I downloaded Blackbird , entered my phone number and got my text with the authorization code. Wouldn’t accept the code and it was absolutely correct. Had a new code resent multiple times and never worked. Also when you hit the resend button to send a new code, when the code comes the keyboard doesn’t show, so you can’t reenter. You have to back out of the screen to get a code resent and the keyboard to show. Not a very impressive start!

Used it once, didn't understand the concept so I deleted it. Tried logging in again and it always gives me an error message. You can't message the company anywhere for support...weird!

When I try to register, it sends a code to my phone number but the codes do not work. I've tried a dozen times and each time got the error that the code was incorrect.

I accidentally entered my email wrong when I signed up I didn’t see anywhere to change it so I deleted the account and went to make a new one and now it won’t let me in or verify any of the codes it sends my phone. What an awful glitch. Deprived me of egging the special at this coffee shop and turned me off Blackbird

It’s basically a lame loyalty program that you can only use in NYC. It’s junk and they gather and sell your data.

As someone who went through Foursquare - Blackbird is asking user to goto a place and tap on nfc device. Useless. Foursquare (now swarm) is so much easier to use. This company just tries to slap on nft and blockchain to a useless app. $fly is just fake token.

I like it for the breakfast club, but the UI is confusing, everyone seems confused. Level up an old loyalty app was much easier to use, you could scan anytime and payment and rewards would apply automatically. Here you have to check in before placing an order, then it’s a whole confusion if you are or aren’t paying with this app. If you are they have to enter a code. And then every time the cashier completes the transaction you then have to also complete it on Blackbird . It doesn’t make sense. I also have received receipts days later, and am never sure if I just paid with my credit card or via this app. So far no restaurants have any rewards program yet, and even if they did I don’t see a way to find out. I don’t know how to use my Fly, why can’t it just be points.

They also did not respond to any of my questions via social.

weird app, if you are the couple that said i could pay my childs tuition w this app coins please reach out to me. Not for recommending me Blackbird , but for saying that upside pizza was better than prince street pizza - that’s an absolutely insane statement… Delusional concept imo

So the concept of this app is monetizing you becoming a regular at restaurants… which you can do without this app. While there is a selection of restaurants in NYC that use this app most of the good ones have no idea what it is or how it works. On top of this, in order to use the $fly that you accumulate, the restaurant has to accept this app pay, which almost none of the good ones do. It’s just awkward having to ask every restaurant host if their this app works and being met with “what is that?” especially when the puck is sitting in front of them. It’s genuinely a hilarious and unnecessary app. Finally as someone who works in the industry, the this app pay system is terrible and not convenient for guests or restaurant staff. No one is ever sure if it works and guests usually end up complaining about something related to it.

I like the concept of Blackbird but I am frustruated by the lack of way to look at the list of available restaurants, instead of just with the map

I find myself looking at the this app map when I think “where should I go eat?” They have a lot of great restaurants on there and it’s fun to accrue points wherever I go!

Also, the breakfast club is the best perk ever. i have literally redeemed hundreds of coffees at cafes near me.

Great service by Jonathan the amazing bartender polite, attentive and very friendly person. I had the special dumplings, scallion oil noodles, general TSO chicken with a side of jasmine rice everything was delicious. Happy hour and dinner recommended for a great experience and chill atmosphere.

I got a sweets summer pass NFT and just went to a tapas place across town. We gots some free croquettes and a dessert. So far it’s been awesome and I love the unique art for each membership card. Definitely interested to see what you can use the token for in the future.
