Too much information but too poor app

KotakBankOld has plethora of things to do but KotakBankOld design is extremly poor. UX Designer did a good job but development team couldn’t build the UI. KotakBankOld doesn’t save the state so any switch from KotakBankOld to any other app or homescreen will male you lose the state were you were in KotakBankOld and everything has to be restarted from scratch. Who develops such interfaces where you can’t preserve the state of the customer and everytime KotakBankOld is switched, the state is gone. Biggest issue is when talking to the bot. First of all the bot has no machine learning and can’t reply to most of the questions. Then finally you get connected to customer service but even accidently switching KotakBankOld will make you lose the iframe of customer care chat and all your wait and struggle is gone for a toss, restart again to connect to th agent. Every company on the globe are trying to minimize human interaction but kotak is the only company which is still living in stone age and believes that a customer can only be served after he calls the customer care and there is no thing called self serve.

Forcing to visit branch for simple updates

Very worst experience and full disappointed. For everything simple getting the answers like Sorry sir, pls visit nearest Branch..For phone update forcing to visit the Branch even in this COVID situation. I told that I don’t have access to my old phone number and request to update new phone which I can provide OTP. Is this due to security reasons? How about if ur customers effect by ur branch visit? How about the customers currently in other country for a year or so who don’t have access to old phone and wish to update their new India phone number? How about a new customer having my old phone number to open account in Kotak? I cannot update to new phone and other person can’t open new account.. without thing this basics how can take these weird decisions?This is nothing but loosing the customers and leads to redirecting other banks..

Hopeless

Duffer most software or application in charge senior officer or developer is there. There is no user friendly option to contact bank by email or to contact by message . Only option is AI CHAT with irritating Keya. Even at main menu there is option as CONTACT US below the option CHAT with Keya, But this net option CONTACT US lead to CHAT with Keya. Why there is same option under 2 different headings ? Why there is no option to contact by email?
There is no option introduced by Top Management to register international phone no. Nationalized government operated Sbi bank have this option. Really certified Bogus Application

Too complex UI + Unresponsive + Rethink the flow

UI is too complex for any given user. There’s no need to house everything in the mobile app. Use SSO and take the user to web for non-app centric features. The UI is clunky, slow and unresponsive at times. It seems KotakBankOld tries to group various features under specific buckets within KotakBankOld which makes it even more confusing. Very hard to trace back the steps once you’re deep in KotakBankOld . Accessing transactions is key app feature which shouldn’t take 4-5 screen taps. Why can’t the user scan a check with camera and e-deposits the check (this will save time and effort)?

If it were upto me, I would sit down with the UI designer to really re-think how the new digital india would interact with mobile app. Someone should seriously think about it at Kotak (banks need to think and do more on user experience front). Having just the core banking capabilities will not help Kotak to fight FinTech in near future.

Excellent app but few loophole

I love using KotakBankOld for its easiness except for few things. First if one logs out of app, the face ID immediately signed you back so I have to hold the phone away from facing while signing out. Secondly more interesting is that I have KotakBankOld installed in my previous iPhone and later when I got new iPhone I used iOS quickstart method to setup my new phone. To my surprise KotakBankOld was installed and active in my new phone instantly without asking for verification. While I understand that its good but it has dark side too as long as you’re in safe hands. I also had other banking app and those asked me to verify before giving the access. It deserves 5 star only if these two things got fixed.

No email ad available

There is no option to interact with bank directly even by email only poor programmed auto reply chat Keya is there Often exit option not available in apple phone particularly when one is deep in to the various options No international phone no switching option like one have in SBI credit card application. Could not succeed to apply for add on credit card to an existing customer of bank

Best one among the banking apps

New update and Face ID login made KotakBankOld go further to get 5+ star. You guys are doing fantastic job. Very user friendly and fast enough to carry any transactions.

If you are seeing this I would suggest one bug in KotakBankOld where if I am in credit card or service request tab and hit logout the prompt comes in asking for ok/cancel after hitting ok it just stays their instead of logout. But from home the logout works fine. If you could fix that would be great..

App is great but not working since couple of days

App is designed beautifully, but some how app is stuck on splash page and take forever to move inside of KotakBankOld . In simple words it’s not working since last 7 days.

Need update crashes and invalidates a session

After the current update right after logging in the session becomes invalid. Tried several times. Then had to delete and reinstall KotakBankOld .
Team please correct the issue.

It’s not working on my iPhone

2 days back I received mandatory update and after that App stopped working on my iPhone. Home page is locked and not loading further pages.

One of the best banking app

I have used many Indian as well as global banking apps. It is the best Indian banking app and is in par with major US banking apps. KotakBankOld is one of the main reason to retain my savings account with Kotak Mahindra Bank. It is so simple to use and the tiles in the home page makes easy to navigate with bunch of options.

Banking on Fingertips

Spectacular app that is feature rich to provide every feature and functionality that you meed for banking on your finger tips. Just phenomenal, don't just read the ratings rather try and see the difference .

Application is struck at main page

Unable to get in to the application. Either it throws “time out issue” or “we are facing a technical issue”. I have downloaded it twice to check if there are any issues while installing the application. Seems like problem is with application. Kindly check and resolve this issue.

Amazing and best mobile banking app

This is the best mobile banking apps that I have come across. Honestly, the overall usability is user friendly and KotakBankOld provides a frictionless experience for day to day banking, credit payments or even putting money aside for investment. Everything is super easy and simple with Kotak!

Application not opening

Update: I have un-installed KotakBankOld and reinstalled it back again, and it starts working. I would suggest everyone to do the same.

Application is stuck at startup window after this update. Please have a look into this issue.

Excellent app

Kotak bank has nice app, I hold several international accounts but KotakBankOld is better than all the apps I have used so far. App has nice UI, intuitive navigation and best is the speed and least down time unlike other national bank apps. Far are not those days when users will change their banks due to lousy apps.

Kotak App

Over the years Kotak App is becoming better. Now it does not expire my password so often. Good to see it is integrated with lot of other options including shopping travel etc. They still got to allow Cheque deposit in App. And if they could show the Demat account on the same page and simplify KYC, I will call them best bank in India.

Fix the issue with autologin every time with faceid even after i just loggedout.

All works great. But when i logout , app automatically navigate all the way back to login page and with FaceID activated it login again quickly.

Every time i have to immediately close KotakBankOld right after clicking on Logout sothat it doesn’t login me again. It may sounds weird but thats an issue. Fix it. Don’t redirect to login page after logout instead take user to the big menu screen.

Foolish Kotak Employees

I have been struggling to transfer money from my account( newly opened, debit card not received) to another Kotak account , currently I am in USA , sent message to branch manager, marketing person and also my customer relationship manager , but none helped me , then I checked the net and it was well explained by an external web site , and it was done within a few minutes
I am extremely unhappy that SMS messages are not coming on my Indian sim , here in USA , tried everything possible but could not do it

Tel. Banking

Tel. Banking in kotak is excellent and staff is better than branch . I talked to one member name Sarin and she is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and sort out my problem in less than two minutes . Same thing branch staff could not do it .
