TriNet Mobile Reviews

TriNet is amazing as explains the title. However, the time and attendance feature is not there. When I work and I have a busy night in the lab all gowned and wearing sterile personal protective equipment, I’m not able to do my attendance sheet until I leave the suite. If that feature was available, I could do my time and attendance sheet right on my phone over the sterile sleeves we used to avoid contaminant our gloves and sleeves.
Other than that, TriNet works great and haven’t had any issue in regard to navigating it or using its native features. If the time and attendance feature becomes available, TriNet will surely be the best (and earn my 5 stars) as it currently has more features than similar apps used by companies to log work times and breaks.

Effective app for what it offers but without a clock-in and out option it is not at all mobile friendly. Access to a desktop is still needed— option to access site through phone is a hassle.

Must add this feature!

TriNet is unusable. I’m not sure why it’s taking up space on my device. For example, I cannot log in after I get a paycheck. There is some absurd acknowledgment I have to acknowledge (the same thing every time) and I can only do that through the website, not TriNet . Another example, lately when I try to log in I just get “Oops. Something went wrong.” No other explanation. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it is the same. This is just the stuff that is supposed to work. There are also numerous functions of the website that they don’t even try to replicate in TriNet so it would be very limiting if it it did work.

this app will deny ever FSA claim of yours and you will have to call support to get them approved. They have mailed my checks to the wrong address, they have said my receipts are inaccurate until I showed them how to read, they are hands-down the worst company I have had manage my FSA claims. They don't own a filing cabinet as you need to tell them every time you have a doctor's letter for something FSA covers.

Lastly, they automate your claims and auto-deny them so you have to call in. They have told me many times "oh, our system auto denied your claim, sorry". They save on human labor and pass the lost time to you.

TriNet works good. This year we started getting a policy acknowledgment. The same policy over and over. We can’t do this from TriNet . It has to be done from the web site. Since we are getting this every time I need to do anything with this app I have to go to the website first. I take care of what I need there. Add policy acknowledgment and I won’t have to go to the website. We can then go to TriNet first.

I’m on my 10th attempt to submit this. All nicknames are taken.

TriNet is great in regards to functionality. I can view the times off my pay, my benefits all from TriNet .

2 big bummers for me that should be addressed. First, TriNet even though it implements Face ID it is not designed for the iPhone X in terms of layout which makes no sense. You implemented Face ID (iPhone X only feature) but fail to make TriNet look right.
Second bummer is that you can’t go to this app marketplace through TriNet . Even if it’s just a hyperlink implementing SSO that would be helpful. Instead you are forcing people to use a mobile website (which isn’t much better) than TriNet you tout.

If they fix those 2 things it would be a great app. So far it just falls short from a mobile perspective.

It’s great being able to see your paystub history. The thing is, I’m a contractor, and I can’t use most of the features of TriNet . I downloaded it because I thought I could enter my hours worked with a clocked-in type function. Now that I see that I can’t, it really isn’t that beneficial to have on my phone. I can tell your responses to these reviews are just bots. Anyway, I don’t expect a change in the near future if you haven’t changed it already.

As the title indicates TriNet works well with the features included but is sorely missing a good opportunity to include the time feature, since trinets website works poorly with iOS safari. If you guys could include the "time" option to clock in and out it would take a great deal of hassle away from the experience of using this system.

Once this is included into TriNet I'll change my rating appropriately.

Please add the time feature!

When uploading files or images by selecting from my phone’s gallery, I am able to see my files on my phone, but once I tap on any item, I’m unable to accept or reject the selection because it automatically uploads at which point I am unable to delete my accidental selection.

Please fix this by adding a notification to confirm upload.

The updates under My Updates don’t always load the text! This was from right after I signed up. Also it’s a bit weird that you can’t see those same updates in the website, so now I have nowhere to read them.

I’m really liking this app overall though. Love how we get to select our medical plan from a range of choices.

TriNet itself works well…if you can get properly logged in. Like other reviewers, I just get a white screen when I try to verify my identity. The website works fine. Developers, please fix the login issues so we can actually use the mobile app.

