Adam 4 Adam is basically another version of Grindr, same app, different name/ design. The gay community on these apps is superficial, obnoxious, vapid, insincere and shallow much like the gay community in general. To add insult to injury, neither apps take into account the fact that maybe, just maybe, there are blind people in this comunity who would like to take part in it to find love. But seeing as this community is so shallow I guess blind people aren't worthy enough of being in the club right? By the way, it is against the law to make an app inaccessible knowingly as that is discrimination and a violation of the ADA. The constant ads are annoying as well. Even when I try the VIP trial for 7 days the ads still don't go away. Honestly I'm not sure what app to recommend as most the apps I've tried are not blind-friendly. Okcupid had potential but it too went picture and gif based and became inaccessible for the blind. At one point Okcupid was the most accessible dating app out there but now they've become just as bad.

It starts like this - random guy reaches out to you. (I like this). But you notice they turned off this distance. Or, their distance is turned on and they are 3 miles away. You begin to wonder how I never bumped into this guy before. They insist on moving the texting to hangouts or your cell phone. But you insist on staying here. They tell you they work a few time zones away. Hmmm, I thought he was 3 miles away. Then, they say they are on peacekeeping mission in a country in the Middle East. They want to know everything about you. Where were your born, when is your birthday, where your siblings live, what do you do for a living? They want to visit you, but some one stole their wallet. Can you send a money check, well just the check number so they can buy a ticket. So, you report them to Adam 4 Adam. Their customer service deletes your account for spam. Hmmm, sounds like Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A has a platform for this type of criminal activity

Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A runs by some very strict photo standards. I have a picture of myself in a bar and that keeps getting rejected because you can see someone’s tiny face somewhere in the background. I’ve uploaded the same picture on just about every other dating app and have never had an issue until now. Their verification process also takes too long, which makes adding new pictures frequently a hassle. Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A even has issues letting me add certain things like my weight and it’s very buggy in general. I downloaded it because it had decent reviews so I figured it was worth a shot. However I will be deleting it and it’s not worth the monthly fee. It’s also issues like these that make most guys stick to Grindr, not as buggy in my experience but full of bots. I suppose all of these apps just have certain trade offs that you have to be willing to put up with in order to find someone online and this one is no different.

1.. Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A has been “disappearing” as of late - I’ll go to open it and my screen is black. About 24 hours, it’ll come back. This has happened 2 or 3 times in the last month (and it’s currently doing it right now!) and my phone’s operating system is completely up-to-date.

2. The fake profiles. OMG the fake profiles. I get hit up by at least one a day, always from the same approximate distance which I have determined is Ghana (but sometimes distance isn't listed), the pics are of cheesed-up glam models, and they are looking for serious LOVE. Then they claim to be from California, or Florida, or the somewhere in the Heartland, and they’ve in the military on peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan or Iraq or... and want your WhatsApp # after the second of third message. And sometimes they call me Dear. AND when i tell them I know they’re from Africa they block me; can’t A4A just do the same to them? And why do I have this problem here but not on Scruff? Frankly, I love talking to guys from Africa, and honestly I sometimes seek them out for chat; but the fake profiles are OBVIOUS.

3. The new noisy animated ads that appear when you open Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A are super annoying!!! Almost as annoying as getting hit up by pushy fake profiles.

4. The Message indicator often tells me I have a message when I really don’t. Or that I have three messages when there are really only two.

I use Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A every few months. However sometimes there’s always some kind of bug or glitch that won’t allow me to sign up or again. Recently I created an account but was immediately banned for uploading a shirtless photo. I get there are rules but most sites like this allow shirtless photos so I’m not sure what was different this time. At the very least I could have got a warning or a message saying it goes against community standards and uploaded a different type of photo instead of banning me before I even got a chance to sign in. Now a few days later I’m not even sure if the inability to create another account is due to a ban on my device or just another glitch or bug on Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A .

I pay the VIP/Pro ad service in order to advertise my profession as a Certified Massage Therapist. However the website and the Ap version of A4A doesn’t not support advertising of Therapeutic CMT’s or LMT’s. But they do allow for promoting “Masseurs” (and most other professions) thereby implying these professionals give sexual Sevices for exchange of money. When I try to clarify that I am a therapeutic CMT in the body of my profile or in the “Profession” field my text is removed stating that I can not list my profession there. However I see Masseur along with every other profession, including Accountants, Doctors etc naming there profession. It is quite obvious Adam4Adam is discriminating against Therapeutic CMTs and LMTs and trying to box my profession in with Masseurs. Not that I have any problem with Masseurs and other sex workers, the fact of the matter Therapeutic CMTs are not able to promote themselves here and not Masseurs!!!
I’m disappointed with Adam4Adams service, there discrimination against my profession and them implying that therapeutic therapists are the same as masseurs.

Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A is frequently overtaken by full-page ads that can’t be closed. Your only option is to force quit and open again. And the ads that *can* be closed? The X that you must tap to close them is so tiny that it’s almost impossible to hit it correctly. 80% of the time it registers as a touch on the ad, causing the linked product to open. And the X is positioned so that it overlaps the status bar at the top of the screen, so it is partially covered by cellular service strength indicator bars. This is all clearly done intentionally and in bad faith. Apple should ban them from Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A Store until they bring their product into compliance with basic usability guidelines. And Apple should make it easier to report such instances of bad actors on Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A Store

Many (most?) accounts on here are fake with pics of models. Are usually far away with explanations that they are in military serving overseas (think many are actually in Africa running scams). All looking for love and ltr. They immediately try to get your name and very quickly move conversation offline where they continue con which includes falling in love quickly and eventually getting things like funds, iTunes cards or more info on you. I suspect multiple fake accounts are run by same people. I understand may be difficult to prevent but what frustrates me is that after I send multiple feedbacks nothing is ever done. I was told once that a member was suspended and I should block account but I did not block and so I could see his account remained active. I shrugged off at first but was disappointed to learn there are many gullible / lonely guys who do fall for these scams. A4A is more interested in artificially high number of accounts than a site for *real* men to *safely* connect on.

The only reason I didn’t give them 1 star is because they are responsive they just have trouble delivering. As a new member setting up my profile the system gave me an error message when I tried to enter my weight at 173. Weight invalid. Well that’s what I weigh. After several emails back and forth they finally updated my profile for me but with a weight of 170. I was clear in my messages that I weigh 173. I realize that it’s not much but it isn’t the truth. I’m still trying after three days to get them to correct it. Now you think they’d be more interested in why the feature has a bug and would want to fix that but hey what do I know? I’m busy trying to lose three pounds. Sigh.

1. One objection is why so many guys from 5000 miles away text me. They’re either young, looking for a sugar daddy, or in the military serving in Iraqi.
2. Deleting someone who somehow got into your favorites is almost impossible. I did it once, but have since failed.
3. A selected search using filters is hard to implement. Men over 50 is an example.
4. Some terms need an explanation. Solo was one. Too many guys don’t know if they are bottoms, or seek a top in preferences.
5. Guys can send winks, but words can’t be added, to flesh it out. That wasn’t always so. Winks are rude, in requiring little to say hello, demonstrate an interest. You have to exit, find the wink in messages, to add a thought.

The iPhone applications version of this program is not as intuitive to the iOS software. Simple iPhone gestures such a a hard swipe to the right to exit out of someone’s profile or a conversation thread are non existent. That type of feature is very common in many applications for the iPhone nowadays. Just feels crunchy on mobile. Profile photographs do not zoom out when you click to view them. They stay in the same zoomed in cropped state. I’d have to launch the web version of this program on my PC in order to view profile photographs in their normal states. Aside from that, I think the apple iPhone application is ok. Would rather use the website version on PC instead due to the lack of intuitiveness for mobile version.

Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A allows people to lie about their location. Because they have decided not to fix such problem, (and because it’s free) there is mostly older people, like me, nostalgic of a time when we needed to go on AOL to log in, and scammers, from Ukraine, Brazil or Nigeria, trying to trick old timers stupid enough to be tricked into sending them our dollars by becoming long-distance sugar daddies. So when someone young comes here and tells me he is looking for a relationship, I know what they are looking for, and I don’t even waste my time in replying…

Also, this website stays “connected” even when it is in the background, which points to a potential security flaw (on iOS, the “blue” light on the upper left side stays on when you minimize it, something that only apps like Maps do). Now, they even have ads in Chinese!

But I keep logging in, thinking of a time when A4A was “it”, while it is probably selling my info to someone in Ukraine anyway.

I should look for a better excuse not to spend my sleepless nights poring over some business reports. Like an Ambien.

