Waste of time when you can’t verify income

Just canceled the membership and deleted the account/app. Took weeks to be told I didn’t qualify even though I get over $3200 a month. I do not care about the hit to my credit to close out the account. Charging a fee and not getting access to the big selling point of your app is wack and disingenuous. GO TO YOUR LOCAL CREDIT UNION! Rates are likely lower. Boo boo there’s my whine rant.
-edit-
What a vain response. You’re still very disingenuous with your reply. Your process and procedures are only beneficial for some. Your customer service has great response times but have NO HELP. Just kept me waiting and hoping for almost a month.

No way you’re trying to say you’re are better than a 7%-12% rate from a credit union? You’re popular because of the other things you offer, but that doesn’t erase the overall extra cost. Really insensitive reply. Glad I changed my mind. I got approved for $10k through Merrimack valley FOR 60 months at 10ish %. Better than what you were offering because I bank with them and they lowered rate cuz of that. Hmm? Do you offer that? No… huh hmm.

They just sell your credit cards

Went through an overly long onboarding process (still wasn’t able to see what Gauss did). Got to the end of giving every bit of information from SSN to blood type, to hit the last screen asking what I wanted to do? Get more credit cards or improve my FICO score…by getting more credit cards. There is a small X at the bottom to say neither, but surprise, it doesn’t work. I spent how much time giving way too much personal info to then never see the company’s value proposition. I was lead to believe per some Reddit threads it was good at planning to pay off debt, all I ever found was an app trying to sell me credit cards and never allowing me to even see the dashboard before I agreed to apply for more credit cards. Don’t waste your time.

Needs major improvements

Great idea, but certainly needs improvements. The customer support team is fairly responsive, but they’ve all have had to defer internally before answering my inquiries, which can take days (from my experience).

The UX still lacks in that the directions are quite unclear. How do I remove accounts I’ve connected? Can I customize which cards I’d like to pay down first? What do I do once I pay for the subscriptions?

Again, great idea, but Gauss won’t be on my phone for very much longer. Looking forward to potentially be a return customer in the future!

False

I’ve had an account for over a year now. Started as one APR then increased when I’ve been on tie and pay more than minimum. The interest is over half of the payment and now there’s a membership feee. I regret getting this because I pay so much in fees and interest. Would’ve been better off getting a balance transfer on a CC

Why advertise in GA if not offered in GA?

Yall are obviously spending a lot of marketing in Georgia because all of my friends have been talking about Gauss. But it’s not even available here. On most platforms you can market things to a particular region. Obviously this company isn’t the brightest.

Not available in my state

Terrible. Got Gauss for the lower APR but it’s not available in my state. Had an out-of-state friend try signing up and it’s not available in his either. Where is the APR reduction available then??

Bad effect your credit score

I only paid for Gauss for one month and I didn't like it so I closed the account , it lowered my credit score. Don't use it, it doesn't work very well.

Horrible issues with app

I keep getting stuck on different parts of sign on, I also have been in log in cycle 3x now

Sign up troubles

Tried to make an account but it never sent a code to my phone number… gave up after trying it 3 times

Horrible

I was told to download Gauss , and so far horrible experience I was trying to signed up and I get a error message “ account locked “ I am unable to create an account .

Helpful and worth it

The design is great, UX is intuitive for me. I’m using Gauss to track cards, recommended payments, and see if I’m on track with bills and my targets. There’s a credit builder included, I’ve just opened it, was super straightforward. There’s a budgeting tool that tracks expenseby category and against the budgets I set, so it’s easy to see how much I can pay for cards and adjust plans . Can easily deep dive into transaction on any card or category. It’s like Mint plus credit builder plus this debt strategy plus card recommendations that apparently they are not paid for, all for the same buck. I’ll keep using it.

Tech Team is Awesome

Gauss is cool, but it didn’t work for me. So, I had issues with deleting my account, but I’m still giving it 5 Stars because the customer service via messenger and the tech team was outstanding. Anytime, I reached out to them I got an immediate response. Everyone got on top of my issue right away, or if it wasn’t fixed they’d let me know they’re still working on it .

Works

Tried the credit builder feature in this app. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, because I wanted their balance transfer thing, but it actually works. It reported to the bureau in like 3 days, and within a couple of months, my score went up. It’s a relief. There’s quite a few other feature but that builder alone is worth it cause it so autopilot.

Great to be in control

With this can actually see a path to being debt-free. Highly recommend for anyone serious about paying off their credit cards. But need good score and less debt to also get their line to payoff cards, so using their planning for now, hoping to lower balances to where I qualify soon.

Great option

Don’t carry 30% interest on cards. Move to this app at 18%ish. Not for everyone, but if you can navigate your own finances. Do your best to pay the lowest interest rate. And pay off as aggressively as you can!

love it

I’m building credit with this app for 4 months now. My score is up 27 points, from a quite low base, but still cool. I hope I can get another 30 points in 3-4 months, and will also try get the card refi from them. I’ve added their credit report tracker (it's an add-on) - there’s a chat bot that tells me what’s happening on my credit report in details and some actions I can take to improve what they say is important for credit approvals, it's much more nuanced than standard report alerts. I'm also using their budgeting, it’s convenient to have it all in one place, there’s no extra charge. They show you a payoff plan for cards, meaning how much to pay to what card to pay off faster, within my budget (they also recommend based on budgets and how I spend, can talk to AI to see opportunities to save), they show how balance should change over time in charts and how I actually pay it off, that’s helpful to stay on track. Together with budgeting I feel like I have more control over cards (you can also see how much interest you pay on cards, limits, etc.). They promise to add other types of loans, actually looking forward to it. Overall I feel like I’m getting a lot of value from the subscription, it’s like they give you 3-4 services at the price of one. The quality of the services is good, with some features I've never seen anywhere else. When something’s not working support is very reponsive and not formal, they really look into what you ask. Good job, and looking forward to new features. I rarely write reviews, but these guys should be supported, cause it’s not often to see genuine products for finance, less so for dealing with debt
