NS Travel Planner Reviews

NSTravelPlanner is easy to use and much more comprehensive than the transit support in maps (or google maps). All the information you need is right at your fingertips. The only minor issue is that the disruption information is only in Dutch (I just copy/paste into google translate).

NSTravelPlanner is brilliant and extremely accurate! Not only kept me on time but also able to time a different train of needed. I wouldn't live with out it! If you travel get it!

I think there must be a simple with to connect personal ov chip card with NSTravelPlanner do that you can simple check in and out with you phone. It sounds simple but would be one of the best feature.

By far this is the best app I have ever tried for using public transportation in any country.

Great app that looks and works perfectly. It only misses Apple Watch support, just like the NS International app.

I bought a train ticket on NSTravelPlanner and when I tried to scan it in the train station, it wouldn’t work. When I contacted customer support they told me they could not refund the ticket even though I had never used it. A waste of my money and time.

I use NSTravelPlanner a lot, but all disruptions messages are in Dutch. Actually the better will be to have translation, but maps also helps a lot, especially because I don't remember all roads :) Please, keep trying to support more languages

App Store says its available in English and Dutch. But there’s nothing in English, which is bizarrely provincial given how many expats are living in NL and using NS services. If you have time and patience, get this, else wait until (if ever) a language besides Dutch is supported.

Arrived in Netherlands. Data roaming on phone is working well. But all NSTravelPlanner does is state “something went wrong when requesting trips”. No functionality available at all. Useless.

Why is the process of buying tickets and retrieving them so convoluted

Apple Pay not supported. Additionally NSTravelPlanner indicated amex is accepted, however it is not. The payment screen does not display in English!

This is a must have app for traveling in The Netherlands. It provides all you need to plan for train travel in that country to include ticket purchasing. Great for business travel in NL!

Finally a nice app for the Dutch trains. Doesn't fail as much as the non-free "Trein"-app (ripoff alert)

On iPad the multiple stacking panels are a waste of screen real estate and the narrow strips make it difficult and confusing to find information. The panel animation is distracting and the speed and bounce of the panel animation is dizzying and makes NSTravelPlanner unpleasant to use.

Thank you for updating the reverse to-from icon!!! This small change makes a world of difference for the everyday commuter.

It would be great to have:

- train names listed, so travelers can be certain the train they are taking is correct. Sometimes trains come a minute early or late and this would help us know which one to take rather than just assuming the time and track is accurate.
- English for disruptions.
- submission for lost items or reporting incidents

Very promising app for tourists and new implants but wish it had an English language option.

Completely useless. Judging from the reviews, the developers have been sitting on their butts, doing nothing for more than a month.

Well, I selected English in settings, but the disruptions only shows Dutch, so this was not helpful for me. I'm hoping for an update to correct this.

Ziet er leuk uit, werkt snel, heeft handige optie voor jaarkaart houders en push updates voor de reis.

My train was canceled and NSTravelPlanner did not notify me, even though it has in the past and all my notifications are on. Now I'm late for work!!
