Fix This App!! Completely Not Functional!!!

This is unacceptable. When I first downloaded DODCommunityBank, I could not get past the login screen. It would perpetually load nonstop; literally no progress no matter how long I waited. I deleted DODCommunityBank , checked the reviews to see I was not the only one having this issue. I figured I would download again later, surely the developers would see the mountains upon mountains of negative reviews and at least make DODCommunityBank functional. I waited THREE MONTHS to re-download and there is no change whatsoever. Why is the one app for the only bank that service members overseas use to rely on to pay rent not functional?? Just further proof that people do not care for the people who took that oath and fight for America’s freedom. I’m extremely disappointed with this product, if I could give it zero stars, I would.

FIX THIS JUNK ALREADY!!!

Oh my god already, why can’t you guys get it right!? DoD Community Bank has consistently had the worst mobile banking app by far. I’ve got 3 other mobile banking apps and nothing is anywhere near this bad. For YEARS now your last app would only let you check balances and transfer funds, that’s it. Absolutely nothing more. Couldn’t even sign in with Face ID. Now you FINALLY come out with a new app and it supports Face ID, but it keeps wanting to send you emails with verification codes every time you sign into DODCommunityBank . Ridiculous!! Now you push out an update that I hoped would fix that nonsense, but NOPE! Now DODCommunityBank just hangs every time you open it so it’s completely unusable now. Maybe if I wait another 5 more years you’ll make a new app that’s somewhat usable.

Is it possible to give less than one star?!

This bank, DODCommunityBank, this everything is terrible. They screw you on the exchange rate... they screw you 'transaction fees'... their phone app is terrible and nothing works like it should! If they released DODCommunityBank in the states they would fail as nobody would use it. I can't believe the DoD lets this bank take advantage of service members and DoD civilians like they do. Shameful.

Nothing is working

When I launch DODCommunityBank , it says it’s out of date. When I go to DODCommunityBank Store to download a newer version, only the old version exists and it is asking for my password but seems to be wanting my user name. And to top it off, the web site will not even load. It has Ben a complete disaster since the fielded three redesigned web site. They really need to get this fixed!

Next level horrible

I hardly write reviews but DODCommunityBank has been my nightmare for over 2 years. I didn’t know it was possible for an app to be so horrific. Nothing on it works, even clicking the buttons is a pain and you have to press multiple times for a single number to register. The measurements of DODCommunityBank are off so half the time the buttons are inaccessible. It’s terrible

A horrible app!

Please, someone tell DoD Community Bank that IPads and IPhones are a thing, and that they should write their apps to support these devices. I need to be able to view all the data on my running balance on my Apple devices, not just the first two columns. And if I shift views from horizontal to vertical, it needs to corrective display, not show me less. Really, did anyone do any Quality Control before launching this?

I have an iPhone 12 Pro fully updated. I can’t even log into your app because I can’t seem to ‘read and agree’ to the terms and service. I can’t scroll, or do anything. Seriously, all military banks should just take the ‘L’ and pay Navy Federal or USAA to use thier programming. Those are the only DOD affiliated banks worth anything. Unfortunately, Community Bank is a nessesary evil when stationed in Europe. Horrible and frustrating app.

The original app was a 2 star dumpster fire. This “upgrade” is a 1 star dumpster fire. Difficult to use and navigate. The interface makes no sense. Why do I need to use an authentication password sent to my email every time I use Touch ID login in? It defeats the purpose of Touch ID login. But I don’t need an authentication password emailed to me when I used password login. It seems more likely my password would be stolen than my fingerprint.

It’s Bad Bad Bad

I was so hopeful when I saw a new app was coming. I should have known better. You get three minutes to enter the verification codes, but it takes over five minutes to get the email. Don’t choose Face ID to log in because it just does not work - DODCommunityBank just cycles and cycles and cycles. As much money as this bank has overall, and as much money as DOD pays for the contract, you’d think they could hire someone’s 8th grade niece who went to coding camp and fix this mess.

Dumpster Fire Continues

Just everything about DODCommunityBank, the web-site, and the entire bank in general is just not good. How they have managed to break everything imaginable, in every possible way, is beyond me. I hated their exchange fees in the past (still do) but at least the old website did the basic functions, like let me login(!), and pay my bills. Now, I never know what I'm going to get. Why a roomful of people are not fired is beyond me. Counting the days to get back stateside and back to a real bank.

