One of THE essential apps to have

I’ve been a long user of EnpassPasswordManager. So long ago, it was back when the pro subscription was only 10 dollars! EnpassPasswordManager back then was rough on the edges, but it had promise. I was looking for a simple and relatively affordable password manager ever since I realized keeping a dusty notepad of passwords was not exactly a good idea (Back then I had like 50 logins). Having faith in the popularity of password managers, I stuck around with this one, even with talks of 1Password, LastPass and others started to show promise.

Fast forward to now, and EnpassPasswordManager is...unbelievable. I love EnpassPasswordManager hands down. I use it all the time, personal, work, and just about anything that I need to securely keep. The fact that the company always allowed you to choose where you can store your info as well as avoiding a subscription policy (which now there is one do, BUT the option to go lifetime is STILL a thing) has always made me love this application. EnpassPasswordManager is not perfect compared to the competitors, (1pass has a nicer editing interface and browser plugin) BUT the things that keep Enpass above them is all of the benefits I mentioned earlier. Those in my opinion, are what really makes Enpass valuable and stand out. And to see them stand strong on those ideas makes me really happy to be a loyal user of their product. Thanks Enpass for the continued support and growth of a phenomenal application!

Top notch and great all around

After password switched to subscription model I was less then thrilled that it seemed as though even if you purchased the software out right you were still limited if you were not using the subscription version. I got on Enpass by chance as everyone else was doing subscription. I’m not against subscription models but I feel as though early investors did not sign up for that and should not be penalized because there is a change in company structure moving forward. In comes Enpass, I purchased it for both iOS and Windows and less than a year after doing so they switch to subscription based model. Here we go again or so I thought, not only did Enpass honor my early adoption purchase but they do not skimp on the features either moving forward. EnpassPasswordManager is so good even if I were just now finding out about it I would get it even with a subscription because they do not try to pull the covers out from under you when they I open et any change. This goes a long way. I am so glad to use EnpassPasswordManager and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid password manager that has all the features that the other guys have and more 😀

Screwing over the Customer

I bought a lifetime subscription several years ago for $10. I’ve used EnpassPasswordManager, loved it, and recommend it to many of my peers. I will no longer do that. You have now switched to a subscription service, which is fine, except now my “lifetime pass” seems to have lasted only a few years. One of the main draws of your app was that it stood out in a sea of subscription services. I can, however, purchase another one for $50. I upgraded to pro years ago and now my app says “pro revoked”. Are you kidding me? How insulting! I understand that you need to make money, but I already paid you and now you are going back on your word. You are stealing from me what I already have paid for and should have access to. I don’t think it’s outrageous to assume that the lifetime upgrade I paid for would last, I don’t know, a lifetime. This new era of demanding a customer pay for a product that they have already bought and own is outrageous. I am extremely disappointed. I will not do any further business with a company that clearly cares so little for their customers. I understand that you need to make money, but I would never treat anyone that I do business with the way you have treated me. Goodbye Enpass, hello LastPass. Not a joke. As we speak, I am making the switch. Good riddance, no customer should ever be betrayed by a company like this.

Upgrade your life!

Aside from being a password manager, I love that Enpass has so many pre-built items for you to simply drop your content into (e.g., insurance card, passport, drivers license). I’ve got all my login credentials and important info all in one spot. It feels super secure and the ability to customize everything to your tastes makes this better, in my mind, than 1Password, LastPass — all of ‘em.

Regarding price and subscriptions: Enpass costs next to nothing compared to the competition. And, don’t you want to keep continuous development going on something that is securing your sensitive, digital content? If $1/month (i.e., $12/year) is too much or you’re offended by a subscription model, stop it. Real software requires subscriptions for continuous, streamlined development. Paying a lump sum doesn’t make sense and any outfit that’s in it for the long haul will switch to it if they haven’t already. If you don’t agree, you don’t know how software is designed and maintained.

