Do not waste your money!

I’ve given access to my photos and no matter what I do, I just get the spinning wheel and no photos load. And with no photos, you’d be correct if you’re thinking “Gosh, that makes Fotorama useless!” Don’t see any options for support, so this appears to be a waste of time, energy and money so far.

Like the previous review, I also used to love Fotorama and had it as my go to. I was fine as a weekly subscription as I used it a lot. Then I signed up for annual subscription. But, as of the most recent update, they made it so even if you have a subscription, you have to also buy gems!

This is bait and switch. And such a rip off. What a sad transition from being one of the best apps of its kind to almost one of the worst, the results are always hit and miss so you're going to waste a lot of gems on pics with multiple fingers or ridiculously crossed eyes. Sometimes it takes four tries or more to get what you typed in the generator. This was fine when you didn't have to buy additional gems to generate images.

I will be promptly cancelling my subscription, reporting this bait and switch tactic, and warning others about Fotorama. I may come back if they remove the (buying additional Gems feature for VIP) but honestly that's very unlikely due to their (very clearly) unethical business practices !

Fotorama gives you the impression that you can use casual photos to train their AI feature to recognize your face and create an image – – completely misleading. The application tells you as you’re preparing to download your casual photos that professional head shots would be best to submit. Why am I paying for Fotorama if I’m having professional head shots done???

In order to do absolutely anything inside of Fotorama, you need to pay for it without even seeing the quality of it first.

These photos made me look 20 years older than I am. Totally weird-I cancelled a few days in. Luckily I only bought a 1 week subscription.

The idea is great but results are terrible. It was good for a laugh but at the cost of the monthly subscription why would you use it.

Update: Customer SVC contacted me and said it costs $10 to train the AI and then it costs for every picture. Despite paying both and not getting even a single image, they said have a nice day! Run don’t walk away from this. It charged me $7 for a week subscription but then said I had no credits to get an image. I bought a pack and have had to train the AI 5 or 6 times now but it won’t generate a single image. Just loops me around and around and keeps demanding money saying I have no credits. -After the 2nd payment they show up in the top but when I try to get a photo it says there are no credits available. Have to dispute it with the credit card now. Ugh. Stay away!

It’s entertaining, but for actual professional use it’s a BAD idea rn. Once you get enough key words in that it actually kinda looks like you and not a caricature, it’s stil kinda off. Also, once you’ve uploaded your photos it doesn’t let you re-teach your AI with new / different photos. You have to delete your whole account and start over.

First in the advertisement they show us a person taking a picture and upload it to Fotorama and directly photos are being generated. Which not even close!! You need to upload 12 different pictures with specific criteria to be able to create a profile and generate AI pictures. (If I had 12 perfect pictures I wouldn’t even consider downloading Fotorama )

Second, the generated pictures are unrealistic and gives you the a big photoshop effect. You will look older or younger based on the age you put on your profile and not based on your actual pictures.

Fotorama was a total waste of time and money. It took too much time and wasted 7$ to receive a mediocre outcome.

The “retrain your model” is a joke. It only works in 2 or 3 try’s 1% percent of the time. You can spend hours even a day, trying to delete old photos and upload new one - that’s the retrain your model function and you’d have better luck finding a four leaf clover, than haven’t successfully deleted your old photos you used, and upload better ones to uss!

Used to be my go to app. Loved Fotorama. The devs were responsive, and Fotorama worked beautifully. I felt they deserved that yearly sub. Then OUT OF NOWHERE They changed it so that sub does nothing. Now you can pay hundreds of dollars to generate pictures. They also individually told me via email they would fix my problem and now they’ve stopped replying to me.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible. Will not be using this one. I am sure there are other apps that are amazing. This one is not even close. Don’t spend your money on this junk!

Unfortunately, you cannot use Fotorama without paying like seven dollars a month. There’s no way to know how good it is without out spending quite a bit of money.

This was a complete joke and waste of time. It really should be illegal for apps to mislead you and to sucker you in to purchase some thing that does not work. This is the equivalent of me just downloading a separate picture that looks nothing like myself. Sure this is great to use If you want to make yourself look completely different and have your generated photo to look nothing at all like you. But I thought the point was to have it look like you and to put you in different poses and scenes? Again awful.

After purchasing a year's subscription, I eagerly downloaded the pictures, which took quite some time. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when, after waiting for Fotorama to generate the final result, an error message popped up, stating, 'An unknown error occurred.' Despite multiple attempts and hours spent, the same issue persisted. I even went as far as deleting and reinstalling Fotorama , yet to no avail. Regrettably, I must express my disappointment and advise against using Fotorama. I am left hoping for a refund.

I paid for a year of this service and now it is charging me for each generation. More then half the time I don’t like any of the generated photos, that wasn’t a problem when I didn’t have to pay for each request. It’s a FRAUD- it should be illegal to do this.

I purchased the required weekly subscription of $6.99. Once I paid for Fotorama , I began to select the photos to upload. I did not get past the screen, I kept trying to upload my photos, but I kept getting the same response. Unknown error occurred. I close Fotorama out and tried uploading my photos multiple times, but I kept getting the same error. Needless to say I canceled my subscription and lost out on my money. Please be advised do not download Fotorama.

I purchased the “unlimited” package for $9.99, thinking it would allow me to create a headshot, but after starting Fotorama , I was prompted to buy more credits just to make a single headshot! This was not made clear at all before purchase, and I feel completely misled. For an app to claim something is “unlimited” and then demand more money for basic features is outrageous.

Be warned: you’ll need to buy additional credits to use more options, which costs even more money. I can’t believe they’re allowed to scam people like this. I’m incredibly displeased and would not recommend Fotorama to anyone.

Horrible horrible horrible App and Customer Support. The first red flag is they won’t let you try out Fotorama without making a payment. Are doing that, you need to upload 12 selfies which cannot have any other faces anywhere in it … I’m talking the face of a stranger that’s like a pin dot miles away in your selfie. Get over that hurdle and you get a pic that looks nothing like you. Finally, if you feel the generated pic doesn’t look anything like you and you want to upload other pics …. Hahaha… best of luck. There’s just no way. If you contact the support … BTW… the entry level payment is pay by the week… they take their sweet time to get back to you.. and their suggestion is…. Drumroll…. Delete your account and start all over. Which world do these folks live in? They’ll also promise you of an exciting new feature coming up… Retraining models without having to delete your account. Wow… who thought of that feature? Please don’t waste your time

After going through the process and uploading pictures you get to a point where it stalls and you can’t see your photos through AI generation. Very disappointed that it’s able to take your money so fast but not able to reproduce that and giving you the images that you’re looking for. I submitted a ticket and I’m anxiously awaiting to see a response from Fotorama creator.

I tried it with three selfies and it wouldn’t let me do different pictures. Horrible app, no way to contact customer service, predatory. Stay away from Fotorama. Once you’re locked in to a year, you can’t get your money back and Fotorama is junk.

I can’t add more pictures. I’m now using credits. Says I can use 15 photos, that’s a lie.

Apple should remove an app that doesn’t have Direct Customer Support.

I purchased this with the hope of creating some decent professional pictures to use for job networking. The model they created of/for me is completely unrecognizable and could NEVER be used for anything other than gimmicks. Fotorama makes you either much older/younger, heavier/lighter and there is no way to adjust the photos - for example “make me 10 pounds heavier/lighter” etc. and it add a mustache I cannot remove. Very disappointed with this unrealistic and un-customizable app - it is a true waste of money. No wonder they don’t allow you to sample the product - no one would ever come back.

