Hiragana Sensei Reviews

i've been learning Japanese in school, and learned hiragana last year, but it’s still important to keep practicing it, and duolingo just wasn’t helping much. HiraganaSensei helps me practice the characters, and learn new words like wind, bag, body things like that, which i don’t learn other wise. plus the designs are so cute! even once i finish the lessons i will definitely keep using them to practice :)
i also want to check out the katakana one, it looks amazing!

I was having trouble on some of the characters but every app I tried just wasn’t helping. I finally found this and got it, it helped me so much! It actually effected my learning and helped me a lot! It allows you to study the words in a way that helps you memorize them. Even if you are still struggling you can take the lesson again. I like to repeat doing lessons over and over, it just helps me memorize the characters better.

i have not been using hiragana sensei for too long, but i can say that it is a great, efficient and kawaii way of learning or remembering your hiragana! it has helped me a lot and i look forward to using it more in the future! hiragana sensei has a lot too offer: example sentences in hiragana, quizes, colors, food, and much much more! i would definitely recommend HiraganaSensei to anyone looking to learn hiragana. 🤩

Three stars because it’s good and functional and cute; it’s just really only helpful to use if you’re reviewing and not learning for the first time.

I think that it’s a very cute app and it’s helpful for review and practice — I’ve mostly been using the Katakana application to review and found it amazing and very helpful overall, but the hiragana application I come to not already knowing the characters and found my experience much worse off. I think it would be a lot better if the sounds of the characters played before you selected your choice — your guess.

I don’t usually write reviews but HiraganaSensei is adorable! All lessons are free & the entire format of HiraganaSensei is adorable & super organized. Makes learning fun. I’m enjoying using HiraganaSensei & will definitely recommend to my friends & anyone else out there trying to memories the Hiragana characters! I also just realized there’s a Katakana Sensei app too! Gonna download that one once I’m done learning Hiragana :)

I got HiraganaSensei because I wanted to learn Hiragana, and I loved it! It gives you a Hiragana chart, and then it gives you lessons! The only thing is that it’s better to use after you know all the characters, because it gives you a character and it asks you what sound it makes. But overall a great app to learn Hiragana with! And it’s sooooo cute!

I have been using a bunch of apps and this one really works for me. It’s splits up the characters into two sets then quizzes you on the set you learned using words that are simple yet useful. I look forward to learning katakana with their other app. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn hiragana.

HiraganaSensei is so underrated! It's my favorite app for hiragana. It has a super cute and easy to understand layout and you get good review and practice. I was originally learning hiragana on a different app but once I switched to this one I learned it much faster. It's really fun to use and overall a great app! Highly recommend as a necessity for learning hiragana!

I love HiraganaSensei I love cute Kawaii things and this is so cute and I love to study with this because I can’t stop playing it to cute to stop oh and umm I was wondering if by any chance do you think u can make a kanji Sensei I would be helpful because it’s the last alphabet just asking But over all it’s a very good and cute app thank I for making HiraganaSensei

I used HiraganaSensei to review a lot, and in tandem with other apps it really helped me out with memorizing/quickly being able to recognize characters! The Kotoba challenges were also really useful to me. Highly recommend it for anyone trying to teach themselves Hiragana :)

Let's see here, uh yeah Totally love HiraganaSensei it's super cute and fun! I like the pictures and art style!! But I don't suggest this for people who know barely anything. I like that you can go back and redo lessons! But I feel like some of the words in the Kotoba Challenge are miss spelled, I'm a beginner and it's either they're spelled wrong or I'm just understanding wrong. Overall I support HiraganaSensei and look forward to learning cool stuff from it!

I never write reviews but I feel I sorta have to with HiraganaSensei. It’s super helpful for me getting back into learning japanese as a review tool and I’m learning a lot of new words I should know with the Kotoba after going through all the hiragana lessons. It’s also extremely cute which helps.

And the format is adorable plus there is no unmotivating notes like Duolingo
Instead of telling me i ran out of hearts and taking away hearts when I fail,
There is no hearts that get taken away, I get unlimited try’s, and when I don’t do good, it tells me I did good and to just try a little harder next time, with a cute sticker
It means a lot as little of a thing as it is❤️

Amazing app, I think the developers have done an outstanding job

The testing is pretty great. The learning part is just a big chart of characters you look at and try to memorize, which imho is not ever effective.

Also, there’s a glitch where after you pass a test and get stars and are sent back to the test overview area it still shows 0 stars. Once you change tabs you it refreshes. I hope this can be fixed.

HiraganaSensei is amazing for anyone getting started with learning Japanese! It’s free with no ads… and you can tell the developer poured his or her art and devotion into the apps he or she makes. HiraganaSensei is amazing and has helped gotten me to get the hang of hiragana alongside a few other apps!

Prior to using HiraganaSensei I was studying some of the hiragana alphabet, and HiraganaSensei enhanced that. This is a really cutesy app good for learning the characters and their sounds. Along with some basic words written with these characters. I totally recommend HiraganaSensei for anybody!

It’s very cute and well- designed app ! It puts everything about hiragana out there in a simple manner and easy to find things . I just have a question when you arrive at the kotoba where do you study the words first ?

I can not stress enough how amazing HiraganaSensei is!!! I have made so much process so quickly, I owe it all to HiraganaSensei and its overload of cuteness. The lessons have become a game that I never want to stop playing! Give it a chance, I promise it is worth your time. :)

HiraganaSensei is really good! The animals are adorable and it is very easy to understand! My daughter got it right away. There is one problem though; when she got to the Kotoba Challenge she couldn’t press the submit button. Other than that, it is a great app and again very cute!

I wanted to re-learn Hiragana and this was the best app I found, the issue of having kotoba (vocabulary) for practicing the Hiragana is perfect!
I think you may add the way of drawing the hiraganas for people learning for the first time.
Anyway, I love HiraganaSensei and I highly recommend it!

I am not disappointed with HiraganaSensei. It does not take long to do the lessons and you can redo them as much as you like. HiraganaSensei has helped me SO MUCH! I am 100% downloading this creators Katakana Sensei App as well.

Wow... It’s so cute and it works! I actually learned how to read hiragana in three days using HiraganaSensei, as well as a lot of words. I will definitely use katakana sensei

It’s straightforward and easy to follow. One thing though, when I get to the kotoba challenges, it never counts any of my answers which makes the questions keep going on forever so I don’t get the stars.

So I am a fan of the Japanese culture and want to learn hiragana to start but this has not really helped so far. It doesn’t give you answers and gives you a 1 star when you’re trying your best. It’s really more of a flash cards game then an actual learning tool. I don’t recommend this for beginners.

Great for practice and it’s so cute to look at! I’m always happy to refresh/study because of the characters ♡
