Drift - Chat & Video Reviews

This is a game changer in video and email marketing - real-time chat / video hybrid - kudos to this app - they know where video and new media is headed. Their foresight to develop a software tool to resolve the never ending phone tag and deep sea email inbox dead zone. Video is and will become video mail redesigned by this app inc. Not only a conversation starter for me and my potential client - I think it will be the beginning of the end for standard emailing , texting , video marketing - now we can get on the path of real true video communication and video proposals.

Drift freezes constantly. When I’m in a conversation with a visitor to my site, Drift freezes about 6 or 7 times within about every 5 minutes of conversation. Every time it freezes, the only way to get back to Drift being responsive is to force close Drift and start it back up again, however, even that only works about 60% of the time. And once you get back to the conversation with a customer, so much time has passed that more often than not, they have already left the conversation. This service is great, and Drift has a lot of potential, but in its current state it is almost unusable. I want it to be a pleasurable experience, but it just isn’t there yet.

I work at this app so I’m a little biased :) but I really do love it.

Our sales team is able to respond to leads on our website in real time (wherever they are), automate the qualification of site visitors, book meetings without lifting a finger, integrate or build with third-party apps, and proactively reach out with personalized messaging/emailing.

Our marketing team is able to promote content/webinars, nurture contacts, personally greet leads/customers/partners on the site, and function without being worried about stepping on the toes of our sales team.

I’m on the support team! We use this app to answer questions quickly, automate/build our knowledge base, assist with upgrades/selling ops, and ultimately maintain our otherwise non-scalable degree of customer centricity.

Its so easy to see whether conversations are “Open”, yet it is SO hard to find how to change the status. I go in circles every time! Hit “conversations” then it shows “Open”. Hit that to change status and it takes you to the conversation. It says “Open” so you hit that to try and change status, but it takes you to the “Open” conversations. I’ve “Closed” a bunch of conversations but cannot make sense of how I did it every time. You can’t swipe it closed. You can’t hit the “Open” to make it closed. You can’t hit the conversation to make it closed. Everything takes you in a circle back to either the status or the conversation. It’s like Groundhog Day!

...and wish I’d installed this a year and a half ago. The ability for me to connect directly with a prospect and reduce-or-eliminate the entire process of hunting around our agency website for the information they need... and “hope” that we answer just the right question with content at the right moment... and jump right into helping them is indispensable. Love it.

I kid you not I thought this was going to be the stupidest thing ever and total waste of time but the options you have of being alive or having a message pop up saying I’ll get to you as soon as I can, Drift totally allows customers to write a message over something they’re currently looking at your website. You can’t afford not to have this.

I’m only using the free account as getting things like this pushed through in my company is a pain.

I love the tools I have right now but adding in the calendar feature would be wonderful.

For now I’m going to start testing with my profile page link page and measure my success that way. Hopefully building some sort of business case to take forward and returning her to move my rating to 5 star. Shouldn’t be hard to do if the capabilities I’ve seen work as well as the ones I’ve used!

So i am a small businesse owner, really cant pay for chat software just yet, but now i got this app now. I hope my business will grow and i will start paying them soon. There are other companies which provide same features but those look so bad. There was one i was using it even let me customize chat bubble for free but still i am going for this app.

I have to say this app is really a step above the rest. They collect so much data from the person you are engaging with you have a pretty good understanding who you are chatting with based on where they have been on the site. Using the AI to ask initial question helps to qualify the prospect prior to human engagement! this app is a true game changer!!!

First of all, the iOS app isn’t exactly “heavy weight”, yet it fails at very simple stuff like throwing an error when I switch or open conversations (the one thing Drift should be able to do flawlessly). Unfortunately, just prior to the new update today, it worked beautifully. Whatever they did, it’s broken now.

I really wish developers would stop trying to support iPhone X. Nobody likes it, it screws up the application for any not iPhone X users, and causes a mess just to support a phone nobody likes. Is this IE 6 all over again?

We have tried several chat tools over the past five years and had very poor results. After switching to this app we immediately went from only a few chat sessions a week to several chat sessions a day. The support staff is exceptional as well. I highly recommend this app!

I got this app because I believed in their vision - Sales gets done with conversations.

It works. I just closed a deal while having a drink at the local pub at 9pm.

One of my prospects came to the site and I was able to start a conversation and close the deal. All while at the pub. Simply amazing.

I’ve used this app for two of my startups so far and it has been a tremendous help when it comes to communicating with clients. Whether they need help placing an order or navigating the site, my clients have had easy access to me at any time. Definitely would recommend this app to anyone.

Have had free this app installed on onr of my websites for several months now but havent’t utilized it much. Recently installed on three other sites in our network and love how I can use my single free this app account on multiple sites. Will be upgrading soon as I begin to reach limitations of the free service.

I worked with an other app before but I am really pleased with this app. The only downside for me is the help articles not being able to refer to directly from the reply box. You need to create saved answers with the links in. In Drift we used before we were able to search for the article and add it from the reply box

We implemented this app less than a month ago, and we’ve already seen great results. Looking forward to experiencing even far greater benefits and we get better as using the product.

Disappointed to see that the notifications are so inconsistent. Sometimes they just don't come through at all, and sometimes when you open Drift and then close it all off a stiffen Drift badge shows many notifications. Open it again and change the view, and the badge disappears. Open again and the badge comes back. Makes no sense, and makes the badge meaningless.