The lack of “hype” is confusing…

This password manager is dope. I’ve used all of em at some point or another (Lastpass, 1Password, and Bitwarden extensively) and Enpass stands toe to toe with all of them. It’s better in a bunch of ways - clean, snappy, and all locked on-device rather than in the cloud (tho that can be enabled).
The fact that it’s not on any major tech site’s “best of” lists is really bizarre and makes me wonder how legit those reviews are. Also, nobody really mentioning it on social media/Reddit etc makes me feel like I’m in the Truman Show. Because if you use this password manager for 10 minutes you’ll realize how much easier it is to navigate and how much faster it is since it’s all local processing. One would think that, along with the security implications of the data not leaving your phone would make reviewers go full clickbait with their headlines — but I guess it’s just me? Well anyway, I def recommend it

Found my 1Password replacement

I don’t write reviews but EnpassPasswordManager deserves one. Longtime user of 1Password before the subscription model. Once that change happens that became the beginning of the end for my continued use. I want to store my vault on my network and not pay a monthly fee. After much searching and trying other solutions I stumbled on Enpass.

I downloaded and tried it for about an hour, that’s all I needed to see that this was the replacement I was looking for. I quite easily brought all of my 1pass data over and tested the browser extensions. All worked very cleanly so I went ahead and bought the lifetime license. I’m also happy to see that I can sync with a WebDAV server in my NAS so all of my data can live in house.

I have to say thank you to Enpass for not only allowing local storage but also providing a non subscription option. They have won my support and business.

Affordable replacement for 1Password

With their next version, 1Password will require those with local standalone to use their cloud. That’s the final straw... Enter Enpass. It has everything I need and I exported my 1Password and had gone through all of the settings in about 5 minutes. Sweet and easy goodbye and a welcome hello. While I wish the Secure Notes had a bit better use of space (on my Mac there’s a great deal of forced margin to the left of the viewer window) and I wish I could select EnpassPasswordManager font and size. But it is not a bloated app and I’m happy with that! Security and fairly priced with no forced use of a cloud account = best choice. P.s. Not to say that you cannot choose to securely share your auto synced tomb via your cloud of choice. You can and they support a staggering array of providers. I downloaded Enpass on my mobile device and setup was just my email address and master password! Blissful!

Practically perfect in every way

Yet another newspaper article citing 1Password and Lastpass has inspired me to finally review Enpass. In short, this is a terrific password management system. I say “system” because the mobile apps and desktop apps and browser add-ins work together so seamlessly. Password synchronization across a variety of self-chosen cloud storage providers is a big part of that integration. The multi-vault feature is key for my use case, where i have to maintain my own passwords separately from those I use to manage my elderly parents’ affairs. That allows other trustees to step in when needed, without compromising my own information. The one-time buy-in for Enpass was a big factor in that choice over its subscription-based competitors. (Though I do worry about long-term sustainability with that one-time model.) That said, Enpass’ creators are diligent in their bug fixes, updates, and continuing improvements.

Great app, gets even better!

Huge changes and improvements in recent updates made it really awesome! I've used several password managers and most of them were paid versions and at the top of the chart and this one is absolutely my favorite!

A few months ago I sent a review and mentioned the following bugs that I found in the new major update and now, most of them are fixed! Strongly suggested to everyone.

A few bugs: (some FIXED!)

1. Some changes are not saved! For example, I added some tags and tried several times to save them, but the tags were not saved. (Fixed!)

2. Adding custom icons was fantastic, but no way to edit the frame or remove an unwanted custom icon that I added earlier for test. (Fixed!)

3. Adding SECTIONs is one of my favorite changes, but the section is only a separator and not linked to section contents. If I move a section or delete it, the section title moves or deleted but it's contents remain untouched.

4. New version adds a lot of empty fields to existing cards and it needs a lot of effort to remove them. (Can't check again, my records already transferred to new version)

5. In my iPad with iOS 10.x, the top section goes under the top screen info bar. For example Edit button goes under the battery logo and cannot be touched easily and blending result is ugly. (Fixed!)

6. ...

Thanks for your great work!

The Best Password Manager

Simply the best, I have been searching for a password manager for awhile and have come up short so I was overjoyed to find Enpass. Enpass is 10 dollars for mobile flat not monthly (there is a trial version but your limited to how many you can save) which is a steal! Most password managers that do less cost 10 a month! And you really don’t even need the mobile version, the desktop and portable version are the exact same and work excellently and are completely free! I love the features set and the simplicity of EnpassPasswordManager over all the platforms, my favorite feature by far is that you choose we’re to sync your data so you know no one is tampering with it. I cannot express how much I love this password manger, it’s hard to find software that is reasonably priced (honestly probably under priced since it’s not monthly) and works so well. Simply the best!

Easy and you choose the cloud

The biggest difference I like with Enpass is not having my passwords in the cloud by default. And the ability to choose among major cloud services if I want is a big plus. And then there’s the (increasingly rare) ability to simply pay for EnpassPasswordManager and not deal with annoying subscriptions!! EnpassPasswordManager itself works fine and I don’t have any real complaints, except one suggestion.

