8 months agoI use Borrowbox with Warrington Libraries (Livewire). Because I use a Kobo reader I cannot renew the loan from the Kobo. I have to download the book again and so all my bookmarks are lost. This is a major fault with Borrowbox. I have tried persuading the library service to go back to Libby or Overdrive which both permitted refreshing the loan details on the Kobo but to no avail. I can't imagine I'm the only person who fids this so frustrating that I'm considering giving up and trying to register with a different Library to get away from Borrowbox. How long will it be before you allow users to update from their reader rather than having to go on the computer and start again from scratch.

9 months agoI, use borrow box on kindle fire it stopped working half way through a book and information said no longer available on for kindle . When will I be able to get this app on kindle as am disabled and find it really a great 👍help. Thanks.

10 months agoI'm having the same issue as another user, the audiobook feature when on sleep timer ends at the end of every chapter instead of continuing to play until the end of the timer. It previously worked fine but since about one day ago has stopped working properly. It displays as 1 second or two seconds left in chapter and just freezes there. Most frustrating as I use the audiobooks to fall asleep to, now it keeps me awake having to keep opening the app to move the chapters on!

1 year agoHi I live in Dorset England and at the moment today's date I'm unable to download anything nothing is responding to my clicks is there a problem with BorrowBox or could it be on my side thank you for your help.

1 year agoI have downloaded a book - "61 Hours" by Lee Child but unable to open it as now showing "Counting Pages"and "Loading Chapter". I am with Live Argyll. Ref. No. 24115 000047124. Can you help me?

1 year agoI am unable to download file for ereader (Adobe ePub) so that I can load to a Kindle using the Caliber App. on a Mac. Have been using successfully for several years but now the URLLink.acsm file is not fully downloading to computer.

2 years agoI was in the middle of an audio book when it suddenly stopped , so very disappointing only heard about half of it! The name of book is Someone we know. It was brilliant to have borrow box all through covid and I am really grateful. Phil

Waste of time for small town
Apparently there isn’t a way to use this app without your library information. I live in a small town of 6k, therefore my library isn’t in the selection. Deleting the app after this review. I will just continue to use my library’s online service and the subscription service from Scribd. Toodles. Update: Customer Service quickly responded to my question. I didn’t get the answer I wanted, but it was the one I figured I’d get. This APP is only for members of libraries affiliated with Borrow Box. It’s a shame... due to this, it is nearly certain small towners won’t have the ‘privilege’ to use the app. I’d give it a 0 if there was one... as it serves no purpose for me... but only a waste of my time.

Horrible app
This is absolutely horrible Ita almost impossible to actually read a book or listen to an audiobook because its reserved or on loan which makes absolutely no sense because i mean its online so there should be copys I searched up about 20 books a few hours ago and only 1 of them was free and i just tried to read it but its now saying that i returned the book and now i have to wait until the fourth of October to read it This is absolutely ridiculous

Despite being in the American App Store this only shows libraries in the U.K. which is useless if you don’t live there.
