Yemeksepeti: Food & Grocery Reviews

Im from the states so I understand that my issue with using this app is a software issue. Yemeksepeti will MAKE you order food from certain neighborhoods, or rather the neighborhood your in. If you are craving good food from a great restaurant thats 15 minutes away, FORGET ABOUT IT! Yemeksepeti WILL NOT allow you to order from said restaurant if its not in your designated area, thus FORCING you to order food from local restaurants. Im a vegetarian and I know of maybe 2 restaurants that serve vegetarian burgers and dishes. There is a place I love that is 0.7 miles away from my home and yet since that restaurant is in another neighborhood Yemeksepeti will not deliver to my house, it’s ridiculous!! I could tale the 15-20 minute walk or drive there but on a lazy night this terrible app FORCES me to settle for something less! That said thereare many alternatives to ordering food but sadly they are all simple copies of one another with different names.

Yemeksepeti makes me crazy. The list of restaurants is so long it could take hours to scroll through, and there is no reasonable order that they are presented. Even worse, the options for limiting the search are embarrassingly limited themselves, as if the cost of delivery and whether a restaurant I currently open or not are the only factors effecting our choices for ordering. If I type in a word to search, that exact word has to be in the title of the restaurant or else it will not come up, and just like this review, if the keyboard, there is no way to choose it (like now I am typing but the text doesn’t scroll, so I can’t see if I’m making mistakes or change them if I am. And that random text at the end is there because I literally cannot access it from here. It’s embarrassing for a modern app to be so clumsy.

I highly recommend Yemeksepeti for everyone, I'm a foreigner student in Turkey and I don't speak Turkish, but Yemeksepeti is so easy to use, you can check all types of food and hundreds of restaurants, easy for registration, and you can check all prices and lists of food etc. and you can't get any problem with it, in addition, the live support can deal with you in English language.

The best application in istanbul, they some missing English languages but im sure they can be better... and they have some missing photos but over all i likes very friendly and it is the best application i have used many application but this one is best one

Also cuz I’m new in the city I don’t speak a word of Turkish so I find it difficult to order when most of restaurants don’t add photos and the description is also in Turkish even though I’ve already changed Yemeksepeti language

As a non Turkish speaker I assumed when changing the language to English would actually make the menus English. It does not. So I am stuck using google translate to order…from other reviews, it sounds like this level of incompetence has been prevalent for many years with zero improvement. Sounds like there needs to be a few executives fired, since leadership comes from the top down, these failures started and have stayed at the top.

you can’t add multiple addresses without changing the city or removing the previous addresses from the list of the saved ones. That has caused me a huge problem since I was intending to use Yemeksepeti to send someone a birthday cake as a surprise. Since Yemeksepeti accepts one address and phone number as a part of the address, the recipient also received a notification about the gift. The situation was a complete mess! How can be such a bug??!!!

Yemeksepeti is actually the best when it comes to food, i’ve been using for a year now and as a foreigner all you have to do is a simple registration and then you can order whatever you want and you don’t need to speak Turkish! I’d give it 10 out of 5. I highly recommend it

I’m using this app for more than 4 years but they became worst year by year and I deleted this application due to their lack of support and never answer the messages and always replying the same messages for 4 years and I never suggest this application to anyone anymore, now you can find a better applications can help and deliver your order on time better than this app by levels, I wish if I can write a report about them and their support center the worst support center ever.

Is it possible to receive push notifications when my order is out for delivery? I can see that info inside Yemeksepeti but push notification would be great. I’ll give one more star for that. Thanks!

As a user it was frustrating that I needed to translate all the options to actually understand the order details. I selected English but all the menu was still in Turkish. I spent literally an hour to order 1 pizza and soda from Dominos. Imagine the friction in endured to process my order solely from having to manually translate the options.

The process of adding my address and home details were also not user friendly nor promoted at the right time.

There was a problem with my order so apparently this app called me. I didn’t know it was them. Some random 850 number. I get a ton of spam so I don’t pick up random calls.

this app has now cancelled all my orders and customer service tells me unless I change my number I can’t order again. Why? Because I didn’t pick up their one call

I’m not gonna go out get a new phone number because of this. Because I didn’t pick up my phone once.

Simple is hard. You may not achieve it even if you have loads of money. Turkish Airlines for example, spent probably thousands on their new fancy website but it’s crap. These guys definitely succeeded. It’s a simple, easy-to-use app. Proud as a Turk living in the Silicon Valley.

If you are a tourist and you dont know about the city , Yemeksepeti will make ur life much more easier . You can find any kind restaurants and its very easy to use .

If you’ve just come to Turkey and don’t know the language yet, you’re gonna need to download Yemeksepeti immediately or you’ll be eating terrible food for as long as you stay in Turkey or will have to pay too much for too little.

Y’all need to add more languages, it really makes it hard for us to order especially if there are no sit down restaurants and this is the only way to get food delivered.

I tried to order several times every time they told me update when I update the hotel number they cancel my order when I chat with help service they told me your info not update it when I say that this only for Turkish people someone called to my hotel they told we will send your order to the restaurant , however after two hours waiting and I’m so hungry I gave up I order from the hotel because there is no option unfortunately 😵

this app stole my money. I have emailed them multiple times and contacted their customer service but no one has reached out to me. The restaurant I ordered food from even contacted this app and told them to give me a refund but they have not refunded my money. If has been 3 weeks since I first contacted. They’re nothing but THIEVES. this app doesn’t care about customers. I will use Getir from now out because Getir has integrity and they treat customers with respect.

Few years ago I tried to use it in English and even when I selected English every thing was in Turkish I said it’s ok maybe it’s an a new app and I ordered with the help of our hotel reception and today I downloaded it to order and it’s the same problem every thing in Turkish!!!, i was speechless for years you didn’t even tried to Solve this problem,When you say you have English please translate every thing so every body can use Yemeksepeti

A very helpful app especially for foreign people. Just one thing, sometimes I order food and it takes an hour before it comes, is there any way to cancel my order in such cases?

a must for foreigners like me who doesn’t speak turkish. Not all the restaurants are in their data base, but is a survival app when ordering over the phone becomes almost impossible.

Application didn’t work suddenly, and says something went wrong!!!!!!!!! Also Yemeksepeti is already updated!

The companies need more food pictures and there probably would be more sells. I bet more foreign people use Yemeksepeti

The English language is not very good as a foreign customer I couldn’t use it. The menus were still in Turkey and I couldn’t understand the food names I had to use google translate which took a lot of my time. Although I would say overall it’s a good app for those who speak Turkish lol

This application is great but please add these two features, first push notification to inform when the food is ready to deliver, and second, add English description for all items and foods.
