🏷️ About:
OrNET Browser is the best FREE app featuring a high performance TOR powered browser. OrNET Browser has been engineered on the latest technology of tor network which has been designed for faster and more secure access to Tor network.
I accidentally downloaded pressing Touch ID when I was re-routed from another app homepage and seeing this as a 17+ site it should have sent a warning before downloading but didn’t which is concerning. I did explore OrNET for a few minutes to check out this whole “privacy anonymity thing” but I accidentally got re-routed to an onion site (luckily it was just the one for DuckDuckGo I think/hope as it did not fully load) which is not what I wanted. When I opened up my regular web-browser app (which is also DuckDuckGo) I had a notification saying “you cannot enter into this onion site”. This was very concerning as I had only entered into OrNET briefly just to check out if it was what it was and I somehow got it into ANOTHER app. I deleted and re-downloaded OrNET to double check as I was panicking and I am pretty sure it was just DuckDuckGo but I honestly am very shocked and am NEVER downloading again. Confused and alarmed.
Great the first day

The first day I used this, it only occasionally had an ad pop up which I could promptly close. The little circle with the present box, it can be moved around the screen so it was ignorable. The second day I used it, everything I clicked on brought up a 30 second ad, and once the ad was over, The small x to close it was nonresponsive, so I had to hit it about 30 times before the ad closed. Then I would click on something else and once again another 30 second ad. I will never ever use this again. What are you thinking? "Oh they didn't click on an ad the first day so I'm going to barrage them with nonstop ads that last 30 seconds and are extremely hard to close, that'll get people to buy things!" No! What you did is you just lost a user, and you will continue to lose them until you smarten up! I hate this new direction that companies are going in, that think that if people are just annoyed enough they'll buy the thing that is being advertised. Advertisements like this don't work! If anything, it creates contempt toward the advertiser! Not only will I not buy anything advertised, I will get rid of OrNET generating the ads! I'd end this with an well deserved profanity, but I think you get the point.
Unusable, and took my money???

Listen, I NEVER write reviews. Ever. But OrNET is absolutely garbage, and I'm so disappointed. I signed up with the impression I was getting a free trial as it says in OrNET , but it charges me $3.99. Fine, okay, whatever. But then it doesn't recognize that I paid for the subscription, and offers me a free trial. Fine, I take the bait, transaction goes through.
Still adds, still not recognizing I should have a subscription. The same free trial ad pops up, I try and click it one more time just to see, maybe third time's the charm and all, but surpise it actually tells me I have the subscription already! But my app is still full of ads, even with force quitting multiple times and trying the Restore button!
Can't use OrNET without the subscription because the present box icon is non-deletable, and the ads pop up every 30 seconds!! An absolute trash fire.
Very well put review

OrNET serves its purpose (considering there is no Orbot or Orfox for iOS), however the constant intrusive Ads are extremely frustrating. I understand the desire to profit from ones work, but not to the extent of aggravating customers. If there were alternatives I would surely investigate them. If your ok with ‘2 second Ads’ over the entire GUI (until you ‘X’ out) popping up about every 20-30 seconds, then you can handle OrNET.
But quality is profitable, so the bombardment of Ads leads me to believe the author is desperate, and simply through together something that worked instead of focusing on Tor’s ultimate purpose (anonymity). So it’s probably not a very secure at all.
Edit: Although OrNET serves its purpose you will get a frustrating and disruptive ad ever 10-15 seconds. It will stop your page browsing and stop you from typing anything your typing. It’s an extreme level of forced ads (every 20 seconds? need pennies that bad?).
on these ratings. Less than a minute after installing, I am being prompted for a review. I haven’t even figured out how to start the (bleep) app or move around yet. Two stars docked for (bleep) (bleep) ads every 1m 22s while trying to figure out OrNET and the settings. That is within the first 10 min. I use ad blockers for a reason. I never ever click on ads, and showing me a vpn ad is a waste of resources. I will do my own research on the vpn I use. Another item...the stupid ad kept my device awake. lucky I wasn’t gone for too long after the sleep time had passed. I might come back and update this review after playing with the program a bit. Hint-don’t annoy people, especially my types, as I guarantee, the rating will be lower. If you have a good product, people will come without having to resort to trickery. Some of us will even pay for a good product. Imagine that!
Similar to Windows, less functionality so far

The look and feel is similar to that I have on windows. However, the startup page says this is not a tor browser, which I think has to do with iOS devices not being supported yet. I get a lot of 403 forbidden errors and captcha pages when trying to access websites. These along with the ads every few seconds is pretty annoying. Sites also load slow, might be something to address in a future update.
The .onion sites don’t seem to be accessible with this browser either. The privacy part I think is good though not positive if it works as expected with not using OrNET for to long yet. We shall see how this pans out after more time using it. I have to say that this review was sparked by the offer of a free upgrade for leaving it so we’ll see.
Works pretty well

