We Investigate the app owner's website (Verily.com), verify their legitimacy, and uncover hidden scams and complaints.
When I asked them to delete my account and erase the data they collected they responded saying,“We are unable to proceed with deleting your Verily Me data as we are required to retain all data in our platform for at least 6 years as required by HIPAA”.
Look at all the Data categories they “may” collect and then say they can’t delete their copy of them. I’m obviously not asking them to delete the original data that was copied from other origins such as the health care exchange records. Yet Verily Me provides a canned explanation of why they must keep “all data” due to HIPPA.
VerilyMe doesn’t charge directly but the amount of personal data they ask to collect is scary, and how they use them to profit is also unknown.
So not free at all and I don’t trust the company would hold my data for nothing.
VerilyMe doesn’t work as advertised. You get someone sending you messages telling you to download other apps and log into all sorts of other apps. If VerilyMe did what it said it was going to do then all of that would be incorporated into it.
I accidentally tapped on VerilyMe thinking it was part of an Omron website and gave lots of personal information before I realized I was in the wrong place. I’ve asked VerilyMe company to delete all my information and verify. I’ll modify this review when they do.
I used to order test strips through Onduo and log my glucose numbers. But none of that is in the verily app now after I was pushed over to this new app. No responses from chat messages. How do I get my test strips for Biotel meter? Do I still have to do 10 blood checks a month? Is my insulin still covered as it was for doing these things?
VerilyMe basically reproduces the functionality of most health system portals. The meal tracker is very basic. A lot of things that can’t handle and doesn’t provide much nutritional value other than the basics. The AI is rudimentary and keeps asking the same repeated questions. Anything beyond a cold or an infected toe it’s pretty much useless. I tried VerilyMe for about a week and gave up.
Not really worth surrendering my medical information for.
You should be able to edit your posts. Sometimes the photo you take is wrong. It says it’s a snack because of the time of day you are eating it. But as a teacher sometimes it’s not my snack it was a late lunch - or maybe I slept in and ate late. Also if you forgot to submit something and want to change the snack to lunch. Or I ate part of it and want to change what it says.
The artificial intelligence part of identifying foods is largely inaccurate 85% of the time almost every meal logged has to be corrected.
One day a grapefruit is 50 calories and the next day it’s 150 calories.
2 eggs are 140 cal, not 300 as the AI says.
Plus it only looks at calories, counting calories is not where nutrition is at.
VerilyMe needs to be calculating protein and carbs when looking at meals.
I was an early paid reviewer of VerilyMe. VerilyMe collects your health data securely and puts it all in one place, allowing artificial intelligence to give you detailed health feedback. Unfortunately, VerilyMe was unable to collect continuous data, so the feedback assumed that corrective had not been taken, causing the feedback to be unusable. There is an element of current health updates (connection to Apple Health, AI meal picture analysis) but both are potentially useful rather than currently useful.
I see a big future in VerilyMe , but not enough data or analysis yet.

Such a great product. I was able to download 37 years of health records! Thank you for making it easy to pull all this data together.
I’m so excited to have all my records into a single place, so I don’t need to go to one medical, carbon health etc data just to get my cholesterol history!