Quite often the distance will be really far and the profile will say that they’re looking for a relationship. Maybe some people like that stuff. But chatting with one or two of these you got to realize they are just looking for money and your private information. They often have a distance of over 5000 miles away that’s why I say foreign profiles. Also the neighborhoods got removed in San FranciscoFor our profiles so you just have a couple of locations in San Francisco before you have the neighborhoods. And I don’t know sometimes when logging in at a distance for my location can be calculated correctly So I’ll be in San Francisco looking at profiles that say 1 mile away but I think they now are further away I don’t know just check it out

It’s a good app, the new added pop-up ads are annoying, especially when you’re quietly trying to browse at work and all of a sudden an ad pops up and it’s extremely loud! People that use Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A are lazy they will logon and sit on it all day long, hardly ever wanting to meet. I guess we’re all lonely and this is our way of being validated that there are others out there in the community like us? Kind a like looking at the oldPersonal ads in the old days. Lots of fake ads from all over the world so you have to be careful with that. Other than that it’s about as best as you can expect for a free dating app

I believe it looks like someone has mentioned most all the issues I was going to in a review already recently. So please fix them. I too can’t delete old messages of someone is blocked and other things they mentioned as well Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A doesn’t do. I went on this morning and it kept saying erro when I tapped the chat button on someone I wanted to message. So I restarted my cell afterwards thinking it might fix the error maybe it didn’t close all the way or something. Went back, same thing, tried another person. Same error message popped up on them too and another. And I know I’m not blocked. So what’s up? Fix this please!!! It was working yesterday.

So...ever since the switch over of ownership on the Grindr app, it’s been tough getting to date others. Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A is the best alternative by far. Although there are some bots, the moderation takes them down almost immediately. Overall, I’m really satisfied with Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A but I wish that Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A had slightly less ads on it by putting them on the bottom of the screen or something like that.

You will meet the most oddest, the most silliest and most caring people on it. And maybe if you’re lucky, you might just find the right Adam to your Adam haha jk but you know what i mean. You can’t save a search. Means you always have to enter and reenter every time you search. You cannot delete a message if the user has been blocked by A4A or an advertisement from them. They indicate you have messages when all you have you have read. When you look explore, everyone is 5,000 miles away, not exactly what I am looking for. Why would anyone up grade an app when the free part does not do what it states. I have done this and found my money was wasted. They have no way to contact them. That is fine for free apps but don’t waste your money on any app where you cannot have contact with the owner or his staff. It is mostly a scam.

I downloaded Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A chose creat an account Decided on a user name put in my password said everything was ok needed to verify my account. Went to my email clicked on their link to verify my email. It said thank you. Please log on. Went to their app attempted to log on. Allowed me to log in and then immediately popped up that my account had been suspended. I attempted to log on to their web site to see why won’t allow me

I wrote them an email asking why it was suspended. No answer. What’s up???? Guess they don’t need new members. They could at least tell me why it was suspended I would give them zero stars but it won’t let you

No room to write about yourself on Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A . Very limited number of characters. Strikes out any words in your profile related to gay interactions of any kind, but at the same time won't let you post pictures of the rest of your life, your garden, your baking, nothing. It's super conflicted. Clearly a company driven by corporate greed and absolutely zero interest at all for the end-users using and paying for their site, just their money. Avoid. There are better options out there. I get the impression they take your payment and then laugh at you for being such a sucker. Want to know about my interests for hooking up? Can't do it. Want to know about the rest of my life? Can't do it.

After updating to iOS13, Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A quit working right and crashes every time I try to open a profile. After going back and forth with support (try another browser? Really?!) they said they’d look at it and... that’s the last I’ve heard about it. Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A is now useless.

Update: I guess the issue was fixed at some point, so updated to 3 stars, but the complete lack of support about the issue (I have yet I hear back) means I only found out by checking once in a while if it wasn’t crashing any more. That crappy support has made this my least favorite app.

Love a4a. As good as other app, a4a has notification immediately when someone sent you a message. A radar to show if someone close. But I recommend the website needs to load more profiles on one page. Where I live in Palm Springs, total members goes up to 900 profiles and total 50 pages, I would not patiently enough to see all 50 pages a time. So that is my concern. Hope it gets fixed soon. Thank you a4a.

I got my first date/ hookup through Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A although I’m using other dating APP’s. I’m a member since the past 8years. The great thing about Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A is that it has both the web & phone versions. Easy to navigate and has a number of cool features which other popular APP’s like Grindr lack. Using Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A, I found a number of great guys & had some wonderful time with them. I’d definitely recommend Adam4AdamGayDatingChatA4A to anyone young or old.
