins on the chapter you want. Instead your forced to watch all of them and have to scroll thru to rewatch from beginning. Also no subscription option. Would love to get for a couple of months.

Would love to give higher rating but can’t. The chapters are 30-45 seconds and are very expensive. Not worth it.

I have been reading books on the original Galatea app for a long time. I pay for the unlimited yearly subscription so I can read as much as I want and believe me…. I read a lot! I was very excited when the Galatea TV app came out however, there is not the same subscription option. :(. I would like to either have an unlimited subscription option like we have on the book app, even better, tie them together. An option for unlimited access to both. Either way, I’ll stick with reading for now.

Good stories but after a few episodes you have to pay to read on. Other apps that I use do a watch an ad to watch then the next episode is free up to 5 ads to watch then you have to pay to read on. I like that much better than a few free episodes then you have to pay. No thanks.

There is no free watching. It says no subscription but it makes you buy coins to watch episodes
Maybe unlimited watching should be included if you pay for the unlimited version of Galatea novels

I just joined GalateaTV, and I am not very impressed. You can’t choose what episode you want to watch. It goes in order and there is no way to skip episodes. Also, many “episodes” are very short-like anywhere from 45 SECONDS to 2 minutes. So far I have not seen many that are longer than that. It is not worth the money you are charged.

I love the stories but all the apps are way to expensive. 60 bucks to get through a story, I can buy the book for 20 bucks. This is probably be my only one I purchase.

I will not bother with GalateaTV further until it has an option to have a subscription. I don’t mind paying $20 (or whatever price is decided) a week for unlimited content, but I will NOT spend obscene amounts of money for a single series. Content looks great, but not worth the price. There are other great apps out there with the subscription option, I will stick with those until this company comes to their senses.

As many have said the acting is great, story line was good (at least the one I watched, the arrangement) but….chapters range from 30-40 seconds or 1 1/2 minutes but both cost the 50 coins. The one I watched cost me $40 to watch, with the 100 free coins you get from following on social medias and I still have one chapter left that I will wait until tomorrow to watch if I remember. I won’t be purchasing another. I knew going into it it was going to be way over priced, which is why I don’t have their reading app anymore. But just to give people perspective before they download, mine had 96 chapters, first 13 were free. Netflix is $30 a month and the rest of the streaming apps much much cheaper soooo….yea, I’ll stick with those.

I love the Galatea app with the novel and audio books. I don’t mind paying for a monthly subscription with that app. That is what GalateaTV needs. I can’t justify spending so much money on coins. If there was a monthly subscription feature added it would definitely make GalateaTV worth it. I like the short films and the quality is great so paying for the subscription would be a no brainer!

I like the content but I only pay for apps that have a weekly or monthly unlock rate otherwise I’m spending $50 on a single show. If they have the ability to earn coins or pay a flat rate per week to unlock, I would definitely be a subscriber.

Loved watching til it asked me to buy coins. Why pay $50 to watch one movie when I can go buy the books or watch a new release movie for $25. I pay a weekly subscription to flex tv. Come up with monthly or weekly i will buy bit til then no thank you

I love the acting, definitely draws you in but there needs some stuff done to make GalateaTV enjoyable to watch. A rewards system to earn coins like watching ads instead of just buying coins. What also irritates me is I collected my 100 coins for being a new watcher and an ad shows up while I’m watching it and snags my 50 coins I was using to view another video. So ultimately I love the content just don’t like how it’s set up. Please fix this!!

Love GalateaTV !! Love watch the books on Galatea come alive. The only reason why I didn’t rate it with 5 stars is because GalateaTV needs a few more tweaks. There should be a way with getting coins or unlocking episodes by watching ads everyday. I have other apps that do that and it make GalateaTV more enjoyable. Also, there needs to be a way to go from episode 1 to the last episode without having to go though all the episodes in between. If I watch a show and want to rewatch it, I don’t want to go through all the episodes to get back to the first one. There needs to be a way to watch any episode without scrolling through all the episodes.

I love the stories, the acting is amazing but the prices to watch a 1 minute video is ridiculous, I can’t even get into the video without it telling me to “unlock” the rest it’s unnecessary and like I get you have to make money off of GalateaTV but at this point it’s scamming me, but love the stories and the actors are great.
Please change that or work on it, its not fun thank you!.

The quality of the shows on GalateaTV are really good, sometimes they remind of a short film. I started watching a show called Mason and would love to finish it, but you have to buy coins in order to watch the next episode. As a suggestion, there should be a watch ad feature in order to unlock the next episode, and if there’s gonna be new content there should be like a short trailer on what could happen in the show.

I actually do enjoy these types of apps. I would just prefer an actual subscription. It’s expensive to complete a series. I think y’all could come up with a better solution that keeps this operating. I wouldn’t mind short ads in between if it meant cutting down cost.

GalateaTV is great and the short dramas are also. There should be a way to earn coins through watching ads. I think this would boost your views.

I’m excited that there is a live performance of the book Gideon but I feel the episodes are a little expensive. Every episode is the same amount of coins whether it’s 40 secs long or 2 minutes long which is quite unfair.

I am excited that Gideon is now in video form in Galatea TV and I am excited to see all the stories that will come but I believe the prices of the videos should be even across all episodes or if an episode is more is should be longer in length. But all in all I am excited.

I enjoyed reading beautiful mistake so glad the story was chosen for a live adaptation. Hope there’s more soon……..

I genuinely love GalateaTV because it come in a series of Galatea apps so you can read, listen, and watch your favorite books. It’s so fascinating how all of the actors are actually good at acting where as in other apps they are not good at all. The books are magnificent. And the audio books are so clear you can hear everything.

I love GalateaTV so much! All the different styles and books are amazing. The only thing that I absolutely do not like is the wait time. Other than that, I highly recommend! 10/10

Can you please fix this issue so I can enjoy this game because it looked really cool in the ads.

It’d be nice to be able to watch commercials or games to gain access to episodes, not all supporters have it then when we can’t pay loose interest in the whole app

So neat to see the characters brought to life! I hope to see more stories in the future. I especially loved seeing that Gideon was chosen. That was one of my favorite stories I’ve ever read!

I’m on the second episode and I am enjoying the story. Why not just make it a kindle story? You would have an audience for sure. Loving the actor so fine.

I absolutely love GalateaTV and the 2 stores I have read well I completed one of them and have started the other one. But the only thing is I wish there was a way to earn coins instead of having to buy them because it costs a lot to watch just one story
