It’s all fine until you try to cancel

My husband and I opened accounts a few months ago. We enjoyed the gym for the duration in which we were members. We tried to cancel the membership because we are moving to a place with a free gym on site. In the process of cancelling, we were told both accounts were cancelled but we found out later that mine was left open. I only knew because I got an email warning me that I had a pending transaction from VASA, we called and they said that fee would be waived and we would be fine. A few days later, the fee was taken out and we had to use the *awful* online help service (because they hung up on us on the phone three times) and they said that we aren’t getting that money back even tho it wasn’t our fault and so we were charged, in all, $145 to close our accounts. Lack of communication, awful customer service. Not to mention, no sight of a refund for their error… but thank goodness they waived the $25 cancellation fee *the second time* we had to cancel. Just be warned that if you try to cancel they make you wait until they get their monthly and THEN you can cancel after paying for a month you can’t use. In all, we liked it when we were members, but it all goes to one star when you’re treated like garbage for just needing to cancel.

Ridiculously flawed app

I have downloaded VASAFitness and set up accounts for both myself and my husband. We normally share the same email but I had to set up separate emails for each of us. After downloading and setting up VASAFitness , the next time we attempted to log in to reserve an hour for work out per COVID, neither of us were able to access VASAFitness . After failed attempts we contacted support followed instructions which failed so we actually went to VASA and had a staff member help us to set up the apps once again. The very next time we attempted to enter VASAFitness it would not recognize emails/passwords. Contacted support and was given new registration keys for each of us. I entered, reset password then went to log in and again it would not recognize. I am sick of farting around with VASAFitness. If we get turned away because we haven’t reserved a time slot next time we go to VASA we will drop the membership.

Says I don’t have an account

I tried to login to the new app but it says that the email I’m using doesn’t have an account connected to it. I went back into the old app and sure enough under my account info there was the email address I was using to try to login to the new app. So do I have an account or no...?

This isn’t my first bad experience with VASA’s account system. Last year I was trying to figure out how to reactivate my account but there was no information on the website or app about how to do that. The system didn’t recognize that the email I was using already had an account attached to it so it ended up letting me make a second account with the EXACT SAME EMAIL. That also somehow reactivated my old account without letting me know, and I ended up getting charged twice the next month as a result. VASA please fix these problems, I’m sure I’m not the first person to have them. It makes you look very unprofessional.

Make it easier to look at class schedules across multiple gyms.

I am the type of person willing to drive a gym quite further than I live to find my group classes that fit my schedule. That means it would be excellent to see the class schedules of all the gyms on one page of classes within 25 miles or maybe up to 50 miles from me. But with the Vasa app as it is currently, I have to click on the menu button, click locations, click other gyms, then scroll through the many locations to find the next gym to look at their individual class schedule. I will have to do this 10 times because that’s how many gyms I have to sort through to find the class I want to take. Please update your app to make it easier to view the class schedules of multiple gyms. Thank you.

Nice look

When I first downloaded VASAFitness to my iPhone8 I was not able to login. I was a little worried, because I had already deleted the old app. It was night time, so I texted tech support using the number provided and went to bed. The following morning, I received a reply with instructions and an activation key. That did the trick! The new app has a good look and feel. I can’t wait to go to the gym and find out if it logs my workouts correctly and is still linked to my benefits program.

Update: I am able to track workouts with apps on my watch and phone, so there is no need to have that feature in the Vasa app.

Like the convenience of the check-in, but the location/class finder needs A LOT more upgrades

The check-in is super convenient, as well as looking at my plan/personal info. The part I find most annoying is the locations and class schedule. It’s not user friendly. There needs to be an option for using location to find gyms, I don’t care about seeing them in alphabetical order and getting ones for Colorado when I live in Utah. To me, the class schedule finder is not as user friendly as the old VASA app; there are not that many classes offered to really justify needing a “filter” option, and it just makes more work to find the classes in general.

Why is this so hard!

Update: I tried again now a few days later and it gave me an error that I have already registered....so it made me reset my password and then allowed me in. So I’m in...VASAFitness is great for using the barcode, can’t find much use beyond that though. If I could add the barcode to Apple Wallet and have the barcode show up on my lock screen when I get to the gym then that would be vawsome and worth 5 stars!