First red flag is you must pay for a subscription before using anything in Fotorama . It’s $6.99 a week or pay a year in advance. I added my personal pictures over 2 days ago so I can start using the AI effects. App told me once I choose which personal pictures of mine to download, then it needs to “train my model” before I can begin with selecting which AI picture I want to use. I selected for Fotorama to notify me once the download was finished. It’s been two days & nothing, yet Fotorama says I have 0 minutes left in the download. Contacted support twice & no one has reached out yet regarding a resolution.

When you subscribed Fotorama , you still have to buy points for each picture you need to work on. And it’s expensive. I’m ok with subscription. But how can someone ask for subscription then still ask for more money by each picture to be processed ？And if you are not satisfied with the outcome,and asked for reprocessing on the same task and you have to pay again.

You can’t get a glimpse of what your AI pictures before paying…not even one sample (it’s all make sense later). So, you put in your payment info. Then you wait for about 15 mins to get pictures of yourself…kinda. It’s you but with “enhanced” features, e.g, cross-eyed, alien shaped (for updo hair), or the top of your head missing (think Lucy Liu in Kill Bill). So, you think “alright, let’s give you more training, AI” and try to upload more pictures, well…you can’t. So now I have the following options for my LinkIn profile: crosses-eyes or baby teeth or alien head.

So, why payment is required without preview? You would NEVER paid if you saw the results. It makes sense.

I will start out by saying I have never written a review for an app before but this one was warranted. This might be the worst app I’ve ever wasted money on. Not only did I spend hours trying to find the perfect photos, I laughed when I realized the images they gave me were supposed to be me! I take pride in my looks and not only did it look like someone completely different with the wrong face shape, nose and bigger lips, they added weight on me / gave a completely different body shape, gave totally different teeth and added wrinkles and frown lines that I make sure aren’t there in real life! Save your money and use it toward a real photographer because this is a joke!

It’s a total waste of time. Paid for the weekly but didn’t get any picture that am satisfied. Couldn’t get any straightforward button to stop subscription (in case they keep charging me). There’s only one obvious option to delete your account. I was not sure if I should do that so that they won’t keep charging me as by deleting the account means, I won’t have any more traces of me purchasing and it’s even harder for me to claim for a refund? 🥹lesson learned. I’d just get professional photo portraits just across the street instead of being lazy.

Do not spend your money on this. It forces you to buy a subscription before you can even demo, or test to see if it works. Spoiler Alert: it doesn’t. You upload at least 15 photos of yourself, and it says that the AI is “training”. It gave me an ETD of about 58 minutes. It literally took HOURS to count down to 0:00. It’s now been stuck on 0:00 for a couple hours. Nothings been generated. It still said AI is “training”, and I can’t even force exit to try and restart the process. I’ve submitted a support ticket, and am waiting on a response.

Fotorama interface is very simple, to the point that it’s almost frustrating because you’re paying $7 a week for something that doesn’t have many options at all.
you only get to create photos off of templates they already have pre installed, which is maybe 30/ 40 that’s it, and there is no changing them or depicting anything you want in the image. not to mention i think their AI use needs to be matured and tweaked, the headshots i got were all too uncanny valley for me. and i’ve used a LOT of AI apps, this is by far the one i’m least impressed with. you also can not go in and change the pictures you selected to train your AI model later, at least i can not find a tab to do so at this time. not with the subscription price at all.

Fotorama is not worth the money or your time. To create an AI photo, you have to upload at least 12 photos of yourself. Fine. But I kept getting errors such as "This picture is too similar to one previously uploaded." Yet, in one picture I was wearing glasses and had a beard, in the other I want wearing glasses and had no beard! How are they similar?!

I took over 50 photos with different facial expressions, poses, etc., and it only accepted 2 out of 50. This will take a TON of your time just to take the 12 necessary photos. Do not get Fotorama. I would even go so far as saying it should be removed from Fotorama store just for ripping people off.

I was willing to try the this app in spite of the fact it does not offer a free trial period. It said it could be cancelled, so I thought that mean I could try it, and if I didn’t like it, they would pro-rate the year’s subscription depending on how long I used it.

Well, I didn’t like it. In spite of the two wrinkles it placed between my eyebrows, that image was not of a 60 year old woman. My cheek bones were pumped, my eyes were green, instead of brown, I am not sure where the color of hair came from, and my face was elongated. It did not look like me, not even in my younger days.

I was greatly disappointed, and I cancelled. Well, guess what. It cancels FUTURE subscriptions, not the present one.

I was greatly disappointed with Fotorama. I may try again in the future when they show “realistic” pictures of people over the age of 50, also, and those people say it looks like them.

I uploaded quite a few pics that met the criteria and it said it would take 58 min to process. After about 35 min, it no longer showed the progress and nothing ever populated for me to choose from. So I have done 4 of the sample images and they were nothing usable. There is no way to rechoose photos to try and make better pics.

There needs to be a better UI with options and regeneration possibilities. I have messaged the apps help function and hopefully they can fix the issues I am having and maybe I’ll have a better second impression. I will update you if that ever happens.

First, it took 20 minutes to upload my 12 photos. Kept selecting photos according to the requirements and I kept getting an error message. Finally, I managed to upload the right photos and it told me it would be ready in ~30 minutes. After I waited 2 hours I revisit Fotorama to check and my photos are no longer there and Fotorama is asking me to upload photos. Unless the photos magically appear out of thin air in the next few hours, Fotorama is trash. Will ask for my money back.

I needed to write a review and warn people!! I am canceling after one hour in Fotorama. The photos are such low quality and not to mention the fave is blurry, the hands are melted, that’s right!! weird looking hands and fingers… and you have to pay more to generate your photos, not to mention that if you are trying to upload your selfies to train AI and Fotorama kicks you out, once you come back to it, your money is gone, it uses it for that!! Don’t waste your money, this is a piece of cr@p!!!

Don’t waste your time selecting photos if you’re trying Fotorama out for the first time. No free trial so you can’t even test Fotorama without a purchase. There are plenty other apps that do the same thing AND allow you to try it out before you buy.

When I want to unsubscribe I am told to submit the ticket. I submit a ticket. Still they didn't let me unsubscribe. I have been charged second time. If Fotorama is installed once.
Second time you can no longer unsubscribe. They will continuously deduct your money.

It doesn’t let me upload one picture only every two hours is frustrating

Yes, Fotorama is not free for even 1 photo… the quality is bad :( all the pictures are not even close to me/my face - trash… DO NOT PAY for this horror !!!

First it takes ages to creat one photo and when it does it has no resemblance to the real photo so you really cannot use it! The point is you can creat a professional photo that looks like you to be used at work or whatever profile you are looking for and you end up with a picture looking like someone else using an over exaggerated features like snap! Don’t waste your money.

this app's upfront payment and photo upload process turned into a frustrating ordeal. Despite capturing over 200 photos, only a handful met Fotorama 's stringent criteria. After enduring numerous attempts, I consistently faced an "unknown error occurred" message during the generation process. Fotorama is a waste of time and money, offering nothing but frustration and disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a reliable photo app.

forcing people to select man or woman in the beginning in order to use Fotorama gives a poor user experience for lots of people and limits the amount of people who want to try rest of Fotorama . Forcing tired ideologies that don’t serve everyone says a lot about the people who developed Fotorama and the people who will benefit from support of Fotorama . If it was an oversight they should fix it but knowing this had to pass through developers, ux/ui, marketing etc someone should have caught it so it seems intentional in today’s political climate. I don’t support apps that exclude entire groups of people.

