Hands down the worst secret shopper app. I’ve been using this for years and they recently (last 6 months) have started rejecting missions for the worst excuses. You take the time, you drive to the store, you complete the mission, they get the info they want, and then don’t pay you! I’ve had missions rejected for things they’ve asked wrong, not explained, and now for time?!? Telling me that I cannot walk a store to locate an obvious product on an endcap in 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time, there’s better apps out there that actually pay!
Sure you can explain your case after they refuse your mission but the customer service takes forever to get back to you. They say 7 days, which is way to long to begin with, but even when they take longer they don’t give you your points.

You can’t accept a “mission” unless you are at the location, which is very inconvenient and I’ll explain why. I saw a mission right down the street from my house so I decided to give it a try and see how it works. Drove 3 minutes to the location and when I went to accept the mission, it was gone. Frustrated, but wasn’t ready to give up. I saw another mission 12 minutes away and decided to give it another try. Drove as fast as I could all the way to the other location and as I was pulling in, it disappeared. Now, extremely frustrated, I was done. I just wasted my time and gas. Drove all the way home and as I was around the corner from my house, the first mission popped back up. I thought, why not, let’s try one more time. Pulled in and tried to accept the mission. I got an error message and it kept telling me to try again. I sat there for a while retrying and retrying. Tried to restart Mobee and guess what, the mission was gone. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. It’s impossible to make any more with Mobee. I wasted 45 mins of my time and gas driving around for a possible $2.50. Deleting Mobee and never looking back. Such garbage.

this app used to be a really fun and easy way to make spending money. I’ve earned $75 while using this app for the past three months but recently this app has not only gone down hill but fell off a dang cliff. I’ve had more missions refused lately than what was approved and I’ve had enough experience with Mobee to know what was expected of me in the different store displays and required camera angles. I’ve also noticed extended wait times for mission approvals to extend 2 weeks!! Thats even with a trouble ticket open inquiring about the wait! Customer support is also NO LONGER helpful nor as friendly as they were when I first started. Mission payouts have also gone down a lot and time to complete missions have also gone up.

I think I’ll take my $75 and go somewhere else while I can still redeem my points...

I have accomplished many missions for months and accumulated almost a hundred dollars but these days Mobee went wrong. The missions appeared and when I reached the destination they disappeared. It was the same pattern for a few days. On Monday. I emailed the support team and followed her steps to recover Mobee but does not work. I followed her last step and uninstalled Mobee and reinstalled it again. It is so frustrating that it could not connect with my Facebook again and keep saying I put the wrong password. I emailed the support team many times for 3 days asking for resetting the password but they never replied. So sad when I could not open my this app account again. So sad when I have wasted a lot of time doing these missions and many of them were only $1.5 . So sad when you reached the destination and found out that the mission was taken by others since the missions cannot be reserved. So sad when you have spent over an hour to complete a mission of $8 and they rejected it because they replied it was a bug. It is just a WASTE Of TIME here.

Don’t waste your time. There are some great secret shopper apps out there - this is not one. I have completed about 30 “missions” and I have had approximately half of them rejected for “reasons” that are entirely fabricated. For example, one was rejected because my three pictures were too close or didn’t show enough. The pics were supposed to be of the cheese cooler. Literally, the entire cooler was pictured. Ever piece of cheese in that store section. It wasn’t good enough though. No points - no achievements - my time wasted.

It takes about a week to even find out if they approved or rejected your mission, and they don’t pay out on the bonuses in many cases. I’ve completed “Accomplishments” & had the points credited, then had the points taken back and the accomplishment put back to incomplete. Here’s the kicker - I’m a licensed private investigator with years of investigations under my belt. I’m not doing a poor job, this is a garbage app.

I have a couple of secret shopper like apps which I regularly use. I was excited to find this app, at first. I completed a few missions and redeemed about two gift cards. Almost a month ago I completed a mission which I had to travel to. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner and the business was NOT AT ALL what it was supposed to be. They did not have the product in question nor any products at all ( they were a service business) there was nothing to take a picture of however a picture was required. I thoroughly detailed my mission. Despite driving over 35 minutes, and speaking with the owner my mission was rejected. I appealed it of course and waited a week to find out that they were still going to reject the mission. I will be deleting Mobee and reaching out to those I recommended Mobee to. There are much better apps available who value your time. I hope potential customers of this app read these reviews and think twice.

