Great for remote tutoring

My tutor and I use SyncSpace for virtual/remote tutoring sessions. The tutor also has SyncSpace and we share a collaborate whiteboard while on a phone call with each other!

Awkward/Buggy Zoom & Picture Dragging/Magnification

The only problem is that Whenever the I zoom by pinching the screen (like the previous version) it immediately zooms all the way. If you keep on smooth ending the zooming capacity of SyncSpace, I will definitely recommend SyncSpace to my friends. I would also add that dragging and manipulating pictures is not that smooth either. Whenever I enlarge/move/rotate pictures, I have difficulty making symmetrical or straight arrangements. The results are usually messy or lopsided. Please fix these issues. I have been generous by rating SyncSpace with four stars,

Take a picture and use it as the background

My son has two homes. I help him with his math homework when he is at his mother's home. It would be nice for him to take a picture of a math problem, especially a graph or complicated problem, and use it as the background. Then, we can spend more time on marking it up instead of me trying to draw it from scratch.

Getting Close

This is the first app I've seen that does shared whiteboard well. This is a great way to collaborate.

Needs a few more "just works the way you want it" features to be perfect. My list: it's still really hard to connect to somebody else, and involves sending an email to their iPad. I can't just call up and say "jump to board xc6972" and they're connected.

Once connected, it's pretty good. Does need some sort of "follow" feature too so you can see (at the right zoom level and location) what somebody else is drawing.

Bonus feature would be the ability to import your own backgrounds - drawing on a screenshot to explain what could change is a great use case, but now I'm going above and beyond :-). It would get 5 stars if it had any 2 of those three features.

Easy to use but missing key features

For the price (FREE) this isn't a bad application to use for quick note taking, but there are other apps that have an UNDO feature and more integration with DropBox or Evernote. This one currently emails as PDF or allows you to send to Facebook, Twitter and Campfire (dunno what this is).

I had it installed, but never used it. Played with it before deleting but didn't see any feature that would keep me using it

Great app with one fatal flaw

SyncSpace does such a great job mimicking use of a whiteboard. I love the colors available and the line sizes, and how user friendly it is.
The fatal flaw: I won't let me connect my Apple Pencil, so when I write on it, my palm constantly makes marks on my screen that I have to erase. It takes up extra time and I wish that it was fully comparable with apple iPads.

Would like to see gesture based features.

The panning around could be improved upon by incorporating something like three finger gesture where you can move around the canvas if you move it with three fingers instead of selecting the button

Useful but too buggy

I use SyncSpace heavily, because there's nothing else quite like it. If there was, I would switch in an instant. SyncSpace crashes constantly. Rooms corrupt and require SyncSpace to be deleted and reinstalled, which destroys access to the existing rooms. Syncing to the server is sporadic and unpredictable. If this worked it would be the single most useful tool I use for my job, teaching online. As it is, I search for a replacement daily.

great app

This is exactly what I have been looking for. A really well done whiteboard-type app that I can use to collaborate with colleagues remotely in real time. The drawing is smooth and the zooming feature is really cool. I am very impressed with the quality of SyncSpace.

Nicely done, with room to improve

This is pretty much what i was hoping to find - an infinite scrolling zooming rotating canvas with text image and freehand drawing.

Will echo desire for Apple Pencil, and have no doubt the developer will deliver eventually.

Wish it had stickers or skins so I could make cuter collaborations :)

So far so good

Drawing is good . But so far I cannot totally rely on it.
Reasons:
Every time after I zoom out, I cannot find what I wrote easily, especially when I wrote two more areas which is not close, then even if I use the home button, hardly locate properly.

Still room for improvement!

This is the best shared whiteboard product so far

I've tried a lot of shared whiteboard apps, and this is the best one I've found.

Any news on a Retina update for the new iPad?

Two things that would make SyncSpace perfect:

- Avoid the use of a special mode to move and zoom — using two fingers to pinch (for zoom) and drag (for panning) would make it much faster to work with.

- Deleting parts of a drawing should be easier, the current rectangle select + randomly appearing trash can isn't exactly elegant. And; Undo is a must-have. :)

Keep up the good work!

Win32???

SyncSpace looks like it would meet my classroom needs; however, when I go to collaborate online I'm informed that there is not yet a Win32 version. These are school computers, so I can't mess with them. Any ideas?

By

one way?

It looks good but apparently when I am sharing with somebody on PC they could not participate in drawing - just watch. This is one major shortcoming as in collaborative sessions you could not expect everybody to have an iPad. Besides that it looks good.

Incredibly useful for brainstorming

I don't know what I'd do without it! Although it does need an update for the iPad pro which I've been assured is coming.

great app!!especially words hide word

please release an universal version for both iPad and iphone, thx

Great remote whiteboard

Simple to use. Works well. Love the infinite zoom/pan.
The upgrade is awesome. Usability is well thought out. Can now zoom/pan with 2 fingers. Undo is really handy.

Awesome app.

Very useful for quickly sketching and sharing ideas with colleagues and friends. I am hoping that Apple will integrate this into their ‘Airdrop’ service (‘Airsketch’?).

Will not work with airserver or Apple TV

I love the capabilities of SyncSpace, but am very disappointed that it will not show on an external display. I want to use this in my science class for students to create drawings and diagrams but need to be able to model SyncSpace for the class. Please fix this!