Many tools have been added but the quality is not good at all. Just wanne make money instead of providing what they promised in advertising.

Save your money! Fotorama makes you take 4 selfies…but they have to be completely different selfies not in the same sitting/setting/clothes. Then you have to take another eight! This took me two hours because I’m not one to take selfies and every time I tried to upload them, it kept saying image to similar to the previous one. After i completed these steps and 30 minutes for it to generate I got 4 images of myself in a horrible ugly business suit and what’s worse it looked NOTHING like me… I mean, not even like my sister… Maybe a cousin or someone with similar features but it is definitely not you just enhanced. if you can’t even recognize yourself then it’s clearly crappy AI.

Doesn’t generate realistic headshots, you have to keep generating to get one decent one which leads me to my next point. What’s the point of paying for subscription and then have to buy credits to actually use the features? And each time you generate you have to use coins. Just really not worth it over all

I purchased Fotorama due to the unlimited AI generations. The new version does not allow unlimited generations of images. Also, the skin tone is off for many of the images and they are unusable. I am African-American in many of the generated images make my skin tone look very light.

I’m trying to cancel my subscription/plan before it renews and Fotorama won’t let me. When I click cancel or change subscription, it asks me why, then when I choose my reason it offers me a discount. When I click to skip the discount it just bring me back to the original page that asks me what my reason is for cancelling. There’s no way out of this cycle. The help center is just and FAQ page with no way of contacting the developer.

Fotorama was a paid ANNUAL subscription- meaning you pay for a service and you get 1 year of the service. I paid that. Then suddenly they update Fotorama to a pay as you go model with coins and the folks who had already paid for the year are not grandfathered in at all. Everyone automatically switches over to the VERY expensive pay as you go model. In my past membership days, I would need to generate 30 or so images to get 1 good shot that looked just like me. Sometimes more were needed but that’s an average. I was happy to do that because you could trial and error play with the model to see which prompts got you close. Now, however, I pay $1 for each attempt. No way! Outrageous price gauging.

I want to cancel and it only gives me a deal to continue and when I click skip to cancel it doesn't give me the option. Be careful, this is a scam, plus the photos are not of quality.

My photo quality has gotten worse and became unrealistic; there were 12 images allowed, but this has decreased to only 9 selfies, and the "retrain your model" charge has gone up. This is unacceptable!

I can’t now use Fotorama the new update is horrible

I recently signed up for the free trial of Fotorama and after trying it out, I decided to cancel within the deadline. However, the process of canceling was extremely difficult and frustrating. There was no option to cancel within Fotorama , so I had to email customer support and request for them to cancel my subscription. Even after explaining that I didn't need Fotorama anymore, they still asked for a reason . I emailed back and I said please cancel and was unsuccessful ,To my surprise, I was charged $6.99 for Fotorama today. It's important to be careful when trying out their trial because it seems impossible to cancel or get a hold of anyone for assistance to cancel

Then this would get 5/5 stars. Until August 24, 2024, this was my goto app for AI headshots. I loved it. I’m an annual subscriber. It actually got me a great avatar for my social media. The “Warhammer 40k Space Marine, holding banner saying [my character name]” was awesome, and highly detailed, so I started building a story with AI.

However, on the afternoon of August 24, 2024, I noticed it was generating black blank boxes for custom prompts. I thought it was a bug. After my custom prompts all came back blank I tried their default prompts. The starting prompt for “man in suit” was also coming up blank.

I reinstalled, retrained my model, and tried again. Still blanks. I noticed the turnaround for “results” was faster, so I tested hoping to get something. I ran out my daily cap of generations just trying to get one single picture.

So I’m rating this 1/5 stars until this is fixed. I’m currently at the $70 subscription tier. I feel like this went from being total fun to a total waste of money. AppNation, please fix this. When it’s fixed I’ll return to my 5/5 rating.

Version 2.4.1 photo generation quality was far better! There is excess hd filtering in the latest update.
For the first time, I’m disappointed in an app upgrade. I will look for other options.

I purchased Fotorama based on the reviews and it does not work! I tried canceling one hour after I purchased Fotorama and cannot get in touch with customer support!

You buy Fotorama and it does the bare minimum and wants to charge you $9.99 for other features you think you’ve already paid for.

Fotorama is a total data grabber, be careful using it. It worked good for a week then it suddenly stopped running. After it guided me to snapped 50 different photos of myself. Arabs even appeared in a few photos that was supposedly been me. I deleted out my phone and tried to reinstall it but I was unsuccessful. Currently unsubscribed.

Pay for this and the photos are blank when you try to save it. Fix the glitches! It’s stealing when you take money and they can’t even use the service

I thought Fotorama was great. I paid for a year subscription back in April. Now they are charging for subscriptions AND PER PHOTO!!! Depending on the type of photo, it costs 100 🔹+; gave subscribers 1000 free. Gee, thanks. Can’t even get money back for the year I paid in advance. This is absolutely criminal.

I just wanted to skip getting new headshots done for my new job. Only option was $40 billed annually, no trial. You “train your AI model”. I tried “training it” using photos of myself starting with recommended 12. Looked like me 10 years younger with someone else’s teeth and eyebrows and nose. Ok. So I tried “training it” with different photos, tried with a lot MORE photos. Every time it’s like they just added my eye color and general face shape to some other girl. Completed changed my hair length and curl shape and hair color. I wish I could add photos to this review to show you how laughable it was. Truly disappointed I wasted money and time and now still have to get new headshots.

Fotorama is a scam that tries to sign you up for a weekly $7 subscription before providing any meaningful output. It asks to upload 25 photos to build a model but in my new after multiple attempts it never finishes the upload or model building process.

I finally gave in and spent the $7 to try this and it was so bad I was literally fall-down laughing! 🤣 They literally used some other woman’s face in my photos that barely had the same characteristics I did. I mean…it was a completely different woman!! And the photos that actually were my face were so weirdly edited that it “kinda” looked like me but they inserted weird fake teeth and morphed my face so much it looked like a distant relative or something. In some they made me look fat. In others they made me look older. They were SO BAD! But what is the funniest thing was that in every photo that showed my arms and hands, there were extra limbs and fingers! 😂 And I had no fingernails! 🤣 You just can’t make this up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME but I will say it was worth the $7 to get such good laughs!

After two days of this awful app, not loading my pictures, it finally started producing results……. Now, if the results were supposed to be entertaining and funny, this would receive five stars. However, since I’m trying to use these photos for a professional Headshots, this gets a resounding one star. Of the Three professional photos I have had generated not only do I not look even remotely like any of them, I also look about 40 years older than what I really am. All of the photos that I submitted were clear frontal face shots, so there should’ve been no problem with recognizing my features.

