NZB for iOS Reviews

Well worth the cost. There's no other app that can handle this app files like this. Great interface too.

Requests: please add an extension to allow user to choose NZB to send to. Also please consider adding background mode and push notifications to let user know when file download and uncompressed is complete. Finally please update interface for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

The only app I've found that actually downloads the contents for an this app and extracts it. Once downloaded, contents can opened or copied to other apps easily. The developer's par2 app is a nice accompaniment (and should honestly just be included considering it's free). I've extracted rar and zip successfully. *.z0... do not work however.

I was hesitant at first, but it worked like a charm and was able to extract no problem. Took a little time to figure out but got it working with no problems. Would be cool to have it updated a bit since I paid that nice price!

No frills Usenet binary downloader with a really weird music player anti-feature. You are forced to listen to a sound file while you download. The sound file has nothing to do with your download. It's so weird. The author just assumed (wrongly) that everyone would want a song to play while a download occurs. Starting a download starts the song playing. There is no way to turn it off other than to lower the volume.

While NZB seems great, four support requests later I have yet to find out how to actually extract a downloaded file successfully.

Kind of a shame that a powerful and unique app like this is crippled by something as mundane as not getting a response from the tech support email address. C'mon!

This is the only iOS app where you can download Usenet this app’s on iOS directly. The only problem is you can’t add any this app’s to NZB to download.

I wish the developer would come back and update.

This is the one app that can let me get what I want and load it into the applications I want. Using iPhone 6 plus 8.1.3

NZB works. It misses some rars sometimes and you have to re-download them and then it extracts. Also the export (open with) function should be updated to be more intuitive.

One of the kind app for iOS, nice work.

a) Test connection function on server page always fails.
b) Downloads never start.
c) Feature where it plays music while you download is stupid.

Emailed author a few days ago and there is no response yet.

Don’t waste your money. I’m going to try to get a refund.

It just straight up doesn't work. Don't waste your money. It's a ripoff.

App does not crash, but it does not download on iOS 14.

Does exactly what it says it will do. You can d/l a multi part .this app file to your iOS device. Then after the d/l is finished, you can join all of the sections back together into a working file. So far I've only done this with mp4 files. But after joining I was able to open up the joined file in an app that plays mp4 movie files. Pretty cool! I don't need to bring a laptop with me when I travel anymore. Highly recommended! Like someone else said in a previous review, it would be nice in a future update, if the developer could add parity set features.

I used this great app every day until I upgraded to iOS 8 and now it is totally worthless. Downloads the files, combines the parts etc., but when you try to open the file, NZB crashes. I used to be able to upload the downloaded file to Dropbox but now it crashes before it gets far enough to choose. I hope this gets fixed soon because I loved NZB up until now.

I have not been disappointed. Downloaded loads of files with no issues. The one feature which NZB needs is Par2 recovery.

Fantastic app, have had 0 issues so far.
Speeds are bit slower than on the Mac, but not by much. Highly recommended!