EDIT: I sent debug logs to the developer email requested over two weeks ago. No reply has been received even to acknowledge that they received my information. I have no faith TriNet will ever be fixed.

Such a convenient business app. I love being able to submit and approve time off and expenses from my phone. It’s also great having insurance cards on my phone — no more keeping track of the physical cards.

I highly recommend the this app Mobile app!!

New to this app but already noticing issues and mispellings on website and app.

One is the in-app notifications. I’ll get an alert for a notice and in the in-app notifications list, it lists notices sometimes with previews cut-off and when you click onto a notice to read more, some of the notices are completely blank despite having preview text. These this app messages generally about holidays/closures.

TriNet is useless. Every time you try to log on I get a message saying that I have to go to the website to acknowledge a policy document. Every time it is the same document. I acknowledge it every time and then I can sign on to TriNet . What’s the purpose of TriNet ? Once I go to the website to acknowledge the document, I can then do whatever I wanted to do in the platform, then I don’t need TriNet . Very frustrating because TriNet is useless. Deleted it.

EDIT TO RESPONSE: No I don’t want to turn off notifications, I WANT company notifications. I just want this app to stop saying there is a “Company Notification” to spam me about this app crap

Since the redesign TriNet insists on sending notifications of “Company Announcement” with the title of my company, which are actually just this app announcements spam about random things in TriNet I don’t care about.

Please stop making it seem that my company has some big HR announcement just to tell me your devs moved the buttons around again.

Using the this app app on my iPad Pro allows me to see the info I need when I am away from my PC. It has good, easy to understand information and I haven’t seen anything that could be considered a defect. Good job developers!

Much better than their horrendous web app, but as always this app doesn’t seem to understand (or perhaps prioritize) the user experience. Just finding where to go to approve a PTO request is a journey I have to repeat every time. And of course TriNet still doesn’t fit the new iPhone X screen resolution a year later.

TriNet is overall amazing and convenient, however not having a clock-in or clock-out makes it overwhelming b/c you have to login on the web to do that! It would be so much helpful if the team can update and add that option 🙂

I like using TriNet to check my payroll history and paychecks. I am unable to see my accrued time off and unable to manage my time off request and approvals. I don’t understand why the advertisement for TriNet says one thing and the actual app doesn’t do those things. Help.

I can not login with iOS 13.2.2. I can login fine on the website but not on TriNet. Contacted support and they REFUSED to acknowledge any issue with their app and just kept blaming my phone as the cause. The support person even said that my OTHER APPS were causing problems with the this app app not logging in?!?!? You better hope TriNet works for you, otherwise don’t bother contacting support because they just blame you and waste your time.

Latest version update is now showing a long list of to-do’s that are already complete long ago and tapping any opens a page with an endless spinner. Deleting and reinstalling TriNet does not resolve it. Also, colors of planned and taken PTO were changed in this version and are practically identical to anyone who is red-green color blind.

Love this! So helpful for seeing the breakdown of my paychecks...the status of expense checks...my PTO..and I love having my benefits info, including my insurance card with me at all times! Thank you!!!

My husband has had nothing but problems with TriNet. Has called several times to fix to no avail. Even though he wants to give me (his spouse) access to his account. They will not allow it. I am the one that does finances at home. He has never encountered this with any other company. There has always been access for the spouse with his ok. Employers I would think twice about this company with this particular policy.

I have a iPhone 7+ , i tried saving my bank account info for direct deposit , it wouldn’t go thru. Instead you have to go on the actual site to do so . I rate it 3 stars due to functionalities not being there when needed . Needs updates ❗️

TriNet is very similar to the web app version. But they’ve removed things like viewing/printing a pdf version of a pay stub. Which would be very helpful for record keeping. Please add it in!

this app has added management functions which is very helpful. Timeoff approval, paycheck, benefits card. I use this 90% of the time over the website. Big improvement.

Love the redesign. It’s much faster and provides greater details on benefits. I like that I can view everything I need, paychecks, benefit cards, direct deposit information, W2s and view and request PTO. Great app!
