itTaxi is one of the worst. It has a very non intuitive way to change pick up point. In addition after a taxi cancelled a ride, itTaxi would not allow me to cancel the ride in itTaxi and request a new one. Absolutely worthless.

Reserving a ride doesn’t work - it directs you to call customer service. The landing page to enter from/to is also fidgety. I don’t think drivers are using itTaxi accordingly because it often times says there are no drivers available when there are in fact a row of taxis at the taxi pick up locations around Rome - drivers might need more incentives to get on itTaxi . They can cheat prices if they off it.

Don’t bother unless you need a taxi when. I one else wants one. Basically a way to give drivers business from across town when Tahiti are getting no business. Boo! Not consumer friendly

Reserved a taxi twice in Italy and both times they sent a cancellation notice AFTER the time they were scheduled to pick up. They sent a notice both times that 10 minutes prior to pickup a SMS message will be sent on the status. Nothing.

No one accepts ride when requested and app will keep searching for taxis for 10 minutes. It also takes forever to find you location. Italy and Rome in general needs to adapt Uber over taxis as even the taxis on road will not stop for you when hailing them.

Scheduled a taxi at 7:30 to pick up at 11:30. They responded with a text message saying I would have a taxi at 11:30. At 10:00 they texted and canceled without reason. They said to call them if the cancellation was a mistake, but the number was busy and I couldn’t get through. Not reliable.

Got itTaxi to get a taxi and pay through card or through itTaxi . We got assigned a taxi that only took euro… our taxi had to drive me to a bank to get cash to pay him.
Also, no payment estimates… We couldve called and gotten the same if not a better experience.
Whats the point of itTaxi ?

I tried to call a taxi while standing right next to a line of 8 taxis. App said that taxi is not available, so I had to explain where to go and driver demanded cash payment. Another time it was more successful- I ordered a taxi in Napoli and it actually worked. It refused to take app payment as well and demanded cash over what the rate machine shown. And no AC in a scorching heat.

Used itTaxi which allows you to pay in app but software is full of glitches and no way for either party to confirm payment thus leads to massive confusion; to clarity on app itself with a receipt and company has hassled me to repeatedly repay when app says payment complete but they say didn’t go through on their end; never had this issue with other mobile service app

itTaxi is terrible. It reminds me why Uber needs to exist. Both times I have used this app, itTaxi took valid addresses that work in google and Apple Maps and turned them into something ambiguous that a taxi driver can use to take you out to the middle of nowhere and extort you for 3-4x the cost of what the ride should be. I caught it both times but the second driver didn’t want to correct until he had racked up an extra 50 euros and there is no recourse or saved ride details like there is with Uber.

I just downloaded itTaxi on my iPhone 13 and found numerous errors. First, I couldn’t set my luggage because the plus button was off screen and no way to add luggage. Second: I wanted a ride at 10am and I got a text confirmation for 16:00 (4pm). This was the booking in advance feature. If I wanted a te t that said 10a I had to book 4am. Crazy. Prices for the ride aren’t visible so not sure why you would use itTaxi. I cancelled and deleted itTaxi .

After three times trying to use itTaxi with no results I have given up on it!

Have attempted to call taxis 4 times in Rome. Only found taxi one time - rest said no taxis found. Worthless. Just have to wait at taxi stand (usually long time) for a ride. When we used app once the drivers don’t want to take a credit card as payment. All say they only want cash.

My experience wasn’t good at all. Unless you have Steve Urkel glasses you will not see letters on the taxi’s. You can get into wrong car by accident which is a HUGE safety risk. I’ve had a driver hang up on me and leave me with a 6,00€ penalty because he couldn’t find me and I was standing less than 1 foot away from the car and asked him to beep his horn. They also treat their cars like an episode of “extreme hoarders”. They are a much better service when they have to answer to Uber. I understand that America and other westernized countries have their issues but there is no reason for a beautiful country like Italy to have such horrible taxi service. Plz do better because this company does have the potential to be great! Best of luck to any one who rides with this app

We had entered our credit card number and data into the this app website while visiting Rome, for the convenience of easy payment using Rome City taxies while in Country. The card had a large fraudulent charge placed through itTaxi halfway through our vacation. We had to freeze the card, then terminate the card number as a result. Thank goodness we had taken a spare credit card. This is never a good position to be in while traveling abroad. this app needs to work on its server security for credit card data. We won’t use it again!

Used three times in Rome. The taxi came to the corner our apartment was on. Took us to the train station, Vatican and colesseum. You can pay by PayPal in itTaxi . I’d use again!!

If you have your text size set large on your phone then lower the font size first.
Pay attention to all the details and confirm them. But works fine. itTaxi can use a little a tweaking tho.

We were skeptical of using itTaxi when we first arrived in Rome due to its ratings but were recommended by one of our taxi drivers that we can schedule an early pick up time using itTaxi. After we downloaded itTaxi we were able to easily get taxis at whatever location when we needed it, like Uber but at a better price. Definitely recommend giving it a try. The old ratings that brought it down for a variety of issues seem to have been solved!

Our hotel used it taxi so we installed itTaxi , especially after we found that a different taxi company charged double what this one did for the same ride. We would stand where we wanted to be picked up for the ride back to our hotel and it never took more than 5 minutes to be picked up. One does not even need to know the address where you are if geolocation was enabled. You can pay through itTaxi but we preferred to pay cash so did not use itTaxi to pay. Cars were new and clean. It was invaluable in our time in Rome.

My family and I downloaded itTaxi to use when we vacationed and Rome. I kept seeing the logo everywhere and decided to give itTaxi a try. It is in English (and other languages) and I kid you not, it’s very similar to the Uber app.

We had no issues, I was able to schedule a pick up from where we were to our exact destination, and was able to GPS track the incoming taxi and our destination track as we went along.

The one thing to note is that when you go to get a taxi, it will search for available taxis in the area. Very similar to the way Uber does it, so it’s not instant. Once a taxi has accepted, then it will come to your location and pick you up.

It was nice because we didn’t have to speak to the driver much and I was able to pay in itTaxi with my bank or credit card instead of in cash. Additionally, for the six of us to find a vehicle that would fit us was fantastic.

Definitely recommend if you’re staying in Rome. I’m unsure of its use outside of the city, but for the city is was perfect. Considering Uber prices were outrageous (because of Uber Black)…for the same ride, I was able to pay €12 instead of €45.