Old: Why is it so hard to make a decent app! I can’t even register!!! I have an activation key, I put in my email and a password and it just says there was an error. I really wish there was a different gym to go to. Vasa just can’t make a good app

Easy to use

VASAFitness is so easy to use! Within 5 minutes of logging in, I was able to clearly see what I needed... including my gym schedule, my barcode to get in, my account, details of my home location and hours, and also I was helped from Daria, she has great customer service. My email wasn’t working at first and I texted the “help” number and Daria helped me understand and made instructions clear so that I could log in. I appreciate this service, and I appreciate VASAFitness! Making the world easier thru apps! Yay!

Billing is a JOKE

I froze my VASA account back in September. At the beginning of January I was charged the monthly fee. When I called, I was informed it was because a freeze could only last 90 days, which I was never informed of. I was given zero notice that my 90 days was going to run out or that my account was going to be charged again. At this point I decided to cancel all together and was told I would still have a charge come out in February. It is completely ridiculous and I only see it as stealing money from customers, as I moved away and live nowhere close to a VASA gym. There should be no reason to charge me in January and February for a service I cannot even use. Completely unethical.

Gym locations difficult

VASAFitness seems to automatically make your home gym something else even though I accepted location services. When I go to other gyms, it seems to glitch when I click on the gym I want and opens some other location instead. This is annoying, we should be able to choose our home gym or change it easily. I also would like the calendar more if you could add free classes to it just so you could set up a schedule for yourself and get reminders. But no you can only add the ones you “book” which are premium classes. So unless you’re a premium member I guess, then VASAFitness is pretty useless.

New vasa member!

When I first got VASAFitness I was registered as a guest for some reason even tho I just got a membership. I reached out to get help but the first time didn’t work so I reached out again and I heard back within a few hours. The person who helped me through the text number for VASAFitness help was helpful and now it says I’m a member and which membership I have. The customer service is really good!

New App working

When I first tried to restart my Vasa app it could not find my email or my account. I contacted VASAFitness support team and after some texts back and forth we were able to get it up and running and I was signed in again. They responded quickly to get the problem solved, even though the issues were tough. Pleased with the great support!

Needs Work

VASAFitness is great for checking in BUT it’s a hassle to set up in the beginning. Also, REALLY needs to allow members to delete old payment methods. I updated my payment method but couldn’t remove the old one and have now received a late fee because they attempted to use the old payment method instead of the new. I’ll be extremely frustrated if that fee isn’t removed because I don’t feel as though it’s my fault that they tried to bill my old account. I’d gladly rate VASAFitness better if it allowed us to do things we should have access to do (IE: remove old billing accounts).

Great start

I am a fan of the prior app, only because it mirrored my iphone (multiple icons on home page). Look forward to seeing future iterations of VASAFitness. Thus far, it worked well to place a “support ticket” and the mobile app team was quite helpful. I will miss the ability to record our exercises. Hope that comes back! Otherwise, VASAFitness itself has a clean look and feel.

Customer service

Great and fast customer service! Had a hard time registering my account on VASAFitness . Kept saying my info wasn’t in their system though I know I have and pay for an account with them each month. I contacted their support team. They were helpful and quick to respond. They got me registered and back in VASAFitness ASAP.

Love the Support Team

I downloaded this newer version of VASAFitness because the previous one goes offline at the end of the month. I had major difficulties getting it to work with my account. I was put in touch with the Development Team and they were amazing. They replied quickly and worked with me to get my issue resolved. I have never seen such a dedicated support team!

Difficult to compare to the company’s last app.
It’s an ok app that is geared more towards upgrading membership, payments or child care instead of encouraging working out. My husbands app logs him out constantly. I haven’t had that issue luckily. Apple vs Droid I guess.
The “home screen” is to schedule appointments which don’t exist as an option and honestly should be updated to just being your barcode instead for easy check in.
Last app for classes was easy navigating in comparison.
MyZone would be a great addition along with a Rewards program again!

Too many bugs, not enough tech support

VASAFitness logs me out on a frequent basis. I use the exact same credentials to log in each time and VASAFitness is now telling me there is no account associated with my credentials even though I still pay for a membership and have my fee locked in. Their support line can’t take calls, it only takes texts. You have to wait several minutes before getting a reply. I’ve started to just have team members look me up at the front desk each time I go to the gym because VASAFitness is too much hassle. Not sure why they switched from the old one.

