Horrible

Lots of problems with AmtelcoSecureMessages. Often phone seems unable to establish connection to server so while I get the notification I have a page to answer I can't see who to call. Not infrequently group pages get sent where everyone in my group gets bombarded with repeated messages none of which have content. I miss my pager. Clunky but at least it was reliable.

Horrible

Our answering service was bought out and this is the new app. It is difficult to use, hard to organize, and inconvenient. The last app we used was much more user friendly, required fewer clicks to get things done etc. all the messages look the same, so if you have several, you are digging through to find the one you want. If you have any other option, take it!

Not ready for use

The user interface is awful- Very confusing, poorly organized and implemented. In addition, there have been endless problems getting this to work in our organization. Missed messages, when you send a reply the interface makes it look like it's another message to you from the original sender, duplicate messages, messages in which spaces appear as "%20", etc, etc, etc...

Crappy (very) App

Faculty & trainees all wanted the hospital to get rid of AmtelcoSecureMessages for paging. Unfortunately we are stuck with this crap, must be designed by some very incompetent people. After the recent “upgrade” remains crappy as ever. There is a bubble showing I’ve one unread message but there is no message. Deleting and reinstalling doesn’t solve this problem. One example for the level of dysfunction of this crappy app.

Horrible app and customer service

This “on-call” software doesn’t have customer support on the weekend , this is unacceptable given that I’m receiving patient calls on the weekend and have no way of accessing them through AmtelcoSecureMessages and have no customer support to rectify the issue. The website password reset and support contact goes to a broken link. Go with a different platform

Needs bug fixes asap

Developers recently made cosmetic update but now app takes longer to load and I cannot get back to full inbox from a message chain without app glitching and having to close and reopen app. App tries to auto-predict while typing which adds in letters and words which could easily cause message to be incomprehensible, or worse, convey the wrong message and cause patient harm.

Awful

The interface is poorly designed. It’s painful to use AmtelcoSecureMessages and the only reason I do is because I’m required to. It’s clunky and tedious to open AmtelcoSecureMessages and do anything. AmtelcoSecureMessages was recently updated and it’s much worse. It’s like a high school PowerPoint— everything is moving now when you open a page and it’s unnecessary. It takes longer to do anything and there are extra unnecessary screens/steps to forward a message.

Buggy

To start with it randomly crashes about once a day at least. When it doesn’t crash it takes forever to open. Sometimes it will just have a seizure when refreshing and cycle for a few minutes. When it does open/refresh sometimes the message you send just doesn’t go through. When it does go through the alert is pretty quiet and sometimes nobody notices that a message came through.

If you are looking to adopt this as your secure messaging option, maybe consider not.

Worst messaging app

It crashes a couple times a day, seizures like 20 times before opening the message, then doesn’t always open it with the message thread so you have to go back out and reopen, drains my battery, takes over a minute to open messages, gives me some error message that I didn’t choose a deliverable contact EVEN though I used the address book so I end up having to rewrite message repeatedly. Not sure if it’s better on the newest iPhone but I easily waste at least 30-60m a day trying to get to a message, reply or send for what should take me 5-10 minutes. Rarely does it work smoothly, maybe once or twice in the last 4 weeks.

When is it going to be more Apple Watch friendly?

One of the reasons I got the Apple Watch with the phone capability is so that I can be on call and I don’t have to run with my phone, nor always have my phone on me when I’m on call. Now, thanks to my company switching to your messaging service, I am no longer able to do that. I heard it’s in the works and would appreciate that process being expedited.

Disappointing, has potential

What’s most disappointing is poor integration
With Apple Watch.
It will sometimes appear on the watch, but there should be some mechanism to make it consistent; there should be some feature to allow it to still sound the alarm On the iPhone,
When the watch is set to silent.
Without this feature, A late night call or page,
Can be easily missed.
There should also be a feature to Select the ability to have the alarm sound to register
A “page” when the phone is set on the silent ringer. Similar to the alarm clock on

Truly miss makes me miss the convenience of having a beeper, there is always reliable.
There are also times that even with good Wi-Fi, when there is poor phone access, that AmtelcoSecureMessages is not reliable.

I do like the ability to see details and transmit information back to the service but this could be far more robust
Development: I hope you are listening, please optimize AmtelcoSecureMessages and work onHaving a seamless and more satisfying capacity to work with an Apple Watch.

Functionality removed

Devs appeared to have made cosmetic improvements but removed useful functionality. For example, you can no longer copy the phone number out of a message. There is only an option to dial the number directly with your phone.

Ok App

It would be nice if AmtelcoSecureMessages would: open via Touch ID
And read messages out loud. This is an issue because I get pages when driving a car.
Otherwise overall a generic app.

Excellent Tech Support

I have been using AmtelcoSecureMessages for a few weeks as it is supported by my answering service so they can send me HIPPA compliant messages. I recently moved up to an iPhone 6, but AmtelcoSecureMessages would save the license. I was able to get tech support today, a Sunday, to fix the problem. If you need secure messaging, get AmtelcoSecureMessages.

Great

Works as intended. It is HIPAA compliant so if you don’t want to have to open AmtelcoSecureMessages to read the message this is not for you.
Giving it 4 stars because it is missing the auto-reply feature which is desperately needed.

Let’s me be in control of my messages

Works good. I like being able to see my on call schedule and messages in the same app. Keeps my messages secure and I can respond to my answering service without calling in.

Manager

Excellent application. Meets HIPAA compliance requirements while also meeting physician workflow needs. Provides read receipts, date and time stamp, and also a means to send attachments. Easy to use! Amtelco keeps the application current with driving technologies and user needs.

Great App

The use of AmtelcoSecureMessages paired with the web use has made such an impact on our staff. The response time is great. The response times to patient care has greatly improved. A+ and highly recommended. Keep up the great work!

Keeps our business HIPAA compliant

Excellent app that keeps our Answering Service business HIPAA complaint along with our clients.
Fast transmission of messages with documented date and time read receipts.
Amtelco is excellent with support.

The app works well.

They have a good support team.