1-There’s no trial, not even for one photo so you end up paying $6.99 immediately
2-You need 12 selfies at least to train the AI model, which DOES NOT do a good job. For example: I had a photo sitting in office with 15 fingers in my hands!
3-The AI models DO NOT look like you and you feel it’s someone else. Unless the photos are properly taken, with good lighting and good resolution, your AI model will create a weird version of you
4-As I used Fotorama to generate two photos of me but canceled the subscription and deleted my profile, I wish someone can refund me my money. I was scammed for $6.99 so be careful what you pay for!!!

Fotorama is a giant scam. Paid for pro version and none of my generated pictures look remotely like me. I tried to update my pictures only to find out I “needed to buy more credits” after only 2 attempts at generating images. Terrible quality business and bad money grab.

Too many fake reviews, don’t believe them. Fotorama doesn’t come close to the multitude of great AI photo generation apps out there, and it’s more expensive. I have it 25 pictures to train and all of the photos that it generated were unrealistic. It let’s you write your own photo descriptions but never follows your instructions.

If there is one thing you should be able to domwoth a new app, it would be to actually try Fotorama before deciding whether it is worth any money to the consumer.
Fotorama takes the foolish approach of making you upload portraits, set up an account, and once you’re finally through findong portraits to verify this thing actually does what it says it does, you NEED to purchase a week before being able to verify.
Instant delete of Fotorama, just a terrible and frustrating business model, that has the appearance of a scam!

Signed up for a week, submitted the photos, the time expired before the “training” was complete. Never had a chance to make a photo or use the program. Waste of money and customer service said no refund and to pay another week to give sufficient time for photo to be available to be created. I wasted my money on a scam product. Maybe others got it to work and got good results, I did not.

Not really a free trail!! False advertising!! All photos generated are deformed! advise that there is an issue with the generated photos, as they are displaying distortions or deformities. With multiple, more than one pair of hands and arms. Each photo has each hand with more than five fingers. The teeth, eyes,& lips are deformed as well! Some pictures will not even generate . I want my money back!!!!

Cons: takes a few minutes to generate, images generated sometimes have unnatural imperfections, such as fingers in strange places, so photos look manipulated, limited enhancements capabilities in Fotorama to edit or request changes to an image, lighting color and editing options still make photos looks fake. This has a ways to go still, not something I’d replace hiring a pro photog for any time soon.

I have dark brown hair. Every picture I uploaded has dark brown hair. Fotorama makes me a blonde and every single photo. I want my money back.

Update: I did reach out as I sent you an email directly told you what happened and received an email asking me what happened and I responded with the exact same information and I’ve never heard anything back. So please don’t send me emails asking me to not respond to my experience with Fotorama here, and to respond in an email when you don’t do anything. So not only did Fotorama not work well and I did not get refunded my money now you are sending me emails asking me to take down a review.

In order to train the AI, you need to select a minimum of 12 photos. They have to be certain types. Unless you are a narcissist and have a library of selfies, it will mean you need to take a sample to train the ai. Problem is, when you need to select said photos to train Fotorama , Fotorama cannot find any new photos. Deleted and reinstalled Fotorama - problem persists. Seems very amateur to have a bug like this.

Please don’t waste your money. I tried Fotorama thinking it would help me generate a professional image for my LinkedIn profile. The pictures generated look nothing like me. But the worst part is that the body and hands in the photos are horribly distorted. Imagine alien like 12 inch fingers…

I asked for a refund the SAME DAY of the purchase. They told me I have to cancel through Apple. I know how to cancel! But that’s not what I want. If I cancel through Apple, I’m stuck with Fotorama for a year and no refund. I want a refund! Essentially, they have stolen my money because I can’t use Fotorama.

For $40 a year you should be able to upload more than one ‘model’. Only being able to use for one person is a waste - it should be stated in the fine print that you can’t upload more than one ‘model’. Even after uploading 12 different pictures - they looked nothing like the actual person. You can’t even add more pictures after your first upload. Waste of money.

Do NOT use Fotorama, or give them a cent of your money. My wife and I both subscribed to Fotorama . When my wife clicked to take advantage of a special coupon, they double-billed her and refused to offer a refund. And NOW, they switched the original agreement by changing to a paid token system on top of what I already paid. In other words… I now have to pay more to use an app that I already paid for. This is, of course, completely illegal, but what are you going to do? The company is based in Istanbul, so you have very little chance of getting your money back, or filing a suit against them. So instead, I will make it my mission to make sure they receive as little money as possible.

I was excited to see lots of new options and backgrounds from the previous version. Previously, I got a few very odd images (two heads, a missing hand, a few people that looked nothing like me, etc…) but, in general, the images definitely could pass as real. However, the new version of me that’s generated in every attempt I’ve made so far has the same color hair—but that’s about the only similarity. Not sure how the algorithm to generate the image from the shared photos changed, but there’s no way I could use one of the new images as a professional photo. At best, they might be able to pass for a third cousin.

I bought a week package and an extra gem package…total in 25 bucks. 4 - ai generated images and it tells me I have reached my daily limit. What kind of cr@&p is that? It takes more than 3 just to figure out how to use it. You won’t be getting any more money from me!

I did the whole “training” thing that took like 30 min. Selected a realistic image I’d like to be similar to and then wha it created was a joke. Looked absolutely nothing like me. I think the plan is to get 1 month fee from a ton of people and then who cares? Apple Store Pirates. Terrible product. May as well ask for a photo and don’t even bother with uploading your pics. Apple should filter apps like these out, they’re predatory.

I downloaded Fotorama, I was excited to start uploading right away so I paid the $6.99 for the trial. I began to upload pics and it wasn’t allowing me, it kept saying it was loading. It also recognizes if the photo is low quality or it can’t recognize a face and will give a small red i icon but this issue was separate. Eventually the just crashed and I had to start over from the beginning. Okay, annoying but no problem I’ll just try again. Same thing, crash. I restart my phone and try again. Crash. I delete and redownload Fotorama . Crash. Don’t buy, waste of your time and money!

I rated Fotorama 1-star not because I do not like how it works or I think it’s bad, but because i was asked to rate it the first thing after opening it for the first time.

I haven’t had a chance to use it yet so I don’t know if I like it or not. I’m just really over being asked to rate something before actually even being able to use it.

If I remember, and that’s a big if, I may come back to this review and update it after I have actually used Fotorama . Please let this 1-star inspire you to set your requests for ratings to appear after somebody has actually had a chance to use your app. Thanks.

Glad I didn’t pay for the annual subscription and only paid $6.99. Still $6.99 for an app that produces photos that look NOTHING like you, Fotorama doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

I understand the need to charge because training models is expensive but please make sure that the models are actually working and generating photos that look like the data it is being fed.

I came here to generate quick headshots but was very disappointed in the results.

This used to be an amazing app, but the designers have recently modified it with several anti-customer modifications. I purchased Fotorama because it was advertised as unlimited use for one annual price. Now they’ve pulled a bait-and-switch and are using a coin system for limited use and in-app purchases for what used to be free. At nearly the same time, they went from generating 4 results each time to sometimes 1 or 2. Really a shame to screw your customers like that. I’m out.

I wish I could attach the pictures of just how comical and bad this “AI generator” app is! I’m a former pageant queen and model and just wanted to see if I could get a picture generated in a business suit. I fell on the floor laughing! Not only did I look like I had a broken neck and 14 dimples on my cheeks and two very different sized eyes, I was put into a man’s suit with a clip on tie in one picture, given a mullet in another, and my head on a woman’s body that was clearly twice my size. My forehead had waves on each side as if it was one of those “put your head in the cardboard cutout at a carnival” look. Do NOT waste your money! Plenty of better apps out there I’m sure…but I won’t try one. Mad I gave the inputted 12 good pictures of myself that I hope aren’t now stolen for stock images!