Minus the adds popping up every 30 seconds ( no exaggeration maybe even less than 30 seconds) which makes the free user experience basically worthless due to the length it takes to load a page on the tor browser to begin with, so before you even get to the page you are hit with the same add sometimes 2-3 times or instantly when the page loads. The time in between needs to be lengthened for anyone to even see how good of a service you provide so that they want to buy the pro version. I almost gave up, finally this opportunity to review and get pro for free popped up, thankfully because I was ready to throw my phone from being hit with so many ads, and at that, the same ad 25 times every 30 seconds, more than annoying almost seemed to me like you don’t want anyone to use OrNET it honestly was a horrible user experience and frustrating although it works well the ads are just too much to handle on top of waiting for Tors slow loading browser

I’ll just call this one the Purple Onion Browser, even though a number of Tor clients have a purple icon. This is another option, and is a bit more feature-rich than some other Tor browsers. It defaults to DuckDuckGo for its search engine, which is good, and allows you to quickly change your identify, if you need to. Secret Secure Web Browser seems a bit faster than other options, but still not as quick as connecting through my VPN and using Safari. Yet again, another Tor browser that shows being infected with some sort of Trojan, and thus blacklisted. Secret Secure Web Browser is, in my estimation, a four out of five. I’ve tried a number of other Tor browser clients, and the experience was always the same. Browsing was fine, but slow. For my own purposes, I’m going to stick with my VPN connection and use DuckDuckGo for my search engine. That prevents both my internet service provider from tracking me, as well as my search engine. That’s private enough, don’t you think?
Great app but...

I love OrNET . Thank you to the developers for such a well functioning application. My son told me about this and explained everything to me. I have paid for the subscription twice now and I’m not complaining about that. OrNET has value. However, I just got a new phone and it wasn’t connecting. My son told me that it needed to be configured to this new phone. So I paid for another subscription. It seems to be functioning fine now as it is showing status that the service you provide within the this app browser is connected. Even though I subscribed. It’s not allowing me to optimize for performance. I can’t even get to that screen. It’s only opening up the “browser” screen. Please help. Again, the application status is connected but I can’t optimize for performance like before.
I gotta say, I leave very very few reviews. OrNET offers free Pro upgrade for leaving a review, and it doesn’t have to be positive of course, so I am giving my honest opinion here. The browser is fast, it takes about 10-20 seconds tops to connect, but once connected, it’s impressively fast. Look no further, the other tor browser in OrNET Store sells you their vpn service. I use express vpn and I also recommend that. You can connect any three devices at the same time. And install it on as many as you’d like. And if you get a compatible router and configure it, or the one they sell pre configured there is no limit. And I am not getting any monies from anyone for these opinions, I just love their products and services, I don’t know which category this would fall under, but it earned its 5 stars...
Good app

Tor is a great way to maintain privacy and browse the web. Should be standard on electronic devices! I’ve heard it’s not safe to use some personal information while using Tor though, so be careful when using it. Probably not your go to browser for Facebook and even if it’s safe to use social media that could probably defeat the purpose of anonymity.
Tor uses tech that works better when more people are browsing through it, so make sure to recommend OrNET to your friends, coworkers, family, acquaintances, etc.
Only complaint is that sometimes it is a little slow. This is to be expected - so this browser should not be your go to if you need to do work that requires a fast internet connection.
Protecting your 4th Amendment with Tor browser

As most of you know, within the Bill of Rights (U.S.), is the 4th Amendment. This Bill of Right was written to secure your person, your house, your papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures. In the original, our founding fathers had the foresight to permit this process under the process of a Warrant, supported upon probable cause. However, since the development of the internet, our home’s thresholds no longer are protected. This means that any of your data, be it financial or your personal thoughts are vulnerable to hacking from individuals or governments. The Tor browser is a tool that can aid in protecting your privacy. I would highly recommend to download OrNET on all your devices and computers.

In this technology advanced time in our lives, where big government, big business and a completely biased society that gives themselves over to mainstream propaganda in both our political habit to put our head in the sand and then treat ourselves to some cosmetic/retail therapy; having no regard for the fact our very move is being controlled and manipulated for the purpose of distraction while the government takes away you rights right under our noses,. Peer to peer TOR eliminates this to a large degree allowing us to experience our fundamentals and freedoms given is by our forefathers ... it’s not perfect but it is a tool to be utilized in delivering the message we our independent and prefer to stay that way..

I’ve been using the TOR browser on my iMac for a few years now and have been very happy with it’s performance and anonymity. Until now I haven’t been able to find a TOR browser app for my iPad that looks like or work as good as the desktop browser from the TOR website. But now my search is over. OrNET works very well and very easy to use. It’s simple to change the TOR routing and IP address. On some of the TOR browser apps I’ve tried, it wasn’t very intuitive. Search is relatively quick for TOR and it seems like it comes up with more results than some others. And to be honest, who can complain about the free upgrade when writing a review. Thanks for a nice app!
I am not interested in having each keystroke or each website visited, added to a pool of data trying to figure out what crap to advertise to me.
I find myself always coming back to this browser. The interface is clear, the connection is quick, & compared to all of the other TOR browsers I have worked with, this one is consistently reliable. The best ability of any tool, is availability & this browser is always available. I have “tried” to use other TOR browsers, that are unable to confirm they are active.
Try this one first or try this one last, this is the TOR browser that will become your favorite tool.
