Absolutely awful, killed a great app with this version

MobileConnect has been fantastic for many years, it just worked.

This version is broken beyond belief, the ability to toggle VPN under settings is borked, and more importantly VPN DNS servers are no longer being used. When I attempt a lookup of a split DNS intranet site I’m getting the public IP! Internal server names are now resolving as null.

Really wish I could downgrade to the previous version...

Connects but won’t load

Ever since they came out with the newest update for SonicWall it will say connected but the page won’t load. Not helpful when your trying to run a building as a facilities manager. The previous version worked fine anytime I needed it. They need to update their software so it’s compatible with iOS 16.2.

I never know if I’ll get a login

This client seems to break regularly. The current issue is it try’s to login and it won’t let me type a domain, but also won’t find one when connecting, so it gives an error that not all fields are filled in.
Great job Sonic wall.

Won’t stay connected

I’m not sure what happened with the latest version of this client but since upgrading, I can’t stay connected on my MacBook or iPhone for more than a second while on WiFi. . SonicWall just goes into an endless loop of connecting/disconnecting. Cellular works and I’ve tested on multiple WiFi routers.

Ongoing issue with VPN over IPv6

If you use SonicWall with T-Mobile as your cell data provider (because they adopted IPv6) , once VPN is established you can’t RDP connect to any local host using IPv4 IP address, ONLY using hostname. And for that to work you need to add rules for NETBIOS traffic from sslvpn to lan.
I have reported this issue to this app 2 YEARS (!!!) ago, was told they are aware and promised it will be fixed within next release yet it still doesn’t work.
We’ve been loyal this app customer for many years, deployed their appliances to many clients, but sometime it makes me wondering why Dell got rid of this app brand so quickly after acquiring it few years back...

Fails to connect on Ios

Failed to connect, opened ticket with this app, they said to upgrade SRA, did so, same error. Apparently not willing to troubleshoot actual issue, leaning on “oh you are three updates behind, upgrade and call back” is the current tactic. Sorry but quite upset. Been trying to roll this to production for awhile now.

Cannot connect with an authenticator

Cannot connect to my VPN with an authenticator. When switch the screen for approval, Sonilc wall app simply lost the network connection.

Gets Stuck

Gets stuck disconnecting which is ridiculous. Only way to use app again is to REBOOT PHONE. Really a pain and hopefully they will fix it. Been doing this for at least the last two versions.

Good when it works

Most of the time SonicWall works well but twice in the last month it won’t stay open.I have had to remove SonicWall from my phone and re-download it in order to get it back in business. Very frustrating. These technology companies ought to be better at…Technology.

Worked great in the past but won’t connect when on WIFI anymore

Works on iPhone on cellular network but not on WIFI. Also, says passwod instead of password. It’s been months. Is a fix on the way?

Having to reconnect

After an update either to the all or iOS, I'm having to constantly reconnect to the VPN. The iOS app shows connected but the firewall doesn't show an active session. Every 10-30 minutes I'm having to reconnect to access intranet endpoints.

IOS 16.1 Broke sonicwall mobile connect

This is been a great app that’s very easy to use and reliable unfortunately version 5.0.11 was broken by iOS 16.1. Since the most recent IOS update to 16.1 the this app application does not connect at all.

Disconnecting

Soho on 5.9.1.8 firmware iOS 10.2.1. Since update after disconnecting from VPN status will continue to say disconnecting even when force closing app. Have to restart phone to make it usable again. Works great while using though.

Finally updated for iOS 16

SonicWall has worked great for years, but they seem really slow to update it. iOS 16 broke the previous version. Had to wait weeks for a fix. Now works fine again.

IOS 12 broke it? Reinstall it.

After installing iOS 12, iOS indicated that SonicWall needed to be updated by the developer and that it is not approved to create a VPN. Deleting and reinstalling it fixed the issue. It’s odd that SonicWall did not automatically get set to be updated like the other 32 apps that did when I installed iOS12. 🤷‍♂️

Works great

This product works with current IOS Mobil clients and updated firewall software. this app now has a current configuration guide to get mobile clients configured to the FW

Worked great to connect to my private network. Easy to use. No complaints.

iOS 16.1 DOES connect

I've used this this app app for many years. After updating to 16.1 I cannot connect. Meaning I have to get to my laptop or go into the office when I get a support call! I'm going to have to replace the VPN hardware at my clients if this doesn't get resolved soon. They will not be pleased when I get them the bill.

UPDATE: Thank you for listening! The latest update fixed my connection problem.