I have been doing Mystery Shopping for over 5 years. I work with dozens of Mystery Shopping Companies, including EasyShift, Field Agent, IVueit, Observa and others.

this app is THE WORST.

Many of their “missions” are poorly scripted with conflicting and confusing requests for information (seems like they are purposely written in a way that is “designed to fail”) their pay is far below comparable gigs offered by other Companies, and their “rejection rate” of performed missions is far above the rate of other companies.

Their rejection of missions is more often than not, flat out WRONG. There have been days when I have performed 5 or 6 missions, only to have half of them rejected, all for invalid reasons. And in order to resolve these invalid rejections one must engage in a lengthy email exchange, arguing your case. Which can take weeks to resolve.
By the time the issues are resolved, I would spend far more time trying to secure my $2 to $3 to $4 for a mission than I spent on the actual mission.

I have now FIRED this company from my list of MSC’s that I do work for.

They are not worth the aggravation of providing services for.

Frankly, I am shocked that they are still in business.

This is an update to my original review. Apparently this app does not have the courtesy to respond to reviews. I have monitored this page since uploading this review and the only reply is silence. My inference is that this app is paid for the information we collect, yet keeps finding ways to cheat people out of the compensation they are owed. If you are looking to make extra cash from the gig economy, you definitely want to stay away from Mobee.

I was originally a fan of Mobee. Then, after completing enough missions for a $100 payout, I completed the steps to claim my reward and waited and waited and waited. After a few weeks I contacted their support. I received an email from their community support person which I interpreted as the delay being my fault. She resent the reward email, but neglected to clear up confusion over how long I had to redeem. When I discovered the problem, I contacted he again and her response was that there was nothing they could do. I tried contacting the prize vendor but that was a waste. this app’s “excuse” was that it is a reward, not compensation for work accomplished. That is the lamest BS I have ever heard. Bottom line: wasting your time doing tasks for Mobee is definitely not worth it.

Used Mobee from time to time when I was already planning on going to a store that was listed. Ended up reaching about $30 worth of rewards to cash in. Then, they started denying my missions for no reason. They specifically asked for a photo of a display where the “home security” products were. I gave them the photo where the product they wanted to see was missing and not being advertised as it should have been. I even wrote in the description that the product was not being advertised. I spent about 25 min total on this mission only for it to be denied because the product was missing. So, they get the information for their client that they want (that their products are being displayed) and they get that information FOR FREE by wasting my time. STAY AWAY!!!

Initially, I was super excited for Mobee. Thought it would a great way to earn gift cards in the weekend with my boyfriend. Went to do my first mission and I thought I did pretty good. I answered all of the questions and took the pictures they asked for me to take. Submitted the mission and the next day they said t was approved and I was awarded the points for it. I check my email and they said it was denied due to the placement of the product on the shelf. Not my fault the product was not as Mobee wanted it to be. So I replied to the message they sent me and a few days later I get a final answer on if the mission will be accepted. They reply with since we reviewed your case and this is your first mission we will make an exception and award you the points for it. Really? If this is how my first mission went. I don’t want to bother with other missions. Deleting Mobee . Not worth your time honestly it wasted mine.

You need lots of work I stopped using this am for a while because I was driving to different places doing different things and then Mobee would crash and I would have to do the job all over again. Also I’ve always answered the questions to the best of my ability and sometimes my perception of things is different from what is being ask of things are there but not right you need to figure a way to award partial credit. I like using Mobee when it works. But I started using it again The day before yesterday and went on 3 missions. Some how Mobee flip flopped or didn’t upload my pics and after a half hour of walking around you guys don’t want to give me any credit even though it’s not my fault. I don’t think I’ll be using Mobee again for a while.

When they started updating the way they do things, the approval rate started getting slower. I used to have completed missions approved in 3 days or so, now it’s been a week and only 1 out of 3 of my missions was approved, barely. Still waiting on the other two. On top of that, there have been pin issues in my area and they haven’t been fixed despite reporting them a week prior. How can I complete missions if the pin is a half mile down the road, across the street? The rewards are nice, I’ve redeemed over $100 in rewards with them, so it is definitely legit. I just think a couple things could be improved.

