Sandata was supposed to be new and improved. It has not worked since the launch in July 2024. It at times has not worked at all and for the past month it doesn’t record my visits. If I had to rely on Sandata for a paycheck I wouldn’t get one!
Thank God my company still uses paper!
For an app that is a necessity for work. Its absolutely horrible. I would rather go back to good ol pen and paper. Sandata doesn’t save clients so you have to always know their Medicaid numbers. Who has time to memorize those numbers?
Every time you swipe out of Sandata it logs you out. Therefore you need to login each and every time. Which gets annoying very fast. If you forget your password and try to reset it, it sends you a temporary password which is great, but when you go to create a new one it wants you to put in your old password insofar to make a new one. Which does you no good when the whole reason to make a new one was because you forgot your old one.
Lastly, on several occasions it has either not been able to find my client using their medicaid number or even find me. I got “user not active” for a week strait making me unable to login at all.
The current state of Sandata is atrocious and it should be illegal for companies to require the use of it for clocking in and out.
A few easy fixes that would make Sandata 5/5 stars;
1. Let Sandata keep you logged in during sessions.
2. Don’t sign the user out every time Sandata is out of focus.
3. Allow users to view recent clients and start visits from there rather than input client numbers every time.
There are many other things that could be improved but personally the points mentioned above would help tremendously with ease of use.
Can’t even take a screenshot unlike on the old app. When you do it just comes up as a black picture. Can’t even see past visits so if you forgot to log a day you would have no idea at what times. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken!
The location of the buttons consistently makes me click the wrong thing and I have to log back in again. Sandata freezes constantly and takes several minutes to log in and out for visits, forcing extra work for our team to have to adjust the times.
Been trying for an hour to sign in! Check for update still coming up with error message even after update! Worked fine yesterday but today unable to get pass sign in page! Please fix this asap so we can log into ap to clock in with our clients
So today i tried to log in. Nope, not working at all. I get a error message to try again. I use Sandata everyday 365 days a year. I reset my password, still a big NO! Being self employed marking in and out, seems very ODD. I’ve been self employed with the State for over 30 years. Looks like I was never self employed from day one. Oh my client is a family member, who lives in my home.
No matter how I try, or any of my sons care workers, we can not get Sandata to open ! I really don’t understand why Sandata isn’t working and there just doesn’t seem to be any fix for it either. Why would you make things so much more difficult for the disabled people ? Never had any problems with the old app like this. App creators need to do better
I was able to log into Sandata a total of once. Now I can’t even log in, it just gives a variety of error codes (which makes it impossible to track down the actual problem). Great to fight with when you’re on the clock with a client. Sure hope this gets fixed before the old app goes obsolete in July or it’s going to be a massive issue.
This is by far the worst system they have Sandata is always having issues like how am I supposed to start and stop my visits and the tech support team is never available they just need a whole new system the older app was way better
The interface is very troublesome especially because when you go out of Sandata it resets it back to the login screen, so you have to re-login each time. It also started infinitely loading today for no reason, and I could not start a visit until I reinstalled Sandata . I really hope I won’t have to do this every time there’s loading problems. Please fix these issues as we are required to use Sandata.
Sandata was suppose to be better than the last version, that’s false! About every time you sign in it kicks you back out, which hello we are on time limits when with clients. So to constantly keep signing back in is wasting more time than needs be. Also when you go to have client sign, it wants to kick you back out Sandata . Like this is literally all Sandata is good for, yeah for kicking you right back out Sandata . What a joke!!
I would give zero stars but you know!!
I was finally getting used to the other app with the long drawn out process of clocking in and out. Then I was informed to download and start using this supposed upgraded newer and faster version. Sandata took something drawn out and made it clunky and slower to use. The buttons are much harder to toggle and to enter tasks and info. is skittish and jumpy. This is not an upgrade. Why are we being made to switch to this very difficult to use app. Please fix this if you are going to discontinue the other one that at least works halfway decent.
Sandata is horrible and very generic. Also, an unreliable source for tracking. It neither properly record nor calculate hours including visitation history. Just hoping Sandata will become beneficial and effective in the near future. I only gave one star because it was mandatory.
Sandata is not ergonomic. All the confirmation icons at the bottom make if much hard for individual who have a hard time to use their hands. When I gave it to my patients to sign, a few of them trembled while signing and it force them to the Home Screen. Relocate the confirmation icons in the middle and large. Even I have accidentally exited Sandata while trying to log in. The problem is not “apple’s swipe to Home Screen function” but both things being too close and too sensitive. I have toyed around with other apps and they don’t go to Home Screen as sensitively as this this app app.
I can’t open Sandata for two days now. I updated to the latest version, turned my phone off/on, deleted Sandata and reinstalled and even changed my password. All it says when I go to try and log in is Error loading, please try again! And I’ve tried logging in repeatedly! Now I have to go to my home healthcare website and fill out a time error report since it looks like I’ve been at my clients house for over 2 days because I couldn’t log back in to end the visit or have the client be able to verify my time or sign off! This is very annoying and costing me wasted time and money! Please fix your app!!!
If I could give Sandata a zero I would. Sandata is extremely slow or freezes and closes on its own. It doesn’t always record my clock ins or clock outs showing I never clocked in or out or both. When I am asked for a screenshot of what its doing I can no longer provide it to my supervisor as that has been disabled in the settings and when I take a screenshot its now blank. Furthermore the gps is way off. The gps for Sandata is showing my location as being somewhere else when I’m with the scheduled individual. I am being requested to take a screenshot of my location from my personal gps/map every time I clock in and out because of the inaccuracy of this apps gps. Sandata needs a-lot of “bugs” worked out. I don’t recommend Sandata unless they fix the issues.
This is the THIRD weekend in a row that Sandata says there is an error and to try again later. How am I suppose to log my hours if I can't even get into Sandata for four shifts on just one day. The new system is 10x worse than the old one and that one was absolutely horrible so that says a lot.
I have one client whose schedule only shows up every other week but my supervisor has confirmed multiple times that it is in the system for every week. I also have issues with Sandata returning to login screen because if the location of the continue button at the bottom.
Signature option is not working, time lapse when using any of the functions/buttons there is a delay. This is not due to a network issue or connection issue on my end. I had ZERO issues with prior this app app.
If nothing else can active visits be on the loading page, it’s a small thing to ask, but having to go to the visits tab adds unnecessary tapping where most things could be addressed from one page. Also in the visits tab to look back at old visits, could the check in and check out time be posted versus having to tap on each individual visit to see what the times were? The x close button is annoyingly small.
