Visually appealing but doesn't work

I tried this on my new iPad4. Love the visual layout and think it has the ability to be an incredible tool, but it doesn't sync between devices- even iDevices.
Read the instructions. The documentation is attractive, but after jumping back and forth to the Table of Contents, I found the procedural flow disorganized, and OpusDomini does NOT work as documented.
The main problem with OpusDomini (for my purposes) is syncing between iPad and iPhone. I need to input To dos and appointments in the iPad, because of the larger screen and visibility of the right-hand notes page, but I need to view, edit and manage these items in my iPhone 5 while I'm in the field. Sometimes things sync, but most often, they don't. I've tried shutting down both apps and restarting, checking sync settings (not that they are documented)... It just doesn't work. Tech support did not respond when I submitted a ticket.

Too bad. This is what I need and would be willing to pay for it if it worked. Back to trying out apps for me. If anyone can suggest something to track To Dos, Appointments AND Contacts, other than Act, please comment.

Really wish it worked

I love the fact that OpusDomini works like a paper planner book and gives functionality no other app on the market seems to do. It's a digital form of the planner that keeps a person's daily life organized - using the A1,2,3 B1,2,3, C1,2,3 prioritizing method... which is great. But, now every time I add a task it makes the task repeat indefinitely, without creating a repeat rule. So, every day going forward looks the same. I read the other reviews and decided to take a chance as I NEED OpusDomini - but sadly I arrived at the same place of disappointment and frustration as others. I'm not spending money to buy the pro version if the free version doesn't even work properly. I am still looking for another version of OpusDomini made by someone else. Sadly, I can't get through to OpusDomini's online support either. Would have paid for a working version of this in a heart beat. Being able to move tasks from one day to another, change the status, have an ongoing master list, etc... was great when it worked.

Deal breaking flaws

Trust with caution! I wanted to like it, and at first I really did! Took time to start reading instructions, it seemed promising. However with continued use I ran into two big issues:

1- does not sync with my google calendar. Sometimes my old app needed a refresh too but I couldn't figure out how to prompt it here. I had a lot of rescheduling to do around vacation and the lack of syncing for view on my laptop could have been disastrous if I didn't have a good memory and level of caution.

2-master and scheduled tasks don't show up in daily. I'm coming from Todo Pro which you can filter important things so you can see upcoming events. I scheduled one with a deadline..and OpusDomini took it as the scheduled date to do it. Which, if I had relied on OpusDomini, I'd have been screwed because it was a bit of a project that could take several days of research to complete. Yikes!

Also I need a week view and this doesn't seem to offer it in portrait orientation.

Ditched Planner Plus

Like the look and functionality of OpusDomini. Tried Planner Plus and pretty much threw my money away. The font, tabs, bright color, & function of OpusDomini is much more suitable. Thank you and please don't change!

Hesitated on going with your Pro due to the review and ratings. If that were to straighten out I would try it :)

The more I use OpusDomini, the more I like it!

Great start!

This is by far the closest any app has come to replacing my handwritten daily planner. It has tons of great features. I almost bought an ipad for the sole purpose of using OpusDomini to its full potential but it falls short in one major category - hand writing recognition. Until OpusDomini or ipad does that I can't justify buying the ipad and ditching my ancient planner. The other two features that would be REALLY helpful - audio notes and as others have mentioned syncing across devices.

Unique Features!

OpusDomini allows you to quickly store in the task pane everything you want to accomplish throughout the day. You can then simply drag events from the task pane to the calendar overview (which syncs to your main calendar). **This eliminates the need to retype every single event in your main Calendar!**. The feature alone makes OpusDomini totally worth it.

Opus Domini

I have really enjoyed using OpusDomini. It fixes some of what bugged me with the Franklin Planner system.

The two problems I have that keep it from 5 stars is that there isn't a custom setting for the calendar that will allow me to set a recurring monthly appointment every second Tuesday.

I also wish it would allow color coding of task categories. For example, red for work, blue for family, etc.

Other than that I would recommend OpusDomini.

Great business tool

I used to go old school and used a planner. I've tried multiple "planner" apps, but this one is essential. There are a couple of things that I would like to see additional, but it's got a ton of components that help short term and long term planning.

Could be more helpful

OpusDomini is very confusing to use, esp because procedures described in the directions are NOT matched by what happens or what I see on my iPad screen when I do them. In some cases the buttons are too close together so that pressing one often prompts the action for the other button. Am still trying to make it work.

Home Manager

I too appreciate this application it is wonderful. I no longer use the bulky "planner" that I would carry around with me. It definitely replaces all of the extra note pad, etc. I love it it. it has spoiled me. Thank you. It's my secretary!!!!

Run

I used the Lite version of this program and thought that it would be a good resource. I subsequently purchased the full version. I have had it for almost two weeks and can not open the program or use it. It has been a complete waste of money and a major frustration. DO NOT PURCHASE. I can not get support to help nor have they refunded my money. This has completely put a bad taste in my mouth for the program and the company.

Luvinit

Easy to use. Template comes right up without confusion. No need to save or go thru a bunch of commands. Can't say enough good things excellent app. Use it to keep track of everything! Use it everyday, all day long!

Good app

Very helpful, nice appearance, I like the way it displays tasks and how they can be managed and followed up. I also like the space that is left for notes. The daily and weekly displays are very helpful. Highly recommended.

Reminders do not show up as task

2 stars because it let me select the calendars to exclude however the Reminders do not show up as tasks. I'm not going to copy and paste all of them. That's a waste of my time! Half the features listed are only available on the iPad not the iPhone and not being able to update my Mac OS means OpusDomini is useless!

Good agenda

I suggest OpusDomini to lots of college students. I like it, even though its a little complex with all of the options. This is the best agenda app that I know of.

I don't know how to use it and no tutorial for this...

I'm trying to prioritize my projects on the task lists, but as soon as I put it as a high priority it disappears from the list. I looked for a tutorial on this planner app, but the link comes up as "not found". It's frustrating trying to find an app to help with organizing my tasks. I might as well return to paper and pen...

Best Planner/Calendar App Out There!!

First of all, OpusDomini actually works. Second, you don't have to pay to upgrade it to work all of its features.

Heaven sent!

It synchronizes perfectly. No crashes, no missing information.

Love love love it!!

Great layout and organization. User friendly.

Recommend to all of my colleagues and friends without a doubt!!

Like it but needs update

I liked using this until it stopped working due to incompatibility with the new IOS 11 update on my iPad. I hope you will update OpusDomini to be compatible again.

This Would Be The Best Filofax EXCEPT

The format is filofax/dayrunner friendly: especially with your iCal and Google calendar appointments on the side, but the tasks can not be setup for a time with alarm: only a date. If OpusDomini could function with iReminders and include sub-tasking it would be the premier app! For now I'm using Plan Be Lite.