It would be super helpful if there was a way to include more than one url for each entry. It’s increasingly common to have multiple urls for the password used (eg., APIs and their corresponding websites). The way it is now, I usually can’t just have iOS input my username/password for some apps since the default website url isn’t the API one, so I end up having to manually copy/paste the appropriate login info.

The best balance of security & convenience

I have tried a number of PW managers, and most of the popular ones (e.g. Lastpass, Dashlane...) use their cloud service, with no way for the end user to know where or how well your info is protected. But with Enpass, you are in control of your data. Your vault is encrypted, and you choose where to store it. You can just use it locally, sync on a shared network, or to your mobile devices via a cloud service of your choosing. (I.e. Dropbox, iCloud Drive, etc.) It is cross platform, free for desktop use, and very reasonably priced for the full version. I’m primarily a Mac user, but do use other platforms from time to time. Switched from 1Password years ago for this reason (not to mention it’s MUCH cheaper), and never looked back.

Untrustworthy update policy

I really like Enpass for the fact that it allowed me to self host my vault and not require a subscription model. Unfortunately with the recent changes EnpassPasswordManager I paid for became unusable by only allowing up to 25 passwords to be synced at most! I understand that the developers need to make money but they could have chosen not to invalidate previous purchases by releasing a new version of their iOS app and let user continue to use EnpassPasswordManager they paid for. That would have created no costs for the company as people have to self-host their vault. I might have updated eventually to the new subscription-based model when it has enough new features (right now there are no novelties compared to the old version I paid for). Instead I was forced to switch and I am not planning to ever return. Who knows what their next policy change will be.

I am using Bitwarden now, which offers a much better macOS app, a web interface, and a good iOS app! On top of that’s its open-source and free if you have a web server.

Nice password manager with flaw

Enpass is a nice password manager I can use on my iPhone, iPad and computer and keep my passwords synced up. Despite the settings, it automatically relooks itself so you have to enter your password every time … annoying but I can live with that. Unfortunately when it locks up, it loses any information that was being entered. I was creating a web account for my bank. I would enter the info into Enpass and then into the web form. I even used Enpass to generate a secure password. I sat my phone down while I finished the form (less than 30 seconds) but unfortunately that was enough time for the screen to lock and Enpass lose all my info. With no password, I can’t get into the account. Tomorrow I have to go to the bank in person with documents to unlock my account. From now on I will write all info down before trusting Enpass … unfortunately that crushes the security.

Best Password (and everything else) Manager

Amazing app with beautiful design, intuitive setup, and plenty of customization. Autofill for web browsers on any device is instant and never fails, and the process copying passwords without showing them for non-web browser logins is very smooth. The password generator and the auto-update passwords feature make changing passwords simple and easy. The ability to sync passwords/other data and have access to them across any devices is incredible, and all it takes to put them on a new device is downloading the application and typing in a password. And if this product wasn’t good enough already, the integration of FaceID and TouchID make everyday use even more pleasant. This is the best manager available, hands down.

Fix Pro User Re-Enablement

I really like you guys and don’t want to see you go. SaaS is definitely the new model and you guys are right to transition. BUT to those who bought the Pro lifetime subscription - make it easier for them to get it back. I consider myself extremely tech savvy but even I was tripping trying to reactive my legacy Pro subscription. Make it easily available. Your legacy lifetime users will vouch for your product. I love Enpass. It’s aesthetically pretty, exceptionally smooth, and functionally packed. Let us speak to your new customers. Let us tell them how great the software is.

Thank you for sending the email about cross platform functionality. That was a smart start. Now make it easier to re-enable Pro lifetime subscriptions.

Enpass is the real deal.

I’ve used several other password managers and while I’ve got nothin bad to say about them Enpass is the best one in my opinion. For a one time $10 charge I have my passwords and TOTP’s syncing between my iPhone and Mac using ICloud. Runs incredibly smooth with all the features you need and expect from a password manager. Security is second to none. Highly recommended! If I could just simply suggest something to the devs on top of being able to attach pictures to your entries if you provided a little storage for encrypted docs, files etc I would literally pay monthly for something like that! Great product none the less easily 5 stars.

BEST HANDS DOWN!

