I strongly dislike apps that force you to log in with apple and do not give you other options. Strong pass.
When I downloaded I specifically searched up “free food tracking” and this came up, I downloaded it only to say 2 sentences to the ai and have it try to force me to pay in order to use Lolo at all
If you are going to force a $20 subscription to even use Lolo tell me that before I spend 10 min answering all your questions
You can’t add a meal to a previous day so if you miss a day, you’re out of luck.
It has potential in concept, but the execution so far didn't go very far.
It only lets you track the current day, there's no way to add something you might have forgotten to the previous day, and there's no button for accessing any sorts of stats of how you've been doing over time in terms of nutrition / calories or food habits day by day.
You're limited to tracking calories for the current day and that's about it, you also have to just trust that the bot really understood the ingredient breakdown as well, since you only get a view of the main dish name (for example, poke, but the ingredients in poke may vary immensely and naturally have very diffetent calories depending on what was included).
If you're even using a chatbot, it would also be nice to be able to submit suggestions from within Lolo instead of having to send an email.
Might be a good app once it evolves but for now it's not offering much for those who actually need statistics over time.
So you write or speak what food you would like to enter, the AI responds by entering some generic version of what you said. Then you find yourself correcting the entry, all via chat.
If you want a more accurate entry you need to use the barcode feature, then it really becomes like any other food tracking app out there. Except this one does not offer anything more that calories, protein, fat and carbs. If you are interested in knowing your micros intake, use a different app.
When i log any food, it only shows the calories but not the amount. For example, i logged 1 scoop of ice cream, the log doesnt say “1 scoop”. If i later want to correct the amount, i cant possibly see how much is already logged. This also prevents me from verifying.
I really like Lolo, I like the concept that I have to do is tell it what I eat, and it finds it for me and logs however, I find it hard to find other things in Lolo , such as frequently answer questions.
I don’t use two factor authentication & the only sign up option is apple ID sadly
I love that I can just send it voice messages and it will log everything I eat, but I miss one obv thing - history. I only see the current day. Pls update.
What is there not to love about this app! I logged 6 ounces of Kroger’s CarbMaster yogurt and this app added it to my food log . It is so nice to have this app keep up with how much protein, fat and carbohydrates without me having to do it manually!
I think that Lolo is pretty intuitive but I think that it could have more potential. Number one you need to be able to go back and add to the previous day if you missed something. It will not let you go back and edit or add to a previous day. I also think it would be very helpful if it would let you put in a image to show your tracking from your weight loss app. This would be information that would just be for you and not for the bot. It just would be handy to keep it all in one place. Other than that it is a pretty cool app. AI has come a long way. TY
I’ve never written an app review but this one deserves it. It’s honestly like texting a friend what you ate quickly and it gives you everything you need to stay on track
I love this app. It’s easy to use and manage. this app does a great job of tracking calories all day long. Because it is conversational it’s kind of like text messaging and tracking food at the same time. I can look at the day I’m in to see a list of what I ate and the breakdown of calories, protein, fat, and carbs in the item. If I think this app under or overestimated, I just tell him and he fixes it ! this app is different from other weight loss apps, it is very innovative!
it's a new generation app👍🏻
I really enjoy using Lolo. I have used other food tracking apps in the past, and I end up over fussing about the specific amounts. The simplicity of the chat feature helps me not worry if everything is 100% correct. The only request I would make is for this app to be more personable in someways. When I say thank you or good morning, they don’t really react. Doesn’t ruin Lolo in any way, just would be a nice touch! Thanks!
Love the chat interface and how quick it is to track foods. It used to take me several taps and a lot of decision paralysis using the traditional food trackers to search foods, choose the quantity and add each individual ingredient… Now I can simply tell (write or speak) this app what I ate with as much or little detail and it does it’s magic to log my food!
Highly recommend for anyone tired of food tracking and looking for an easy solution 🙌
It’s so easy to put in calories in app. I don’t need to find exact food or meals, I can make a voice message and it’s done!
