MSNBC Status

The newly redesigned MSNBC app for IOS is terrible. Every time I start the livestream, it opens a new tab. Why? I end up with 10 open tabs before I realize it. Then it constantly freezes. Watching MSNBC via the NBC app for Vizio TV is equally bad in different ways. After 10 minutes, I get "Uh oh you need to add this channel...". I have my provider linked. The only app that works well most of the time is the Roku app. I do not have these problems with other apps. Your competitors are much better. Paramount+ is great. CNN is great. Hulu is great. Even Peacock is great. Get it together NBC/MSNBC. You quite literally have the worst performing apps.

I have a Roku device and Xfinity cable. When streaming and I select the NBC app, I navigate to Networks and select MSNBC. The app appears to want to stream the current show but immediately fails with a Cloudpath Error Authorization msg. I’ve been watching MSNBC streaming for more than one year, without problems. If I switch to cable, I can watch MSNBC. This seems to have started around the beginning of January. Is there a fix? Do I need to do something differently?

Have XFINITY & MSNBC crashed today around 4pm & still not functioning!!! Very frustrating Forget getting an answer from Xfinity

Msnbc live: Screen goes blank while audio continues.

The quality of your news content and the anchors and disseminators is first class. But your App completely undermines those efforts because it is glitchy, bug ridden and borderline unwatchable. I have never in my life experienced more spinning wheels than with your app. Audio is frequently out of sync and audio volumes are all over the place requiring repeated manual adjustment. Leaving the app sometimes does not disconnect audio which continues outside of the app. Opening the app frequently two audio tracks are playing simultaneously - one holdover audio from when you last left the app and the new audio track from reopening the app. The only way to get rid of this dual audio is to trigger the audio in another app before going back your app. I could write an essay on everything that is wrong with your app but I have better things to do with my life. Just know this - you are sabotaging the best news on the Internet. This issue should be escalated to your chief executive so that all the bad code and glitches are fixed in an overhaul of the app. I am an extremely loyal viewer but my patience is being tested beyond endurance.

audio extremely out of sync

I do not have audio on my MSNBC app. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it. Still not audio. I am able to hear sound on all other apps installed on my iPhone. What can I do to 'hear' what is showing on my app again?

all I can get on my tv are prerecorded segments of msnbc. Can't open live, current programing

For over a week I have tried to browse the shows I watch every day (multiple shows) and I get the message saying that the video has failed and try again. and that I should go into settings, which I've done, and I've turned the phone on and off and I am getting the same messages. I can't watch Lawrence O'Donnel, or Dateline or Chris Hayes...etc. I am only getting live tv FIX THIS!

Viewing MSNBC via Sling on Roku platform, there are frequent dropouts and crashes.

Tonight, App starts to load a clip then gives a failure message about can't load, looping back to the main menu where it picks another clip and fails. Tried restarting Apple TV, removed and reinstalled app, no change.

On my iphone xr I intermittently (but OFTEN) get a failure message. Occurs on both wifi networks in my home. FRUSTRATING!!!

The MSNBC channel is having issues (Midtown, NYC) The sound and picture is off - lagging and the image is broken up completely. All other channels are working. Perhaps it is RCN/Astound. At one point, I got a message on my tv saying I can not access MSNBC because I am not a subcriber? WHAT? FAKE NEWS!

iPhone app closes when focus is directed to another app (text, phone, email). Watching/listening to MSNBC, program randomly changes to another NBC program. Can this be avoided?

I have the MSNBC app on my iPhone and I stream it to my Roku TV. Up until about 6 months ago, I was able to continue watching while I did other things on my iPhone such as reading email. For some reason, that stopped and now I have to keep my iPhone on the MSNBC app and also have to change my screen settings so that my phone does not go to sleep. If my phone goes to sleep, the app stops streaming to my TV. This did not happen before.

Fix the F*cking app. Echo and crosstalk persistent. Offload/ reinstall, doesn’t work. The app has serious issue. Since February can no longer go back 30 minutes on live cast only 30 seconds; and that doesn’t even work right.

The app has no audio when watching the live feed. It’s been like this for over a week. What is the timeline for a fix? Thx

Audio on app has not worked for 2 months! I have deleted and downloaded again several times. My son is having the same problem. This started with the last update.

No sound with MSNBC app on my iphone. Other apps work fine. Have deleted app and re installed. App works my ipad. I looked for mute button found nothing. CC works. This started about two months ago. Phone up-to-date. Rebooted. Still no sound.

beginning March 2023, nbc news app (ver 4.0) crashes after 3-5 seconds on roku 4 (11.5.0 build 4312-17). other news apps work fine. crash problem persists after clean app re-install (after reboot), moving roku adjacent to wifi/router. glitch pattern points to nbc news app.

This is my news outlet. I watch everyday loyally. There are some bugs or issues that now make it impossible to watch crashing ,tiling ,freezing every 10 seconds etc .constantly!. this is NOT Ok to operate this way and it seems no one is even attempting to fix the issues I know by now you know they exist. You apparently do not care that much about your ratings or your loyal customers to put out a product that is about Viewership this way.Diminished to the point I am going to leave and maybe 1 day I will see someone say they finally fixed their issues. No one seems to care about it so far and been this way over 2 months now at my house. Feedback . I hope it doesn`t freeze up on you every 10 seconds like your programing. Unfortunate because it`s the best news on tv you have made un-watchable

Tired of MSNBC dropping out every hour, on the hour. Tried all of the suggestions, nothing works. Tired of this crap.

I can't get msnbc to stop crashing. It does it on the firestick and my TCL smart TV. It's so frustrating to have the picture freeze or just dump me back to the main screen.

Using Roku. Every hour, on the hour, usually in the evening, MSNBC drops out with "parental control" error. Usually turn off the TV and do a restart. Or, have to unplug it to clear it. What is causing this? Really aggravating.
