I’ve had a common sense media account forever. I even donate.
I’ve reset my password like 4 times trying to just get CommonSenseMedia to work. Never does. Constant “Oops”. Go to website, can login fine us8mg exact same credentials. Back to CommonSenseMedia : “Oops…”. Sure wish I could be apart of the 4.8 out 5 stars crowd…but this thing just takes of space on my screen. Also appears the only way to maybe get a response from them is to leave a bad review…so here goes nothing!

I don’t use CommonSenseMedia very often but when every I do used it less then once a week it logs me out, now that’s doesn’t bother me much what bothers me is that the password never works I have had to change the password about 5 times now an it’s very annoying. Along with that I know it’s CommonSenseMedia because I will use the same password on the website and it works just fine but on CommonSenseMedia even after I change it the log in never works

Downloaded CommonSenseMedia yesterday and every time I try to log on I get “Oh, something has gone wrong. Please try again later.” I’ll keep trying because I love the website and was hoping CommonSenseMedia would work.

Update: I was told to try again by developer due to possible maintenance being the cause. So I downloaded app again and still having the error. Just easier on their website.

I think CommonSenseMedia overall is okay. When I realized I had to pay for it, deleted immediately. I would rather have a few adds for relevant products for families than pay for something I can search for on the internet. I also was disappointed about the way the filters work. If you have little boys, the books that are more likely to be enjoyed by them are at the bottom. Something that could have been awesome impacted by virtue signaling and money making.

I downloaded CommonSenseMedia mainly to be able to find content ratings for books. CommonSenseMedia makes you PAY after reading 3 reviews. I can get the same content ratings for movies FREE on imbd. I shouldn’t have to pay to do the same for books. I would really love for someone to develop a site like imbd for books.

I was looking up some shows that my kids were watching. The review is very superficial, noting that hardly anything had educational value. While I'm aware this is true of a majority of television is shallow, the review didn't match the show.

After a few reviews, I hit a paywall. The little content I was able to access did not make me wanting to pay for full access.

Whenever I try to log in (I’m 11 so I chose kids) and I fill out the information and my parents email I ask my mom to check my email but the email never shows up!

I have relied on Common Sense Media to help guide me since my children were little. they also help me figure out various gaming platforms like Minecraft Roblox. In fact, if it weren’t for Common Sense Media, my children would have none of these games. Not only does Common Sense Media share credible reviews, they also give tutorials how to set up parental monitoring on gaming platforms. I’m so grateful for this resource, I tell every parent I know.

I love that I can check to see if a book is clean and appropriate to read. I also get to see feedback on how good of a book it is.

Common Sense Media might not have EVERY book, movie, and show that my son requests, but wow they have a lot. Love the fact that reviews include details about language, romance, and violence.

I find the content here to be very helpful, well thought out and extremely informative with which movies my wife and I should - or perhaps shouldn’t - watch with our two daughters.

This has been my go to reference when checking a movie before we watch with my kids. I have relied on this common sense media platform 100%. IMDB is trash compared to this movie review and reference.

We’ve been using this website for five years. And I’m so grateful for it. I don’t let my children watch anything with out checking a review first. And now I am writing reviews to help other parents.

If you want to know about a show before setting your kiddos in front of the tv this is your app. If you have a neurodivergent kiddo, want to find shows that have representation, or are an old parent of a young kiddo like me and want to check on those movies you used to watch but aren’t quite sure your kid should watch, then CommonSenseMedia is super helpful.

It’s like a movie/show review on my pocket! So easy and convenient. I used to use their website a lot but nowadays I have my phone all the time so their app version really enhance the experience! Great design and artistic interface i absolutely love it!

I use CommonSenseMedia everytime I watch a movie with my girlfriend, make sure there isn’t anything crazy in the movie, we like watching the romance movies, but not the intense romance, I also use this for me if I am watching a movie by myself. CommonSenseMedia is great, and Common Sense Media is very helpful!

Not entirely sure what the difference is between CommonSenseMedia and the website, but this is a fantastic guide for anytime you’re not sure what media your kids could be ingesting. Especially when you don’t have the time to pre-watch every show or movie before watching with your kids.

CommonSenseMedia is great when you are trying to find a clean book. It provides information about what it has and does not have and it is perfect for teenagers when they are trying to find books that don’t have anything too steamy. Perfect for finding the exact book you want to read!
