BorrowBox Library Status

Hi, recently if I try to reopen an audiobook that I've been listening to earlier after midnight it will not play and the buffering symbol just goes around. The only way I have found to overcome this is to reboot my phone following which it will open as normal.

As of yesterday, all audiobooks are stopping at the end of each chapter and need manually restarting

Borrowbox froze so I uninstalled it / re installed it - now it stuck trying to load the terms and conditions to sign in.....I was part way through a good book ;( very frustrated...and I'm a librarian having to recommend this app for our library!

Stuck on loading.I press the green round arrow and it won't play.So frustrating,have vision loss after accident.I need my borrowbox!

I have not received the email download link yet the load period already started. I need the email link please so I can install on my kobo reader

Borrowbox often starts to play when I have used the voice message on WhatsApp. Especially if I use the voice message with Siri. When I get a voice message on WhatsApp or telegram, then Borrowbox starts playing.

I have accidentally pressed the search button whilst reading a downloaded book and now cannot back to the book. I am using a ten year old iPad and am a member via Brighton and Hove library services........

My audiobooks have worked excellently till now but this one has frozen and won’t continue to play. Any suggestions?

Audio books keep stopping after a few minutes regardless of whether the sleep function is used or not. Android 11

Haven't looked before on this site but would like to state how inferior Borrowbox is compared to the previous company that my library used, especially when searching for books by author.

Audio book. Yesterday - even when I had my earphones in, the reading of the book could be heard in the room. It hasn’t happened in the two years I have been using BorrowBox. Has anyone else had this problem?

Bookmarks not working properly— I bookmark page but when I come back it goes to an earlier page, not correct page. Can be hundreds of pages out.

Book downloaded but now at a standstill “loading book”.

Since North Yorkshire libraries changed to BorrowBox I have been very pleased with it until yesterday when I tried to open the book I'm reading. It just will not open! Constantly loading but getting nowhere! Please can someone sort this out because apparently I'm not the only person who is complaining. Not impressed 😤😤

Using an Android tab, Borrowbox takes around 5 minutes "counting pages". My ancient, fourth hand Apple iPad took no noticeable time

Use BorrowBox on mini iPad 3. Have had the odd problem before which seems to sort itself, with or without help, eventually. Latest is Restore Progress saying there’s an error with it. If I press cancel or restore it still won’t go the page I’ve read to. Turned iPad off and on again. Still won’t play fair. That’s on my current read. New book loaded at 1 this morning and 14 hours later I’m still waiting for page numbers to come up. It’s been scrolling for 14 hours! With both books I have no idea what page I’m on!

The sleep function has stopped working. Have used this app every day for years and never had this issue before.

Hi, the sleep timer stopped working a week or so ago and the play/pause feature isn't working properly - any suggestions?

My loans are not out of date but the audio keeps stopping. Should I just reload the app? I was worried my loans and reservations would be cancelled if I reloaded the app? Thanks

The sleep.function is not working, it sets, but doesn't switch off, very inconvenient as I listen at night and usually set 10m as I drop off to sleep while listening and it keeps playing all-night

Keeps freezing when front screen closes.

Hey there, Audiobooks: The sleep function has stopped working after the latest update (keeps going all night) and stability is worse. Suggestions: Would also appreciate a bookmark function for audiobooks plus the option to listen at 80, 85 and 90 percent speed. I struggle with audio processing but a 25% drop from 100 to 75% is a bit too slow. Thank you, Gillian

Audio book sound cuts out , then in.

Sleep timer not working on audio books. And keeps restarting chapter or starting next chapter when I press pause. Also pausing and playing when I just press pause. Noticed yesterday, still doing it today

Audio books keep stopping every few minutes. Never had this issue before. Sleep timer seems to not be working either which is annoying as I like to fall asleep listening to a book.
