Trash app from one of the biggest banks in Dominican Republic. Every time they update it you can’t access your account for almost a week. I’ve had to re-download BancoPopularDominicano over 6 times in the past 3 weeks, made a complaint to the bank, called customer service and I still can’t use BancoPopularDominicano .

BancoPopularDominicano does not work, and will never work correctly because it is simply abysmal in how it’s “supposed to work.” For starters, the stupid app requires you to take a picture of your fingers to collect fingerprint data. There isn’t a single reliable biometric sensor on planet earth that does not require direct physical contact with the sensor, and a smartphone camera needs a macro lens to see that level of detail, which most phones do not have (except the really expensive high end ones). Secondly, you cannot make an account because the form just errors out with no explanation of what was wrong. The form validation for entering account information, which is required to progress through to make your account, does not validate correctly because the state machine of the form is incorrect and does not update when you enter the data for your ID or Passport. There is also no option to view your password after you’ve typed it in, which also seem to have arbitrary validation happening that also does not have a proper state machine. Literally every aspect of this stupid app is amateur hour. A college student could put together a more reliable, functional app as a project than this allegedly large bank. Don’t waste your time and just go in person. I would never trust BancoPopularDominicano with my personal information… and I’m debating whether I should have trusted the bank itself, seeing how poorly engineered this system is.

App crashes and misbehave all the time. There’ isn’t any easy/reliable place to report bugs and follow up with status of them.
No able to use the digital card linked to account because of the design of BancoPopularDominicano do not allow it, there a tools bar blocking the cvv. That’s Ridiculous!
The fingerprint collection is ridicules. Why do you I need to give my fingerprints to access an app? And even though i didn't agree with that still try it, It kept saying photo insufficient. Could not get access to my account through BancoPopularDominicano .
This application works 15% of the times for me. It’s sad to know that such huge bank has incompetent developers.
I try to pay my credit card and it says it was unsuccessful, when I try again it charges the same amount twice plus it doesn’t immediately appear as paid, so I have wait until the next day to be able to use it.
The apps works fine but I had a very bad experience when I upgraded to a new phone.
If for some reason BancoPopularDominicano could not complete the process to setup the token, you will have to go in person to a branch and fix. I was out of Dom Rep and needed the token... After a call and many emails, the solution from the bank, almost two months later, was to go in person.
For some reason an update came and I was able to setup my token with no problem. I wish there was a better solution for this scenario.

The worst thing that you can do is to link your token to the mobile app. Everything was working fine until I did that. One day, I had to update BancoPopularDominicano and now I don’t have access to my internet banking because my token was deactivated when it linked to the digital version in BancoPopularDominicano . I don’t live in Dominican Republic and they say I have to go to an office to get a new token... More than a month has passed and I can’t make transactions or confirm how much money I have left because of that. Seriously, the worst ever!

It doesn’t matter how many things I tried, transfer never works.
Sometimes BancoPopularDominicano kick you out and block you. If you are out of the Dominican Republic it is difficult to get your access back. Needs a lot of improvements.
The incompetent development team forgot that hardware changes may alter focus distance such that necessitates manual focus adjustment implemented in camera fingerprint verification system workflow. But can’t say I expected such obvious things to NOT be overlooked.
