Lost MAJOR points!!!

There was a problem with the touch feature of the password. I wrote them about the problem. They sent me a form letter that had nothing to do with the subject I wrote about. I wrote back expressing the importance of not being able to get to my passwords but they never got back to me. I'm not sure exactly but I don't think the people responding to the emails knew the English language very well. This is definitely an app that you need to understand what people are talking about in order to them respond correctly. I've not been able to use TinyPassword - which means NONE of my passwords. I've lost all respect for this company. Beware! Relying on using the touch feature may be a big mistake! It sometimes decides that it doesn't want to work. That wouldn't necessarily be a problem if the key-in password you chose works after initiating the touch feature. Either get a different app or don't use the touch feature and rely on it.

This is my first review of any app but I am so frustrated I didn't know why else to do. I have been using TinyPassword for literally years. I several hundred entries, website logins, credit card numbers, ssn#s, membership info, info I needed to pay bills and just generally everything you could think of. It was awesome not having to remember all that stuff. I decided to reset my phone to default due to some issues I was having. And now when I reconnect TinyPassword to my drop box. Nothing no happens. It says it's synced to my Db but there are no entries, it wants me to start fresh. When I go to drop box directly I see the file sitting there, patiently waiting but it won't sync when I connect it. I have reached out to the developer twice with no response. Please, does anyone know a work around? I need my info back.
TERRIBLE

I had TinyPassword for a while and loved it. Recently updated to iPhone 10 max and unlike all my other apps this one was the only app that when transferred did not restore my info. HUNDREDS OF PASSWORDS AND OTHER INFO LOST. When I opened TinyPassword on my new phone and it was empty it stated if your an old user type in this address and you will be able to download your info. Needless to say I tried several times and received an error message that it’s an incorrect address. They state as you can read before leaving negative reviews please email. I emailed them 6 days ago no reply, then again 4 days ago and once again no reply. I am so sorry I ever used TinyPassword. As you well know how many passwords and other valuable info I know need to restore on my own countless hours of my time. I will make sure to read every review before
This app is a nightmare - DO NOT USE IT

The developer is negligent in updating their apps and informing users of new apps. I started using 1Key (predecessor to Tiny Passwoerd) 9 years ago and woke up to the nightmare today of not being able to open TinyPassword at all. It hadn’t been updated for the new Apple iOS. They didn’t inform 1Key users of the upcoming issues or notify us of a workaround.
After doing some research I figured out how to re-install TinyPassword and praise to the Orishas that this worked so now I am able to actually see my passwords. I downloaded tiny password to use the updated version of TinyPassword and now can’t sync my passwords. Have followed the directions several tomes, turned my phone off etc and still can’t sync between 1Key and Tiny Password using the http portal either.
TinyPassword was great until it stopped working. I should have seen the writing on the wall though. The last update for TinyPassword was 3 years ago. I even emailed the company about the Dropbox support not working and never got a response. You can even visit their website and TinyPassword is nowhere to be found. It’s like they just stopped caring about it.
Honestly this was by far the best password app until now when it’s no longer compatible with iOS 13.2
Now I need to find a new app (mSecure seems to be good) to use since this bit the dust. Would have been nice if they would have at least put in TinyPassword that it’s no longer supported by the company.
Hate the new interface

Why do you have to ruin a great app??? If it was great, why ruin it? I regret updating, and for what a more colorful app??? Know I can't read my notes!!! Which are crucial to my passwords. You should fire whoever came up with this idea and the people that approved it! I wish I could rate it at have a star. ALSO After the update, TinyPassword couldn't be any slower login in to. You input your password hit enter and literally takes close to 4 seconds before it starts to allow you to see your password. C'mon update TinyPassword already, it's been a year since the last update; I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER!!! Still have to rate it a 1 star because I can't rate it a half star.
Really disappointed with current version

I have TinyPassword on my iPhone and have all my passwords safely snugged away. Now on the iPad they don't sync to my Dropbox account. I could re-enter them all here, but that seems tedious and unproductive. There have been complaints from other users about this for months, but there hasn't been an update since, when? November of 2015? Seriously? It might be time to explore the options available with another password app.
On iOS 14.2 it constantly crashes on startup!!!
Read for restoring

I have been using TinyPassword for the last 4+ years and it works great. Without the need for restoring the data to another phone, there are no complaints on TinyPassword . However, as lot of reviews mentioned, restoring data into another IPhone isn't as easy as the instructions say. I tried several ways and nothing worked. After repeated attempts, this is the way I could restore the passwords in another iPhone.
In the old phone- Go to settings - Wifi backup and restore - get the URL
On the new phone- Go the safari browser - type in the old URL(backup) - take the backup onto an ICloud location
Go to TinyPassword - settings - Wifi back and restore - get the new URL
Go to safari and type in the URL that you got for new phone - click on restore from the location and choose iCloud Drive
Switch back to TinyPassword - you should see prompt for restore- click it and that should sync all the information on your new phone.
I got it working this way and hope it helps few others as well.
Thank you!
Offload App & Reinstall to Access Again

Experienced the same issue as others where TinyPassword would just crash after the last few updates, and thought my passwords were gone forever. But kudos to Noctu (a recent reviewer on here) who advised as to how to get TinyPassword to work again!
Offload (do not delete) TinyPassword via Settings / General / IPhone Storage / Tiny Password... then reinstall. App launches fine and all my data is still there. However, I’ll be searching for a new password manager immediately of course.
I knocked off 2 stars because it hasn't been updated since November 2015 and doesn't show up anywhere on developer website. I haven't used the drop box sync but read that it doesn't work. Nightly iCloud backups seems to have saved my bacon.
I am most concerned that appxy no longer lists TinyPassword anywhere on their website. It seems to function well enough under ios 10 but I am worried about future iOS updates.
Lost A Point!

