My husband and I were running late for a birthday party in San Francisco. We were at the end of a 5 hour drive and driving our 9’5” high sprinter van as we were planning to camp later in the weekend. Knowing we wouldn’t have much time to park, we tried to find a spot for a tall van on parkopedia. Thankfully we found one - 555 California parking garage which is listed as accepting vehicles up to 11’6” tall. We reserved and got there as quickly when we could. When we arrived, the attendant told us that they have a 7’7” height requirement for vehicles and the 11’6” height was for delivery trucks only and not for the parking garage! We were so bummed. After some time we managed to find a spot on the street and parked there despite the fact that we had both our mountain bikes and various other items exposed and were very nervous about being robbed.

I emailed parkopedia that evening asking for a refund and to change the posting for that parking garage. They responded after 2 days, demanding a receipt for where I had parked instead. Since I had parked on the street after hours it was free and have no receipt. A quick call to the parking garage will easily verify our situation. Thanks for almost ruining our evening and for continuing to upset me for a measly $12. Will never use your app again.

Try to access current or previous reservation. This makes ParkopediaParking pretty useless. Maybe you will have better luck and it is free so it is worth trying. But I could not use ParkopediaParking . I just used my computer for the reservation and then the confirmation email on the phone to scan at the parking garage.

I used parkopedia this week for the first time for an evening in downtown Seattle. I looked at options ahead of time and used the filter to set the date and duration for my evening. I saved a couple options and parked at one of them. Then came back to garage to pick up my car and was shocked to see my car locked inside a closed garage! Why would I be given options for parking that isn’t open for the times I set??? Guess I shouldn’t put trust in ParkopediaParking to give me accurate information and go ahead and do the research myself.
Thankfully I was able to call and have an attendant let me in to get my car and drive out. But spoiled an otherwise nice evening out.

Reserved way ahead of time for an event and when I got there the parking lot attendant turned us away stating he didn’t have any spaces available. I let him know that we had a reservation and paid $25 for parking and he said it wasn’t his problem, they don’t communicate reservations to him. What’s the point of paying ahead if they don’t have some kind of system in place in order to communicate this?? Ended up parking at a metered space for free!! Waste of time and money!

I purchased ParkopediaParking with the intent on reserving parking spaces in our busy downtown are. I live in the 3rd largest city in our state, where more than 100,000 people attended the same football game, so it’s not a small town. We have about 10 large garages downtown and slews of metered and street parking spaces with about a dozen or more private surface lots that rent by the hour or by the event. According to ParkopediaParking , the are only 3 garages in our downtown that allow for reserving spaces through ParkopediaParking. Unfortunately, 2/3 of those garages will only “reserve” by the month and the other garage is not anywhere close to where I am wanting to park. Another major complaint that I have is not being able to save my login and password. This infuriates me, as a see no reason to guard this information in the phone that I must first unlock to access ParkopediaParking and that there really are virtually no spaces that can be reserved anyway.

Been using ParkopediaParking for years to park find parking garages in SF that my work van will fit in. But when I open ParkopediaParking today and was looking at all the garages listed height they are all now in metric! No longer see it in feet and inches. Now shows height in meters. Now I am not going to argue standard over metric. Totally understand everyone has their preference of measurement. But could you make it setting choice in ParkopediaParking to which measure choice we prefer to see when looking at the MAX Height in the garage information details?

I purchased my reservation. Went to the location. Parked in a spot not marked reserved. Was able to pay $9 for all day parking in an area parking is extremely expensive on the weekend.

I seriously paid $1 and hour for a parking garage only 2 blocks away from where another garage was charging $40. It’s been such a money saver. I loved ParkopediaParking. Found it when it was advertised by Coffee con in La for their event.

I always check Parkopedia when I need to park somewhere unfamiliar to me. Soooo helpful!!! There’s nothing worse than parking for $25 and walking to your destination and you see closer parking for $8. Parkopedia solves that. 5 stars!!

ParkopediaParking is a great idea. The info may be occasionally dated but it is great that they allow users to provide updates and comments which then improve ParkopediaParking . I find they also respond to comments within a couple days which is satisfactory. Thanks!

If you live in a busy city (especially one that isn’t very “driving friendly”) like Melbourne ParkopediaParking is seriously a life saver. Half the battle or driving into the city is finding affordable parking because it is so outrageously expensive (around $30 an hour is normal). I wish I knew about ParkopediaParking sooner because it is saving me so much money. Thank you for existing Parklopedia!
