Dark Mode?

Useless

Every time I get a notification for a chat I click on it and it says the user has left the chat. Sometimes it will show up minutes later after a full app restart. Another job well done Zendesk.

Unreliable app

We use this to communicate with ours clients. ZendeskChat always deletes the previous text when we switch window to another chore . It is frustrating to rewrite and can’t copy client information. Please improve your errors!

Very slow

By far the slowest customer chat app I have ever used. I just have to use it now as our company uses Zendesk as whole package. But i hope app developers can work on this to make it better.

Annoying notifications

ZendeskChat continues to alert you that you're offline outside of business hours and on weekends. Additionally, app won't keep you connected/online.

Links don’t work in user navigation

Links aren’t clickable anymore in the user navigation. I have to copy and paste now to see where the user is. Fix this!

Excellent and much improved

I've been an avid user of the Zopim software for many, many years. The web application has had issues throughout the years and I can confidently say that it's almost flawless now. It's an integral part of our business

ZendeskChat has unfortunately been less reliable. They've come out with an update now to fix the mobile apps connection issues and I believe that's a huge step in the right direction. I've seen it improve.

A few months ago we were considering having to leave bc of those issues (you think it's running in the background but customers are trying to chat with you and you're unaware of it). It was the first time we thought about leaving and then they came out with an update that gave it a huge jump in reliability.

Mobile is the most import aspect of almost everyone's business now and I'm glad to see they're putting more time into the mobile application. I give this a 4 star for excellence but hope the last little connectivity issues get resolved.

Nice starting point, but not a full featured mobile chat client

I love the simplicity of Zopim’s live chat widget; it was incredibly easy to set-up and works beautifully. My suggestion with ZendeskChat is to build some sort of auto login/logout settings. I’d like to be notified on my phone/ipad when a new chat starts, but I wish it would sign-out each night at a set time, and log me back in the next morning at a set time. Obviously iOS privacy settings can control the do-not-disturb times, but I’d rather have ZendeskChat control this so my website shows that I’m unavailable.
I’m still testing the push notifications feature (others have complained that they don’t always work), but so far, I get push updates immediately, even when ZendeskChat is fully quit! I just have to be logged-in (fully quitting ZendeskChat doesn’t log you out by default).
Great app and great service! I look forward to more iOS updates down the road. In the mean time, I’ll be recommending this to everyone.

Very Disappointing

ZenDesk Chat/Zopim is such a great tool. The desktop dashboard works great and we love it. But, we travel a lot so ZendeskChat is critical to how we use the software. ZendeskChat is terrible. I typically launch ZendeskChat as I leave the office and it will work for a little while. Then at some point I'll realize "I haven't heard a notification in a while". Lo and behold it's because ZendeskChat has logged me out... who knows when. It's constantly logging us out of ZendeskChat without any way to know this has happened except to launch ZendeskChat again. We've missed countless chats like this due to the triggers not firing while we are logged out. I've turned to obsessively checking ZendeskChat on my phone to make sure I'm still logged in. Outrageous. Obviously this is a critical point to using ZendeskChat , so I can't understand why the developers haven't fixed whatever it is that makes this happen.

love this app!

ok so when i first opened ZendeskChat i had a hard time logging in so i thought it was a piece of "waste of time". then one day the option appeared on ZendeskChat that said "log in with your Support Account" as opposed to only a chat account i am assuming. then after i logged in with my support account ZendeskChat has worked amazingly and is in real time. so convenient for those that have have a small staff of 1 and still want to provide amazing customer service without being tied to a computer. I always have my phone on me so i can respond to users on my site when ever i choose. LOVE ZendeskChat!

Please fix this

Everytime I login to the website dash port I see I have missed live chat requests. The iphone app however does not even ring, I am constantly getting push notifications of new visitors but when they try to initiate a chat I don't get a notification. Absolutely defeats the whole per pose of ZendeskChat . I actually had one chat request come in but it beeps once and that's it. Make the notification LONGER like other third party SMS services that actually rings constantly or at least more than one or two rapid beeps and that's it.

Right now the only thing it's good for is seeing the active visitors on the site.

ZendeskChat and company has great potential but unfortunately without a much needed update its not worth it. I am going to cancel my service and go with alivechat or another provider that offers better iOS support

This App is useless

First off as others have stated, visitor and chat notification are not reliable. Now the fact that I can't login because the login button is not recognized, unbelievable. What kind of amateur developers do you have that you can't push an update to allow users to at least be able to login. The devs and support team are aware of both issues and the answer I received more than 3 months ago was a new app update was coming sometime in 2015..