Great app but just tried to sync with dropbox and got error messages that the platform had changed and TinyPassword needed to update the linking portion of the code!Thank god I have backup copies of everything. Would be better if it sync’d with iCloud. They lost another point when I checked with their website and they don’t even list the program as one they support! Bye bye.
⚠️ Read Kieran W’s Review For Recovery!

Like some of you, I, too have had TinyPassword for years. I recently upgraded from a 6s to an 11 and realized the data does not transfer over automatically. But if you follow EXACTLY what Kieran W. says to do you will get your passwords back! Initially when I tried it, I couldn’t get it to transfer. But I came back to the review a week or so later and read it carefully, and it works guys!
Take your time, read each step, and get your passwords back. It isn’t really hard. It just takes a few steps.
Outside of that TinyPassword is like having a digital notebook. You’re not getting functionality, you’re getting a place to store your passwords that doesn’t involved pen and paper. That’s it.
If you want more go to last pass or 1password. Or that other one that’s more secure and safer than those two. TinyPassword works because it’s like Web 1.0 no one is on it. It’s plus/minus is it’s simplicity.
Good improvements overall

Love the new interface layout. I like the consolidated look and how it works just as well as before. I liked the old darker color scheme though, as too many apps have gone to a white basis now and it's getting to be a bit too much. The black made sense for keeping a covert connotation with passwords and such. I HATE the new logo with the big PASS word across it. Quite ugly across the revolted logo. Just change it to the new white logo if you must keep the color scheme. I liked the old name too. The new one is too long. Maybe it was needed for legal reasons though...who knows.
How to open app after 14.4 update!
2023-07-08
by Noctu
I updated to the newest iOS update 14.4 and like everyone else my app would not open. I calmly freaked out and to make a long story short there IS an easy way to fix it. It feels terrifying but it worked without issue for me. Go to settings > general > iPhone storage > scroll or search for Tiny Password > Offload App (this deleted TinyPassword BUT it saves your data!) > reinstall app. With fingers crossed I opened the reinstalled app and it actually opened. It asked for my password and it works just like before (none of my data was lost and I can access my passwords again). TinyPassword doesn’t seem to have active support so I am going to start looking for a new option. I loved TinyPassword, but realizing TinyPassword is not even shown on the dev’s page anymore should concern us all.
I love this! My phone is with me 24/7 and this is a fabulous way to keep up with passwords and various other details associated with websites and other places I don't access often. I really like the fact that it is so customizable! I can add notes and change categories. I can use TinyPassword 's security in addition to that on my phone. I highly recommend TinyPassword.
It was above average & it's now improved

I gave TinyPassword a 5-star rating a month ago, although I disliked the background & the fonts made it hard to see the data (see below). They listened & "fixed" it. Thanks (LOL, can I take credit for the improvements?)😊. I believe, they also added a few nice features. -------- My entire review on 10 October 2015 follows:
Simple & easy to use with several ready-to-use "templates" for different categories or types of passwords, id's, etc. You can also add data fields to those templates or you can create your own templates for other types of data by choosing from 8 different data types, including images from your camera or library.
This would be one of my primary apps for storing sensitive or non-sensitive types of data, but I have 1 suggestion. I dislike the solid black background, especially since the green or red fonts for field names are too pale & small to easily read. An option to chose at least 1 other theme would be helpful. And backup to Dropbox is quite fine with me, but 'nowadays' many people might prefer to have auto-sync to iCloud.
The last update for TinyPassword was about 10 months ago. This developer has several other good apps, some of which were updated only days ago, so maybe these or other improvements have been made in a future update. I really like their "Planner Plus" (but the pay version is a little overpriced), their "TinyPDF", and a few others.
Best password Keeper out there!!🎉💥

I have used many password keepers. This is the best there is. With ease and convenience in mind. It allows you to keep up with everything in on place and make the modifications needed for any thing you could possible imagine. What else could you need? Five stars!! I have also upgraded phones three times and it flows over through the cloud flawlessly!!
Simple and easy

I tried several password managers before I decided to go with Tiny Password. I like that it is simple and clean. It is easy to use and easy to customize. You want something simple to get to your password quickly. I kept using it even when it didn’t have Touch ID because of other features and usability. Now that it has Touch ID I can’t imagine ever changing
Love the app!

I love TinyPassword and have been using it for a long time, probably 4+ years. I have recently had a disappointment in the slow loading/opening of TinyPassword and the pop up for the password or thump print, which is inconvenient but not bad. I really do love TinyPassword and have recommended it to several friends and family, some who also really like it as well.
The new design is beautiful & extremely user friendly. I have been a 1key user for years, with its small memory usage outweighing my dislike of the ui. This update has amazingly streamlined & beautified the interface while somehow staying very small (over 100 saved passwords & still uses under 20MB of phone storage)
Hopefully a future update will include the choice of a dark theme.
