JSS Food Delivery Reviews

I just ordered this evening with their “new and improved” APP. As another reviewer mentioned the wait time stated 40-50 minutes and it took almost 1.5 hour. I went to their app and did an online chat to find out why the delay and status of my order since the track function knocks you off JSSFoodDelivery , and I received no response from them. To add insult when the food did arrive it was completely cold! If they wish to keep their expat customers happy it would be nice to have a customer service team that will actually work with you on the issue at hand. I will give them one more try and if still bad service I’ll have to use another delivery service. A true shame!!!

I’ve been using this service since I moved to Beijing. There will normally be problems in this industry, but the way a business responds is what sets them apart. This business has failed each time and every time. Moreover, their apathetic tone when asked to make it right is most insulting of all.
Recently, they forgot my sodas and when I called to inquire, they told me “it will take a really long time to bring you the sodas”. I’ve grown tired of their mediocrity and apathy. They quote wait times of 40 to 50 minutes, but it’s more like 90 to 120. Maybe they have no self respect or incentive to do a job well.

The suggested wait time is a total lie. You wait much longer, my food delivery man came holding my pizza like it’s was books under his arm. It was smashed and ruined; and there was no apology!
When I finally got ahold of customer service, they only offered me a ‘sorry’ and a waive of ¥15 from delivery. I paid ¥143 for a pile of pizza.
Never ever again!
At least Sherpa will do whatever they can to remedy the problem.

Not worth the hassle. It’s great because everything is English and you can order from far places HOWEVER almost every time I order the delivery drivers are lost or take 2 hours to deliver food when it would normally take 30-40 minutes. It’s weird because my address is not complicated and it is written in Chinese. My location is on a Main Street and an east to find street so I never understand why they always have a problem. Meituan driver never and I mean never have a problem finding the address so be prepared to call, chase down and wait in the cold for food 😕

JSS is good relative to most food apps in Shanghai. The service is faster and you get the food hot.

However, please stop using push notifications to spam whatever deal or promotion you have.

I want to get push notifications from your app when my food is out for delivery. I don’t want to get push notifications that you have lemon and onions on discount at 10am on a random Wednesday.

It’s incredibly rude to your customers. Just because I have notifications enabled for JSS so I can get updates on my order doesn’t mean I want my push notifications to be used for advertising.

As an expat I have been using JSS since I started living here and I have been encouraged by the improvements they have made lately including JSS gourmet. Saves me some time. I have had occasions where the service was slow but I know that happens with different restaurants they work with. But the real indicator as to why I like this service was once I had a problem with one of the deliveries. I wrote a complaint about it and they went out of their way to make it right. They compensated me with a red card for my trouble and called me a week after to make sure I was satisfied. Very professional. So I recommend JSS. It is a valued service.

I love JSS, whenever I don’t feel like cooking a meal after work I can order food and have it delivered.    ‍   

Due to the wrong address, the delivery was late. However, the service center was incredibly helpful and got the food to me.

Got the premier Card. Pretty sure it has paid for itself more than 2 times this month.       ‍

Quick prompt service. Would like to order a lot more vegetables off you but the options are limited.

I would like you to know that it was very difficult for me to get my food. The delivery man would not give it to me. And when I called JSS back, no one was able to help me

I enjoy this service. Unfortunately the times I use it I get continual “oops something went wrong” maybe too many users flooding at one time.       

Horrible delivery service. Customer support calling instead of the delivery person, asking me to go downstairs because the delivery person cannot come upstairs for some reason. Me and my broken leg went downstairs to find nobody there. After 15 minutes and 3 calls it turns out the delivery person can make it upstairs after all. Never ordering from you again.

Not perfect but gets the job done and seems like theyre regularly adding new features.   ​​

great food but prices have gone up and delivery fee is ridiculously high. I am reluctant to order from this restaurant again unless they adjust their pricing.