Update- The new update that just came in Feb 2015, with "improved login logic" does NOTHING. Exact same issue. Can't login. No response from the login button whatsoever.

UPDATE 6/7/15- So I bought the iPhone 6+ updated to the most current OS, and ZendeskChat actually worked ....for about a week. This is such a crap app these people have no clue what they're doing. Scrap ZendeskChat and start over. HORRIBLE!

Amazing (rare review)

Rarely do I rate apps in any App Store. Not because I don't think a lot of the apps I use aren't amazing but because I just don't put the time into writing thinking it may not get read.

But this is the exception. Even if it is not read I have to share how amazing the web app and its accompanying iPhone app are. I am astonished how it just works. Not complicated at all. Instant... and I mean instant notifications on the website when I switch statuses.

It is just a phenomenal product. My hats off to the Zopim team!

Can't login after I updated to iOS8

I used ZendeskChat all the time. It wasn't perfect but it did what I needed it to do which was enable me to get away from my desk and yet still manage incoming chat sessions from my website remotely on my iPhone. After I updated to iOS8, I could no longer log into ZendeskChat . The login button doesn't do anything once you've entered you correct user name and password. Weird thing is that if you put in nothing or something incorrect, the login button works and tells you what is wrong. But with the correct information, nothing happens when you tap the login button. I gave this information to Zopim support and the next day there was an update in iTunes but it still didn't work. Amazing that Zopim can't get something like this fixed. It works on my other device that is on iOS6, just not iOS8.

Swipe right to go back to main screen

ZendeskChat is pretty good and improvements are showing, looks great on iPhone X.
The one major issue I have which reduced to 3 stars is the swipe right, all it does is bring out the settings panel which is mostly useless.
When using ZendeskChat on iPhone X and either viewing customer info or in the chat, the only way to go back to the previous screen is to tap the arrow that's on the top left corner, which is literally the farthest place to stretch my thumb to, if you can only have a swipe right option that bring up the previous screen as in all email, messages and standard apps that will definitely improve this rating significantly.

Disappointing

This service is great on desktop but the mobile version I very much sub par.

Often when I try to click to enter/accept a live chat, the button doesn’t work and doesn’t allow me to enter. I also had my desktop and app open, and when I responded on ZendeskChat it said it wasn’t able to deliver, but on desktop it showed it had delivered so if I hadn’t had desktop open it would have sent multiple times. I also logged out of ZendeskChat , but it kept showing to members that I was online, and it was sending me notifications.

It would be better if ZendeskChat was set up more intuitively like a messaging/texting app, but truly I just want the bugs and glitches fixed so it works properly and doesn’t tell me the wrong thing

Zendesk should be ashamed

Horrible app. Extremely buggy. Not worth paying $15 a month for. Use the free plan first to see for yourself. Signs you out constantly so you miss customers. The chat app only shows one line of text so if you write a long reply it will cut off. It will also submit the same reply multiple times. ZendeskChat will randomly scroll to the top so you have to scroll down to see the customer's reply. How hard is it to make a simple chat app? Even the feedback feature in ZendeskChat composes an email you can't even send. These guys should be ashamed. There are plenty of apps that keep you signed in and are free so the technology is there. Stay away from this company as since they were bought by zendesk ZendeskChat has been put in the back burner and headed for the dead pool.

zopim good app and good dash board

They only give you 14 days to try and work out all the bugs. The issues will only be on your side there system works very well as is but you may have some programming issue with installing it on some pages and not others or the only down fall is your agents can not make it work on droid phones any where near the way it works on apple yet the system work much better on your computer in google Crome. Just a little hard to get it set up on 10 websites and all agents set up and working in the short trial time. I refuse to pay for an app until I have every thing work 100%

Nothing has changed since the Zopim Era

We were excited when Zendesk purchased Zopim (I think it was 2-3) years ago. Since then no much has changed. Especially the mobile app is getting more buggy every day. Some key features are missing on the mobile app. For example if I transfer a chat to an Agent - I still keep getting notifications from the chat. So transfer and leave is not an option. Lately in some chats I keep loosing the last word of every sentence. It’s quite annoying. There were some improvements over the years like banning user from the mobile app, but overwall nothing that I would say “WoW” :)

Great Overall - But stop logging me out!

I haven't had any trouble with ZendeskChat. The ability to talk with website visitors is really excellent, and I'm thrilled to be able to do this from my iPhone. But they keep logging me out, requiring that I log back in. We should be able to turn that function off. And they need to create an iPad app as well - because those of us who use our iPads a great deal for business would much prefer to be able to use the full keyboard. Thanks to Zopim for their fantastic product - it really is awesome, I'm just saying it could be a bit better.
