I tried to play this on an iPad Mini 5 running iOS 15. The game is completely broken, with black squares appearing in a checkerboard pattern all over my screen.

After reading all the other reviews I thought this would be the perfect game. I love turn-based strategy games. This disappointed me on every level. By the time I got to about the fourth mission I started questioning why are these overly complex controls in place for simple troop placement. This is rock paper scissors at its worst. How they can charge $10 for this and get away with it is a mystery to me.

This is the best strategy game I have played on the iPad. The combat system is well designed, providing a visceral experience that gives you a lot control without sacrificing the rapid pace. However, there are a couple of frustrating difficulties that arise from the combat system. For instance, in the game, you have to decide what your units are going to do in advance, and then after you have given your orders both sides engage in combat simultaneously. This means your units act in a pre determined order you can see while you give commands, and you have to take this order into account when making your moves. When you move units, you have to know whether units that block their path will move out of the way before or after them, and the game lets you move over occupied spaces to account for this. However, when you want to cast spells on units you know are moving in range, or you want to rotate your units, the game won't let you.