Knocking off a star because I’ve reported the same pin issue twice now in the last three weeks and it still hasn’t been fixed. Also on day 8 of waiting for a mission to be approved.

At first I was obsessed with Mobee! I had fun going to stores and earning points to get cool gift cards! I thought this is way to good to be true and I was right! :/ Now they literally reject your missions for reasons that aren’t fair. For example, I had to take a picture of something the store didn’t have so they rejected my mission even though I answered every question I could possibly answer! They also rejected other missions and I have no idea why because I spent all that time on it and I know I did everything it asked of me! So unfair! I felt used! They got the info from me and then just screwed me over and didn’t pay me! There are other apps that won’t play you! If Mobee went back to how it use to then I truly believe it would turn into something amazing but I think they got greedy

I have been using Mobee for a little over a year. In the beginning and up until recently, I could make hundreds of points a week if I wanted to. There were constant missions. However, that is not the case any longer. There are hardly ever any missions in my area anymore. To the point where I sometimes forget to check it when I’m out, which I never used to do. I would ALWAYS check because there would always be something in the area. When I do remember to check, I am usually disappointed because there is nothing. Zilch. I’m sure the response I receive will say that the missions are taken by another user but that is not the case at all. They are simply not there any longer. RIP to another formerly great app.

I have been doing this app for extra money! I wish they would do cash instead of gift cards and other incentives like other companies. When I started with this app 5 years ago the missions would pay one the average of 5.00 now its seems like a 1.50 and the big missions over 5.00 is a lot of pictures and questions! Please pay more for missions

Been a huge fan of this app. I’ve gotten lots of gift cards from doing the work asked. I do agree with others that some missions are worded poorly and confusing but if it’s rejected, I’ve either understood why or argued my work (with valid reasoning) and they overturned their rejection.

However, the pay for missions are getting to be extremely low. $1.50 for 15-20 minutes of work is almost laughable. The bonuses are nice when they work but you’re basically saying people are worth $5 an hour to do work when it didn’t use to be that way. I’m hoping they will turn it around and they aren’t just scared of the budget running out (which has happened to so many other companies...remember Mpoints).

I was super skeptical about Mobee. Too many scams out there! This one actually does work. Some stores you have to drive a around a few times until the GPS recognizes it’s there. Some stores were pinned two stores down but as long as you check in and then go into the store you’ll be able to complete the task. Also, make sure to have good internet reception. Low or too slow internet makes it a nightmare yo load the information! Other than that, this is app is great! Looking forward to my missions being approved and saving up for redemption!

I’ve been with this app for quite a while now. Over the years I’ve been able to cash in for a multitude of gift cards ranging from plain old virtual visas, to Apple gift cards! The missions are clearly spelled out, and easy to understand and complete. They approve them in a very reasonable amount of time, often within hours. Gift cards have always been legit. I refer people to them often. You can select as many missions as you want to my knowledge so there’s pretty unlimited potential to earn with this app! Highly recommend!

I only have to complete 7 missions each year to get a $15 iTune gift card. This gift card pays my $1.00 monthly iCloud storage fee for a year. So I’m using a phone app to pay for a phone app.

Unlike other apps, Mobees Missions are always at stores I frequent in my neighborhood. Each mission takes about 15 minutes. And most missions are introducing new (usually healthy) products like Chomp (grass fed beef) Stick Snacks. So basically, Mobees is paying me to learn about new products.

I recommend Mobee for people who want to use their phones to learn about new products/brands/stores in your neighborhood.

And so much fun ;) I seriously don’t understand all the negative reviews. This is REAL money here, people!! I’ve gotten over $500 cash since I started back in January. And that’s without even really trying. I bet I can easily break $1000 before the end of the year, as I intend to do a lot of traveling and you get bonus $ for doing shops far from your location. I’ll agree with some users that getting your shops rejected can be frustrating...but many times if you explain the issue, they’ll end up approving your mission. And if not, often award you ‘partial’ points for at least putting your best effort forward. Again, this is an incredible app and I’ve done many MANY like these, as this is by far one of the best!! Don’t listen to the naysayers and download to see for yourself. Mo🐝 on!!!
