Free version is so limited in what it allows I feel it’s worthless.

Does not have unusual ingredients like Maca Flour or Cassava flour to ass on my ingredients. It is pretty useless to me.

This seems to have contradictory information. Looking for low potassium foods, some are classified as “high” that are actually lower than some considered “low”. The mg definition of what is high or low is inconsistent.

This keeps adding ingredients from another recipe and when trying to add new ingredients. I just got this, I’ll start playing with it more and update.

Naturalfoodguide would be amazing, except it can’t be because the ingredients in the database are general ingredients and not brand specific. This will cause gross inaccuracies in any nutritional facts you are attempting to calculate. I tried to search a specific oat milk and they had one option only for all oat milks. There are at least 7 I can think of with vastly different nutritional facts. Which one is what they’re using on Naturalfoodguide ?? I have no idea how they choose what 1 oat milk nutritional facts they should use to cover the vast variety and nutritional contents out there.
Naturalfoodguide can only work if you know exactly which brand and only use the exact brand they are using for the 1 option per food database.

I was looking for an app that has MORE nutrient info. It was hard to tell on Naturalfoodguide info page. We have to watch phosphor, potassium, and sodium. I am also looking for many more foods and brands. More information please!

I wanted to find simple things like graham crackers and whole wheat bread. The simple things are not on Naturalfoodguide. There are lots of foods on here but I’m not having much success with ordinary things. It’s a good thing that there is package labeling. Not thrilled with having to figure it out when I thought Naturalfoodguide would have it. I’m back to net carbs as a rule of thumb. I liked learning the GL. That was helpful. Am I missing something like a GL calculator? That would improve Naturalfoodguide. I want to love it and use it.

I purchased Naturalfoodguide based on the fact it offers mineral content, particularly iodine. I have to watch this strictly in my diet. Upon comparing the iodine content of multiple items it is obvious many are charted to low in Naturalfoodguide . An example would be 1 oz of Nori seaweed contains 6x the amount of mcg then Naturalfoodguide claims. Another 5 oz of wild salmon would be about 10x more mcg then app claims. I understand iodine is not something many track but those of us who have to track iodine it is detrimental to our health.

I have been using Naturalfoodguide and I would love it if it had a way to add your own foods with nutritional values. There are many foods that are off. For example mozzarella. What if you use part skim?
Pita bread. There are many healthier options in the store that are way less calories, no sugar, few carbs and no cholesterol.

I am primarily interested in glycemic load, and Naturalfoodguide does a good job there. 5 stars will require some name brands to be listed in the database, in addition to the generic foods.

I love Naturalfoodguide! I needed to watch my iodine intake for my thyroid and this is the only app that I found that tracks iodine.

I like that recipes can be programmed in, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to add “unusual” ingredients and their nutritional data. For example, there are no listings for reduced-fat or fat-free Greek yogurt, which are very popular in the US.

This is one if the only apps around that give me all the nutritional data free of charge. Love it. It’s very customizable

As somebody who has diabetes, and wants to live a low glycemic life…this is essential.
Being able to use a few more measures would be great, but sure, I can do some of the entries by weight.
THANK YOU!

Typically on charts in my experience reds denote bad things. When I check a food and see all the reds I get an immediate negative opinion.
I suggest that Naturalfoodguide should only show reds on bad items.

Naturalfoodguide has saved me a lot of time calculating nutritional information. I bought the pro version because I needed the detailed information. It’s well worth it. I’m a diabetic & I love how I can change the serving size so I know exactly what amount fits my carb count
I have a few suggestions for consideration:
1- Allow an option to change from ounces to cups, tablespoons & teaspoons
2-Add baking soda to the list

This is a great app. I am a t2 diabetic and need good tables for carbs and glycemic load. This is very good. Loads of info, customizable and helpful. Easy to use. Thanks!

Just needs more updated food choices.

Excellent app. I was looking for something like this for a while. Any one serious about nutrition and health, should download.
Looking forward to more content and updates.

I’ve been looking for “this” for a long time! I finally learned, after many decades of life, about the interaction between high levels of glycemic load (which is related to, but not identical with Glycemic Index) and stubbornness in burning fat. And because having a very low glycemic load creates other health problems, this tool is indispensable in staying in the appropriate GL range for me, to control my fat burning capabilities. Thank you!

I love Naturalfoodguide. It helps you with your chosen diet, like lower cholesterol, or higher omega 3 diet, or diabetes. It will give a little face next to the things you are trying to watch. I love it when the face is happy. You have to check it out. It has a huge list of foods and you can create recipes.

great interface support german just needs little more information

Naturalfoodguide will give a dizzying list of information about all the foods in its database. It allows one to create and evaluate recipes and evaluate the recipe based on all the information. Emphasis is on foods that could be ingredients in a recipe. I wish it allowed copying ones recipes and revising the copy. I wish that there was an Android version, too.