Terrible! I uploaded plenty of good pictures that the other Ai apps are able to use and Fotorama was not able to get one picture to look like me. Then I used the feature to replicate a picture they have and the pose location etc was nothing like it. Clearly a miss! Don’t waste your time or money on this one!

I’m highly disappointed. I saw the two minute offer and decided to take a chance and bought the annual fee of $20. My ai photos just finished and they look nothing like me. It totally butchered my face to look like a total different person. So very disappointed. I would not recommend

The generated image results are far from how Fotorama has been marketed. There is no way to retrain the model. I deleted all the generated results Hoping to retrain and try more results. All that the support team replied in one liner asking to retry!!

I have applied for refund for the trial I paid I have to still wait and see what happens.

I was not happy with any of the AI generated photos. So many made me look ten years older with more wrinkles than I have currently at 50. It made me look 60 and some photos were not even close in the facial features and made me loo like someone else. Very unhappy.

Every time I used Fotorama it took 25 minutes to process. Fotorama never produced a single picture. I tried multiple times and it didn’t produce a single picture. Don’t waste your money. Fotorama is trash.

I uploaded tons of pictures of me following the guidelines they set for upload quality and the pictures Fotorama created were unusable. I looked deformed and most of them didn’t even resemble me.

I guess I have a good idea how I’m going to look like in my 60s on some of the photos but it would of been nice to get at least 1 photo that I can use . $10 flushed down the toilet

This is such a bad app. I bought Fotorama to get professional pictures done. Its so photoshopped and 99% of the pictures don’t even look like me. I thought the last app was bad but this is the worse. Just cause an app is created does not mean is good. At least don't charge so much while you make it better.

Has a surprise paywall that only appears after you’ve uploaded your photos. Not very nice of you all 😔

Fotorama is so buggy. So many errors. And when the requirement for uploads is met perfectly, it gives an arbitrary error. Meanwhile, it tries to scam you into a limited time discount before you even realize that Fotorama is heavily broken. I don’t recommend Fotorama at all. I’d give zero stars if possible.

App does NOT work yet I was overcharged for a trial. Instead of making it right this company is trying everything they can to keep my money. After waiting two days for the AI to show me results I give up I’m done. One star— literally don’t waste your hard earned money on this

I cannot recommend Fotorama. Limited options for photos and when I tried to create a new one, it always errored out. I canceled the free trial four days in and they charged my card 2 days later! What a scam. I reported to Apple.

I signed up, paid the money and now almost a week later my “model is still being trained”. I sent a message and received nothing back. I would think I didn’t even exist if they hadn’t taken my money. I will be disputing the charge through my credit card company. Good thing there were other options that actually did what they said so that I could get my headshot done for my new job. Go somewhere else. This one is a scam.

This was the biggest waste of money and time, but I did get a really good laugh out of it! I am 43 and these have me looking like an extra on the Golden Girls. I thought about lying about my age, but there is no way for me to go back and re-enter my age. On the bright side, as a professional headshot photographer, I am officially no longer worried about AI taking my job! Hahahahahahaha

It makes me feel like it’s acting like all Black people look alike because I distinctly do not look like the pictures that they’re populating and they even showed me a white person and one picture. I just want my money back at this point.

First round had me looking twenty years older for some pictures and not like me at all for the others. Second round the pictures didn’t look like me at all, and neither my skin tone. Hands were duplicated and disfigured on some photos. I am very displeased and want a refund.

It took about an hour for the AI to train for my looks…and generated 10 pics of someone else. It doesn’t look like me at all - not even like a ‘sibling resemblance’. I tried to find where I can re-upload new pics of me but there is no option - it isn’t available! Too bad I was really looking forward to the outcome.

Fotorama does nothing that you expect. The photos it generated are not accessible and you can’t choose. It stalls and produces no generated photos. It just pulls up a bunch of weird photos with some slight resemblance of you on an old lady’s body. Lol. Meanwhile, all the many photos you uploaded are gone! To be incorporated into the AI world!!

Installed it and it just says error. Sounds like a scam to get you to subscribe and track your phone. I see a rating but nothing you can read to see other people that have tried it.

This is a subscription based app for $9.99 and the AI photos it generated look nothing like me. There was some similarities in bone structure but the end result was an entirely different person. Once you submit your photos Fotorama will not allow you to submit a different set of photos to try again. $9.99 for a terrible rendering!

It says in app purchases but basically you can’t even try it unless you pay $9.99. It is very deceptive to say “in app purchases” when the free version doe’s literally nothing. What a waste of time and shame on Apple for allowing them to deceptively market.

This is not user friendly, and generates pictures that could not be further from what I look like! It’s ridiculous, don’t waste your time and money. I’m trying to get my money back!

Not only do you have to pay either weekly or yearly, you also get a small amount of credits on top of already paying the subscription price.

Fotorama does not do what it claims. Initially believed I signed up for the free app and a trial. Fotorama would not open at first. Once it did, it asks you to upload 15+ photos. Photos are uploaded from photo library. I did that. It generated 5 photos with no way to upload any more. Buyer beware. Had to select 1 star★to post review. It deserves zero stars. Disappointing.

I submitted 15 good photos that show me smiling and looking serious, basically followed the instructions and my AI photos look nothing like me. Not at all. Also when I clicked on this through an ad it was to help me create a business headshot and some of the returned photos are of in bikinis and stuff. Very weird. I’ve used other photo generating AI apps that are way better.

Earlier reviews stated that I could see what this was going to look like with watermarks over the results. Not the case when I did it if there’s a way to get this thing to show me what it would do before paying, I sure didn’t find it. Sorry, I’m not gonna give you 40 bucks without seeing what the products gonna look like.

You’re a woman who wants a professional AI-generated headshot? Don’t bother, it will generate nothing but photos showing plenty of cleavage no matter how specific you are about modesty in the prompt.

This is the first purchase ever! You pay yearly out monthly fees for this then you have a set number of tokens to use towards your photos! If you run out of tokens then you have to buy new ones so it does not matter if your subscription is still going on it will be useless!!! Besides it takes forever to download the photos and quality is not that good either!! Big scam

This is such a disappointment. It cost $40 and I can never use it. The pictures do not come out even remotely looking like me. They are absolutely ridiculous looking and very fake. On top of that, you only have one chance to upload photos and you cannot retake or submit any other photos to improve the AI output. Do not waste your money like I did! I knew I should have read the reviews first, but I didn’t and I ended up paying $40 for trash.

After paying $40 to give Fotorama a try, I am happy to announce that the generated pictures do not look like me at all. I gave Fotorama about 20 pictures following the guideline but the result is very disappointing. As far as I know, there doesn’t seem to be a way to upload more/different pictures to re-train the AI. The photos look nothing like me, I uploaded professional photos taken by a photographer at our wedding, as well as a Christmas party. Pictures were clear,face was not obstructed, taken straight on. The photos that I got back look nothing like me and I couldn’t even tell they were supposed to be me. Fotorama also kept crashing. You are not able to delete and re-try.

