There’s a question in the practice test that is obviously a political message:
The paraphrased question follows:
“What is a right of every US Citizen?”
The “correct” answer, according to USCitizenshipTest2025Plus , is “the right to own a firearm,” or something to that effect.
I find it outrageous, egregious, and preposterous that the creators of USCitizenshipTest2025Plus would attempt to inculcate this obviously political message into the minds of new would-be citizens.
Regardless of the most recent Supreme Court ruling in that subject, this is still a very contentious issue.
It’s also obvious that this is an unseemly and shameless attempt at “messaging” — at a not quite subliminal level.
I throw the BS card and respectfully request that the question — or at least that answer — be expunged from the test. There are plenty of other answers that can be used for that answer: How about “equal protection under the law” (14th amendment” or the right “against self incrimination” (5th amendment) or why not start at the top: i.e. The right to free speech or the right to peaceably assemble and petition the Government for a redress of grievances???” (1st amendment), just to name a few. Those examples are not even remotely in dispute, as is the right of every person to own a firearm...
Is USCitizenshipTest2025Plus funded by the NRA???