Location Stupid

VASAFitness does not let you look at the classes at all of the locations. When location services are on it will only show you your home gym and one alternate gym. The other gyms section want to have every gym close by so that you can look at their group schedules. VASAFitness is trying to be smart by using location services, but it does a poor job. The website also does not list every gym. I want to see the different classes at each location.

Almost Love It...

I love the look and feel of the new Vasa app. My only two complaints would be is I liked being able to see the “history” of when I checked into the gym. I don’t see that as an option on VASAFitness like it is on their old app. The other is when looking at the classes, I’d like to be able to click on it to see the details of the class and the location.

Can’t change home gym location

So I’m only giving 3 stars because I am unable to change my home gym location. I sent a message to Vasa and they gave me directions to look up my home gym and told me that they are unable to change it. The gym they have as my “home gym “ is the corporate offices in Orem Utah almost 300 miles away. I also wish there was more information about the classes. Like something about what they are. I don’t know what “silver sneakers” is. Is it for older people? Breathe? Drench? Are these yoga? swimming? What?

Not Fond of the Major Overhaul

Just downloaded the new app. Taking a few minutes to familiarize myself with it, I have to say that the previous version was better. Buttons were clear and easier to navigate. The overall look of the previous version was better, too. I’m not sure why it was decided to add tons of verbiage to the new app? Now, it looks and operates more like a website. And, what is the purpose of “My Calendar”, if I can’t add anything to it?

Things I will miss:
-Overall ease of use.
-Ability to record workouts without having to use another app.
-Goal Center notifications.
-Comprehensive view of weekly calendars.
-Ability to change my profile pic. (Not a huge deal, but it was a nice perk.)

Things I like about it:
-“My Account” now includes detailed info on “Plans” and “Billing”.
-Operating hours have been added.

I was not able to log into my account, unaware that VASAFitness had changed or was changing and I needed to have a new account activated. texted the support team and they replied very quickly and had my account activated within minutes. Made my morning so much better with that finally resolved! Thanks again!

Pass to member

I logged into VASAFitness before I became a member and once I signed up, it wouldn’t reflect my membership. Although it took a day for someone to respond to me, the issue was quickly resolved and they followed up with me that it was. VASAFitness is easy to you, and although I’m not a patient person, I’m glad they fixed it the moment they responded.

Great Customer Service

My app wouldn’t pull any information and I couldn’t figure out why, which was beyond annoying because I couldn’t even scan into the gym. I reached out to the help desk to see if they could fix this problem and wow! They were so quick and nice! They had me set up and working properly in a matter of minutes.

Staying logged in and keeping info

VASAFitness is great but for some reason whenever I log in it won’t keep my information like the schedule for my gym I have to always go into filters and change it to the the gym in my area and then whenever I close VASAFitness and open it back up I have to constantly retype my email and password to log in and it’s very frustrating so if there is an update that can fix it that would be great!

Good tech support

I had problems activating my account, so I called VASAs number to help me. They gave me a texting number to contact people that can help, and the issue was figured out right away. It was simple and user friendly. Once I was logged in VASAFitness seems very up to date and easy to navigate

Love the feel of the new app & customer service through text was great. Excited to see what features they role out because the last app had redeemable points for check-ins, workout tracking and other sweet features. I’m sure with time these features will be back.

5 Star Gym - App needs tweaks

Love VASA. It had been one fo my favorite gym experiences and they are priced just right.

As for VASAFitness , it’s an improvement over the old app; however, I would like to see reward points return.

I would also like to see the ability to add classes to the calendar. This could be a simple link that opens up iCal and adds it to your actual calendar, rather than having to sync the calendar within VASAFitness .

Keep the improvements coming.

Had some issues switching to the new app. Was able to log in but just had loading in all my information. Sent the support team a text and within a few minutes it was working correctly!

I was having issues getting VASAFitness to register to my current account, and after 5 minutes and some simple text messages, the problem was solved. I love all the new features VASAFitness has and I am excited to start using it!

Have been using VASAFitness for a month now. Works great. My corporate account had to be changed. I was unable to login. Technical support was able to get me set up and going in under three text messages. Awesome service!