Fotorama doesn’t do what it says. It is the biggest scam and it’s pure false advertising. Doesn’t make the headshots. The pictures are distorted it, the images are just plain ugly and the person you are doing those pictures for cannot even recognize themselves. It totally changes your face features, your body and give you the most awkward pictures. Example: Kids with muscles and in bikinis, or instead of a girl, the picture is of a man. I wanted to get my money back for it, requested a refund, it was denied with no explanation. Then a disputed this claim/refund and again, it was denied. I talk to Apple over chat, they person helping me transfer me to a phone call because she saw the horrible pictures but when I talk to the person on the phone, she couldn’t help me either because I had done the dispute already and that was “their final answer” so they couldn’t even see what they did or couldn’t find any explanation. It is the worst app and worst explanation I’ve ever heard and seen. It doesn’t even deserve a star and Fotorama developers really should be ashamed of that poor developed app. They might not even read my comment but I wish they did and refunded my money and other peoples money back.

Paid for a premium subscription in June. Used Fotorama freely for a few months. Great technology and very accurate pictures. However recently they changed that you have to purchase “gems” in order to generate photos. Thus is not done kids game. I was hoping this would help with my profession and a more professional app. This gem thing needs to go immediately! If they don’t take off the “gems” they owe all premium users a refund! The premium subscription is costly enough.

This was…I don’t even have words. It literally generated some pictures that look absolutely nothing like me, and others that made me look 80 years old. I’m assuming it saw my grey streaked hair and decided I must be much older than I am, so it gave me a ton of wrinkles. Like I’m not joking. It made me look at least 20 years older than I actually am. Super disappointed that I paid for this. They should let you test it out before having to purchase anything.

Thought this would let me get photos with decent backgrounds. The AI generator instead makes a model that maybe has your hair and eye color and similar facial features (though similar is a big stretch). First there is no free trial so once you buy it, you’re just OUT. You have to upload 20 pictures of yourself which is fine but I didn’t know that once I selected the 20 pics I wouldn’t be able to change them. So I was not super selective, assuming when I had time I could pick better one. Only one photo really resembles me and the others look like my face is just photoshopped on another person. Waste of $40. Don’t do it.

Seriously laughing hysterically but in 3 sets with over 45 different pictures uploaded, they are not even close. I feel like the couple that I could slightly see myself in were my eyes, nose, & mouth photo shopped onto pictures from the internet. Several with very distorted hands and facial features. As a curvy white woman, the thin African American woman on a beach in a bikini is quite curious. She is stunning, but obviously not me. Neither are any of these old ladies. Is hot granny tinder photo an entire AI genre that I didn’t know existed?

I’m in the process of trying to get a refund. I tried dozen times to upload photos. I reinstalled app, made sure privacy was full access to photos, tried a variety of photos. It won’t let you upload less than 15 in one sitting so I couldn’t even try one photo at a time to see what photo was the issue. I contacted support who only told me to reinstall, no help.
I feel scammed.

Fotorama has you upload 15 images, and you can’t add or change them once submitted. No option to rotate your own images so it can build more learning. Only has a limited number of options to choose from for “headshots” and the results are not very good at all. Still has a long way to go and there are much better apps available for AI photo editing. This is a very limited app in its ability. Save your money and spend it elsewhere.

This is the worst app I’ve payed for in my existence. I downloaded it didn’t work sent messages was asked to delete and reload which I did and when it finally worked the pics were horrible. I wish I could post them here. App stuck at 0.0 seconds for 5 days after saying it should take around an hour. After paying $6.99 for the week support finally got back to me and said to uninstall and reinstall Fotorama . The problem was my $6.99 week had already expired by then. Fine if the 15 pictures I uploaded had errors, but Fotorama never said that, nor did it allow me to try it again while the first 15 pictures were still “processing”.

You should not get Fotorama every single time I use it it makes you have to do this silly thing I have to do like this train your earth, whatever photo, and every single time you do, it makes you upload like 40 of them! And every single time I use it it always makes you pay 30 $40 for a year every year $39 is what it tells me it’s over 40. It’s just takes so much money out before nine 4099 but instead it’s 5699. I definitely recommend not getting this.

Doesn’t let you change/adjust the photos you upload to help AI get your actual features. The photos end up looking weird and heads don’t fit bodies. It added features I don’t have and emphasized them - putting huge lines in my face.

I couldn’t find where I could change the type of photos I wanted like “business headshot” or “yearbook”. It shows that on Fotorama description but it isn’t a feature you can select.

2. 15 photos required to be uploaded. You get a batch of photos that looks nothing like you. They pull “similar” looking people to you to create your pictures and no. They don’t look similar to you.
3. You do not get another chance to regenerate photos for a potential better outcome. Once you submit the 15 photos. You’re stuck with the horrible photos of people that does not look like you.
4. They take your personal data for their use
5. They do a horrible job of informing customers how Fotorama truly works

It does do what it says it does, however a majority of the outputs are usually a miss, once in a while you will get a realistic picture of yourself. However, the amount of microtransactions Fotorama has is INSANE. Do not bother buying the VIP or full access mode, you still have to buy individual “gems” in order to generate photos. It is not really worth the amount of money you would like to spend. Of course the developer will reply “oh so sorry to hear that but thank you for your input” but they really don’t care. It is a greedy app that will leave you with much more to desire. If they simply changed this to a subscription only app with no gems it would be so much better, but since Fotorama is strictly a money grab, I would find a better program. In fact, get stable diffusion and train your own model and make it yourself. Sure it takes more knowledge to do that but it’s completely free. Skip Fotorama.

Omg this is the worst app ever, but is still worth the $40 for pure entertainment value. It gave me claw hands in some, both my daughter and I had multiple pictures with 3 arms, one had an arm growing from the top of my head. A couple pictures it looked like it used leg images for my arms because they are twice as long as the should be. Worth every penny 😂😂😂😂

The tech here is impressive.. but some photos came out as morphed human bodies and some just did not look like me at all maybe a distant relative but nothing usable
The marketing for Fotorama pitches it as “useful for professional profiles or social profiles” and I would never use most of these because it would be misrepresenting who I am(?)

In my ignorance and naivety I purchased the one year subscription, falling for the advertising and displayed images. The images I received look nothing like me, totally and completely unusable for the business shots which I am needing. I also sent all of the photos to friends and family and asked if they knew this person; only one in eight thought one photo may be me. The other seven saw no resemblance. My suggestion is to purchase the one-week subscription to validate the quality. I gave two stars as I now have great Halloween decorations.

You gotta pay for coins even when subscribed. And it’s very expensive, especially since the quality is really just mediocre.

I saw an ad for Fotorama and it promised realistic headshots. Being in need of a new professional photo, I thought, “Perfect! For $7, I can be lazy and not actually have to take a photo.” Naive optimism bit me hard. The photos Fotorama generates look nothing like the photos I provided to train the model, thus nothing like me (or any human being for that matter). My head look positively alien, and I have a chin dimple that doesn’t exist irl. My brown eyes are magically green. Additionally, the renderings look 100% artificial. There’s zero chance someone looks at one of these and thinks it’s a real photo. Zero. Save your $7 and your time.

First it only lets you do headshots for yourself and there are literally no options to change anything or correct stuff. Then it made my wife look really old and like she has a meth habit. It made me look 200 lbs heavier and gave me Down’s syndrome with crossed eyes and misshapen features. And the. For the crowning screwup… it spit out an unsolicited nude of my wife covered in breast and nipple tattoos. It was nuts. Fotorama is so simplified that it is awful and makes terrible results. Avoid.