Password apps like this shouldn’t be monthly subscriptions like other out there. This knows what it is and what it’s worth with no BS, and I love that!!! I use this to store EVERYTHING! If you’re wanting a safe way to store anything from bank details to login info, look no further! Seriously, stop! Because this is it and it doesn’t get much better than this!!! Get it on your Mac too! You won’t regret it!

To the developers, if I had one gripe for this software, which is more of a suggestion if anything... It needs a little better design. It feels a little bland and outdated looking (even though it isn’t outdated). But this suggestion isn’t functionality based so do it or don’t and I’ll still be happy!

Highly recommend this password manager to everyone

I have used multiple password managers to try and find my “perfect” password manager. A few years ago I came across EnpassPasswordManager and it was instantly my personal perfect password manager.

I have continued to try others from time to time just to see what they offer, so far nothing has surpassed this offering. My absolute favorite part is that I’m able to store and manage my own data, so it’s not tied to some cloud service that I have no control over and am forced to trust. I prefer to store my own passwords, or chose what location online I want to store them.

Great app, keep it up!

Better than Norton or Microsoft

I have been using EnpassPasswordManager for storage of ALL my private information including photos. It is easy to use and share with another person. My wife and I use it across 2 PCs and 2 Phones to keep our passwords and photos of critical items like passports up to date and synced across all platforms.

I recently had an issue when I moved to a new PC. The problem would not have existed except I kept an old version 5 install when all the platforms had V6. They worked hard with me until it was figured out.

Great value, great service

This is the ONE!

Have been looking for something like this to get away from the overpriced and bloated paid iPad/Desktop password managers. There is nothing out there that even comes close to the features and customization settings found in this gem. The desktop is FREE and works seamlessly with the iPad version. With FaceID it is the easiest one I have bought/tried. Did I mention the desktop version is FREE? With the new iPad 2018, all my browsing has switched from the iMac and MacBook to the 12.9. Get this one and you won’t ever look at another subscription/cloud based only wannabe. At $9.99 it is a steal!

Love it - simple & uncluttered.

Face ID makes this even better. Love this. Tried a bunch and this is about the best looking & easiest to use. Only the filled in fields show, so when you look up a password there isn't a clutter of empty un-needed things in the way. Copy/paste works perfectly. Easy to setup & use without a bunch of un-needed or un-wanted extras clogging things up. Really like this. I used the other big time password managers until one morning I opened it up and it was empty, completely wiped clean, not 1password was there. Been using this for several years now and never a burp or problem. Amen.

This app was awesome before the 6.0 update

I’ve used EnpassPasswordManager for about a year and the sole reason I decided to go with Enpass over similar apps was its functionality on the Apple Watch. And now, with this new update, the Apple Watch app seems to no longer work at all. When I open EnpassPasswordManager on my watch, it tells me to “Please enable Apple Watch from Enpass settings” even though it is already enabled. I have tried every variation I can imagine of uninstalling and reinstalling EnpassPasswordManager on my phone and my watch, but it still refuses to work. This is frustrating because I work in an environment where it’s not always good form to use your phone but I still need access to the many passwords I use and, before now, this was an excellent solution to my problem.

BEST VAULT! Passwords*Personal Info*

I have been using the Enpass app about 5-years and it has become my most used app of every day with auto logins of passwords to other personal information I store. I keep service records of my car’s and next time due and setup group’s for each of these types of things same goes for home maintenance items. Take your time doing and setting up your entries in the vault, it’s very easy and quick to do and all kinds of choices to choose from. I recommend EnpassPasswordManager and say it’s # 1.

Version 6 Stopped Me From Moving to LastPass

The latest Enpass update stopped me from migrating over to LastPass. I was on a 30 day trial of LastPass and was liking the additional features but then update 6.0 came out for Enpass so I checked it out. They added multiple vaults, secure sharing, pass key sign in with master password, a new UI, password auditing and better support for Autofill on iOS. I think I’m sticking with Enpass now since I like being able to host it on my own cloud. The only thing I noticed was scrolling is a little jerky on my iPhone 8.

Excellent App

So, my life is a tech mess, I have devices of every kind, being used on the go, with security being a priority. EnPass just works on everything. I run it on my work PC even with restricted run permissions. All my passwords are in my own cloud, which is huge - far away from both the workplace data police, and the internet at large. EnpassPasswordManager changed my life. I put super-complicated, sensitive data in, and don’t worry, because I can unlock it with a fingerprint, and nobody else knows where to even look.