The Stupidest Bank App I Ever Seen

DODCommunityBank is TERRIBLE! I need to see my transactions in order to see if my Telekom payment came out and I have to go through a maze to try to find the listing of the transactions. DODCommunityBank opens up with Euro conversions. I have an app for that. I need to see my transactions right away like my Andrews Federal Credit Union app and all my credit card apps. I set up facial recognition to get on it and that stopped working. I do not know who designed DODCommunityBank but they need to organize it better. Rating -10.

I thought you would make it better but it literally the same trash in a different Garbage Can you can’t even make the most simple thing in the world and that is to make INTERNAL !! transition.

What would happen if I need money now in the weekend knowing that I have money in my savings account, yet I can’t do nothing about it and you are pretty much screwed for something soo simple,

The whole purpose of having a móviles app is for accessibility at all times. and DODCommunityBank can’t even get the job done.

The Worst Banking App Available

When I bank with all of my other accounts at other banks, I have zero complaints. In fact the mobile version surpasses the experience in a browser! Enter: Community Bank for the DoD………

Only available banking option to pay overseas direct to the landlord, and they’ve made it the most difficult thing on the planet. App is counterintuitive at best, non-functional at second best. Are the programmers kindergartners?? I’ve seen better apps developed by high school students in their bedrooms. Fix this piece of garbage, or don’t. Not that the developers really care.

Terrible app

As a banking app, this is the worst one I have ever had to use. Having to do a dual verification for every login is beyond redundant. I already have facial recognition to login so it would only be logical that I would have my own email access to get the pin number. Once in DODCommunityBank , finding just the account history is a frustrating process. Then, you can only see the last three or four transactions. If I didn’t have to use this bank being overseas, I wouldn’t. 2+ years without fixing your app to be more user friendly just shows how they feel about you as a costumer.

Never Had a Problem with OnLine Banking Until NOW

I can no longer access my account on my iPad. First I was told I have to change search engines; did that; still no access. Then I was told I must have forgotten or typed in the wrong password or user name; not so because it worked on the bank’s computer when I went to my local branch seeking help, but didn’t work at home. Today bank personnel attempted to send me away with the recommendation to call the Help Desk. Already did that months ago to no avail. They gave me a ticket number with the promise that IT would contact me with a solution LAST YEAR. Still haven’t heard anything. I could go on, but I won’t - with anything. NOW I can’t even send my negative review.

Would give 0 stars if I could

This is by far the worst app I ever encountered. I had better online banking in 1997 when I had to load it from a square disk and use dial-up to access it. All recurring transfers were cancelled when the new app was created but that was never communicated to customers (telling me you sent a letter in the mail in June does nothing for someone who opened the account in Sept). Thankfully I went to the branch and asked just in time. There’s no longer any previous transactions. Now I’m expecting rent to pay again and all I see is a pending payment for Dec 1. It’s Dec 18. So another trip to the branch is going to have to happen before Christmas so I’m sure my rent is paid. The poor folks in the branches are taking the heat for this colossal mess and I feel bad for them.

Terrible

The previous app wasn’t that good but light years ahead of this one. Initial set up was good. I like the face recognition, which is improvement. However, DODCommunityBank won’t open anymore. When it does, the functionality is convoluted and not user friendly. How about you folks actually drop some of that Banking profits and get an app that works, like your competitors.

Terrible app, but not as bad as I originally thought.

On initial interaction with DODCommunityBank , it is counterintuitive and I was only able to figure out a basic function through frustrated desperate clicking.

I just wanted to see what charges were on my account, but instead of it being one click away, you have to run a report for your account history like a statement. DODCommunityBank is the lowest quality of banking apps out there, but I need it for one function and that function works.

Great app

At first I was upset about the new app but after they told me that they had no control over when DODCommunityBank would be released and walked me through everything it became super easy to do my banking. DODCommunityBank is way better than the last it just requires you to familiarize yourself with it. Most of it is pretty self explanatory and it looks a whole lot better.

Okay Banking Application, BUT Could Use QoL Improvements

Unlike all the other negative comments about DODCommunityBank, I think that it’s pretty decent. It’s okay but not the best and cannot compare to other US bank apps. I do like their built in two-factor authentication because it’s responsive, and relatively quickly at that.

Instead of only complaining on comments, I’d like to suggest one quality of life improvement. If the bank app could have a “spending history” or some type of accounting tracker, it would make it super convenient for the average user to track their recent purchases, without having to look at their account statements.