Suddenly Fotorama started charging credits even though I have a pro subscription. This was a sneaky move on their part. No notice at all. What does it even mean to have a pro subscription if you now have to pay for each foto. Seems like a violation of the original agreement since it happens while my pro subscription was still active.

Two major issues. First, the photos from the stock models are used from hundreds of professional photos…voila(!) a professional (AI generated) headshot! Users need to use well over the required minimum dozen photos for Fotorama .

Second, once you load your photos to let AI begin generating headshots, your account is locked. You cannot add or subtract photos from your first group of photos. You literally have to delete your account and create a new profile to load more/different pictures. My advice is to load hundreds of photos before AI locks your library. This is a huge flaw in Fotorama and absolutely not worth the annual fee.

TL/DR, I used a dozen fotos as directed and my headshots are terrifyingly awful.

Fotorama was great & I loved using it!!! However, from 1 day to the next, they are trying to make you buy gems EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY HAD A PRO account which doesn’t seem fair to me!!! I already paid & you need to honor this at least until my subscription expires. You didn’t even notify me of the change which makes it even worse!!! EXTREMELY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS

All of my pics make me look like an old lady. You need more options and opportunities for pictures.

All the photos have me 15 years younger and 50 pounds lighter. Only a few look good but my friends and family agree they don’t actually look like me and are creepy. Some are pretty but I found anything that was even close to looking like me had some strange thing in the photo like totally distorted hands or even a wire coming out of an eyeball!

Personally, I don’t recommend Fotorama. I wasn’t satisfied with the quality, so I canceled my subscription through Fotorama . However, I was only asked for the reason for cancellation and couldn’t cancel directly. As a result, I had to request a refund through the Apple App myself. Even when I emailed them, I received robotic replies and no real assistance. Very poor customer support. If you’re looking for a similar app, “ProShots” is much better.

This ai is capable of making a convincing and nice photo of a human but not you. No matter what photos I submitted to “train” it and I tried a lot and I followed the rules, it still looks like a person who sometimes resembles you. Most of them look like I have a hotter sister. Some of them have 6 fingers and 2 heads. But most just look like pretty women who aren’t me.

Fotorama generated well over 2 dozen photos (you have to request more after the original set, no cost while your paid access is still current) but only 1 photo even remotely looked like me. Fotorama seems to have issues with teeth, jaw line, and noses. It did a pretty good job with my eyes in a lot of photos, but eyes matching and nothing else means the photos still don’t look like me. The body types are also ridiculous, I am not a fitness model and wouldn’t want to portray myself as one, totally unrealistic and not what I view as my healthy, well balanced body type. Cool technology for a couple of bucks but it has a long way to go before it delivers as advertised.

Moving through Fotorama (uploading pictures, given yes/no on the quality and diversity) was good. I wish there was a way that the yes/no would update if you deleted earlier approved photos (if it was flagged for “too similar”) instead of having to delete all then choose an order if you liked a particular one more. It was also nice that you weren’t limited to a certain amount of photos processed, so you could try one “sample” photo multiple times for different results.

That being said, the results themselves were nice, but not me. My face was made taller, I was given a nose bridge, different lip shape, and double eyelid surgery. There were so many changes it almost changed my ethnicity. The results didn’t even look like the same person, even amongst the results.

I took another set of 12 selfies during the same day, thinking the results came from using a variety of photos (across many months/years, because who has 12 photos of themselves on their phone?), and still received a variety of people. More similar to each other, but still different. And different than me.

I must have uploaded at least 40 pics of myself to “train” the AI but it was only able to generate 5 pics. The images were okay but I want to see more iterations.

Fotorama shows no indication of being able to generate more images than the original set it created. I hope the developers can add the functionality to add more AI generated images soon because $10 for 5 images is not worth it!

The AI just isn’t there yet. It should be advertised as “entertainment only”… there’s no way any of these could be used as a headshot. This is a fun app to play around with - and see photos that kinda sort of maybe look like me - and have two arms on the same side of her body. Not worth $40. I’d like my money back.

I subscribed to test out the pro features but you still have to buy in-app coins/credits to use other features (like retrain the facial model with better pics etc. ) so there seems to be no point in subscribing if you are still not getting the full features. I unsubscribed and deleted Fotorama . I would give this one a skip in favour of an alternative. Good attempt though from the creators

I think it’s a pain member, it’s not really nice that I have to wait 150 hours to use app again just because I did the initial test of Fotorama where it made 60 pictures of me

2 stars is generous, because Fotorama was fun to try. The photos looked nothing like me. After a first try I deleted the proposals and was going to try again, but Fotorama got stuck spinning. I reset my phone and Fotorama doesn’t work at all. Deleting a few hours after purchase.

I had great expectations for Fotorama, however none of the photos rendered are of any use, they all have deformed hands and fingers and two watches in almost every single photo.

Tried several times…. It has you upload as many as 25 photos but at least 12, and the system is very picky too. You wait a while to have it generate your model then use scripts to create your new photos. Neither of my versions (i tried it twice) were anywhere close to me. Canceled the weekly subscription.

It's not worth the annual cost. You get one chance to upload your pictures to train the AI and then you're stuck with it. The options you have for generating pictures is limited and the AI rarely gives you a result similar to the photo you asked for.

It’s just ok. Takes many attempts. I cut my hair and attempted to retain the model but non of my recent photos are showing in recent. It has full access to my photos. I’ve resaved them in other folders and tried screenshots as well as deleting my profile and Fotorama . Still only some of my photos show up and the filtering seems random. For instance, selfies don’t show but screenshots of websites do….

I am trying to see how to replace my original photos, after uploading 3 of them it was a test, I paid for pro, I can’t see were I can upload more or replace them.

Would be great to be able to add to the original set of pics being utilized to enable the AI to develop changes with different looks

There is so much potential behind these apps… it’s pretty crazy! Fotorama is one that you have to weed through (like most others) to find something decent. A few pros- gave me a great headshot for work where I didn’t have to get dressed up. Lots of fun for my guy and I to look at. Certainly entertaining. Cost effective if you want to receive a handful. Room for improvement- often times the raw image is better than the edit, but the raw won’t download. The edit take away my body jewelry (ear and nose rings). The teeth in both the raw and edited are gnarly. Takes a while to get the images and requires a lot of restarting Fotorama .

The program is still buggy, but I was enjoying playing with it and got some great pics from it that were creative and imaginative and better than mid journey. However when it asked for age, it continually made my pics look much older than those I uploaded. They updated Fotorama and I decided to retrain my model. It took images it didn’t take before and ignored images it took before, and it seemed arbitrary and not to like scanned photos. The result was a model that looked more like me in some ways, but suddenly all the dynamic qualities I liked about it previously that made it a creative fun outlet are relegated to lame selfies with subdued backgrounds, expressions, and overall appeal… at which point… take a selfie. I tried to submit a complaint, and Fotorama would not let me. It should have given a chance to revert or at least have a 48 hour window to train the avatar till it got it right. The new format does handle anatomy better but the results are less dynamic than they were before. I loved playing with Fotorama, and it added a lot of neat new features, but seriously sacrificed the quality that was there just a couple days ago and I’m very disappointed. But since I couldn’t submit to the developers, I’m leaving a review. I paid for the pro account and now am sad I got bait and switched.

I retrained the AI, but the photos were so inaccurate. Wanted to retrain again, but the option disappeared. No word from support. Basically I have images of some guy that resembles me, but is a completely different person.

As AI apps go this one does a better job at merging the face and offering realistic aging imagery. However in the different poses it offers the image might just end up with 1 or 2 additional hands or fingers, or sometimes fingers are missing. lol! The process for imaging is not real time-every setup takes 30 minutes and requires a minimum of 12 photos of the person and it is major picky about the images quality. On a positive note, Fotorama offers more variety of poses and backgrounds that are much more natural. Plan for your fun AI images to take hours to produce but the quality will be nice. UPDATE: Despite the high cost for Fotorama
you are prevented from changing out the photos used to create an AI image so you are unable to have any fun with your family. AND similar to the additional fingers and hands, the legs might be twisted masses or the arms might appear bent in the wrong direction. Lots of glitches.

The photos are breath taking but if you pay close attention you will notice there are are extra hands or too many fingers . The face are perfect but look at the body shot! One picture had an arm coming out of the wall which was kind of freaky looking! But the headshots are perfect. Whom ever is the developer please take note and fix this!

None of the generated pictures looks like the person and Fotorama is not as user friendly

Fotorama does have some that could pass as me. If you do have one that is generated and does not, you can always run the generator again on the type of photo you selected and a new one will appear. It might be better or can be regenerated multiple times as each one is slightly different. This gave me hours of entertainment and laughter at times. You do want to upload 12 original headshots of yourself that you are happy with is my main suggestion.

I notice that for Men the AI does an okay job on most of the face but keeps to much of the original models features. Specifically the male models chin dimple does not change. I also think it would be nice to change profile attributes without needing to delete the current profile and starting again. I notice that when I put my current age in the AI gave me more gray hair and wrinkles than I actually have. Also adding the dad bod is totally not accurate. When I changed the age it seemed to clear up those issues but keeping the models chin stayed an issue. I am hoping this can be fixed in a future update

Hi i only purchased Fotorama because the comercial said u can have your favorite celebrity added. I did not see how to do that while i was co creating with my Alpha Intellegence friend & u guys take great pictures that look and are so authentic thoughout time & space. Thanks so i like that too. I was reviewing my pics for the first time and didn’t realize, once I swipe it deleted the pic. I wasted 45 coins the first time

Rough start finding enough pictures to start. Had to go through over 70 pictures for various reasons before finding 12 that would work.
Initial photos generated looked a little cartoonish and not to good.
But several tries delivered fairly good results. I was able to build 10 or so photos that were really good.
Worth the time

Can you please add features where I can add my wife and kids this is a very important feature. I cannot believe you don’t have it? I’ve been trying to find it. I couldn’t find it.

So at first it didn’t work and looked nothing like me but i retrained my Ai to learn my face then the results were great I managed to trick people to thinking I actually took those photos. Do i recommend for dating profiles? yes if you don’t take enough pictures of your self.

I think it would be 5 stars if I could delete multiple photos at once. It takes it a while for the AI to fully get it right, so deleting hundreds one by one is really tedious.

Fotorama would be perfect if it had a filter feature that included background options, day/night time, attire/outfit style(such as suit, casual, street, brunch, etc)

Would love to see different options other than what’s all ready there I do like the ones that are there - just needs variety

Definitely depends on quality of photo submitted and details in your prompt but very impressive. Still refining my photos. Customer service was very responsive to a glitch!

Please need change new picture

I used to love Fotorama and had it as my go to, I was fine was a subscription as I used it a lot, however as of recent they made it so even if you have a subscription, you have to also buy gems. Such a rip off and a sad transition from being one of the best apps of its kind to almost one of the worst, the results are always hit and miss and you can get what you put in after a few generations, this was fine when you didn’t have to buy additional gems to generate images. Fortunately I have coded my own software that can do what Fotorama does and will be promptly cancelling my subscription and warning others about Fotorama. I may come back if they remove the (buying additional Gems feature for VIP) but honestly that’s very unlikely.

I’ve been enjoying Fotorama for over two months and it does a great job and is a lot of fun. The photos are high quality and each unique and original. It works best when inputted with high quality professional images. I really like Fotorama!

Fotorama works well if you are looking for a LinkedIn headshot. Takes a little bit of time but worth to spend some time for good results

I’ve tried several AI photo apps and this is by far the best for creating professional photos. It is amazing how perfect they turn out. Doesn’t alter your face shape or do wacky things with your hair. If you are looking for real and professional (not avatar or goofy) then this is worth every penny.

I needed some head shots for a website and professional use. I saved a fortune on clothes and a professional photographer. You have to download a lot of different options to find one that looks like you. I can’t wait until they can allow the user to select their own clothing. That’s about the only thing Fotorama is missing right now. Highly recommend.

At first, I wasn’t satisfied with the pictures I was receiving, but the AI did get better overtime and got the photos that I needed and I’m more than satisfied to recommend anybody else that needs professional photos.

Feature request:
When we love a photo except one thing, allow us to have it copy the last one and change only select things.

Also to rate the good quality pictures, to further train the model on refining the desired outcome! And perhaps to rate low the poor quality outcomes for the same purpose.

Great application, easy to use with good results.

Pros:
- fast training model (15 min based on 12 uploads)
- fast image generation after the training
- saves the images
- 40-60% of the images are relevant and look like me, depending on setting

Suggestions:
- when I like a variant, I would love to create variations with different colors
- I like another’s user idea to rate them from 1 to 10, with 10 the best to further improve the model
- it is unclear how many images you can generate and save/download; unclear the picture resolution someone will expect - you may want to answer them in the FAQ
- a model that may work better is to have a lower annual subscription cost to cover the training, the PAYG per image generated at lower cost (e.g $0.05 x 4 = $0.2 per iteration, and $0.25 for each saved image).

I signed up on the weekly subscription plan and I was able to save 10 headshots that I liked.

Overall, the money was well spent and the product exceeded my expectations.

An affiliate program would be awesome for this!

Makes it very difficult to find an image you want based on your own description - dumbs down Fotorama to just templates making it a multiple step process to find/tweak your attempts at perfecting an image. Bring back the old function!

Fotorama is amazing, let me start by saying you do need to pay in order to use it. I had read about it awhile back that it was one of the more precise apps and I would definitely agree. The process to train the AI is very simple, it will guide you through which photos of yourself to upload and exclude what is considered a duplicate or not a well recognized photo. I was solely interested in trying Fotorama for a professional headshot photo...they turned out amazing. Besides the templates it offers, you are able to customize which keywords to describe your photo/appearance. I created several using keywords like "dark background, smiling, navy blazer" etc. and the results were astounding. Granted, it is obviously very touched up but as far as the image and similarity to my face it was almost spot on. I posted this on fb and was showing how amazing the AI generation was and I've already friends telling me it looks amazing and to use them as actual headshots. It truly showed me how sophisticated the AI is today, I'm happy I tried Fotorama and think it's fun to create my own image. Definitely worth a shot if you want to have some fun with AI!

This is one of the best AI application out there. Love using it to help with my social media. May I request a multi delete function for the pictures. Once you get too many pictures 100+, the application crashes. It would be nice to have a multi select delete function instead of one by one.
