4.6 out of 5
Deeply flawed

Times out when other apps work fine. Kludgy interface. Sends text message to my phone about messages I’ve already been notified about via push. Just poorly executed and not well thought through.

No notifications

Despite multiple attempts working with the support team, my perfect serve does not notify me of new messages with any sound. All app and phone settings are appropriately set. This causes long delays in patient care unless I force myself to check PerfectServePractitioner several times an hour which takes me away from other work that’s needed.

Glitchy

Very glitchy app. Even worse since the recent upgrade. Messages don’t open, app closes upon opening messages. Also if you start writing a message and you stop for more than 15 seconds you lose the message.

Ads? Seriously!?!?!

My office pays over $500 per month to use your service and now I’m having to look at ads before in can check a message? Completely unacceptable. As soon as our current contract ends we’ll be moving to a new service.

Notification broken

Current version 7/31, has a major problem with notifications. Badges with 1-3 messages when there is no new message. No audio warning for new messages. Reinstalled PerfectServePractitioner , restarted the phone. All other notifications work fine.

Terrible application, poor customer support

Avoid PerfectServePractitioner. Message sending button greys out and unable to send messages. The only solution is to delete and reinstall PerfectServePractitioner . The problem recurring. Online chat bot useless. Called customer support and after 10 min of waiting they just hang up

Volume control problems

There are serious volume control problems with PerfectServePractitioner. If I’m on the phone and receive a message on PerfectServe, the sound is so loud, I go deaf in my right ear for a while and still have sound sensitivity hours later. I’m worried I’m getting real hearing damage because of it. There’s no way to adjust the volume on PerfectServePractitioner . Please fix this.

One of the worst

App doesn’t work well you get a beep but nothing appear on screen you have to find computer to log in to ER browser to see what message you got which is difficult as doctor on call, I tried reaching out no one responded, if I ave chance I won’t use it but my employer bought this crap. I would take it if some one give for free.
.

They should call it IMPERFECT serve

This paging app is garbage. I have to refresh PerfectServePractitioner just to get my messages to pop up after the alarm. Horribly noisy as others said there is no volume control and no way to switch it to just vibrate. PerfectServePractitioner constantly directs nurses to message the on call doctor first during the day first. It’s too difficult to over ride the doctor on call to get to the doctor who’s actually following the patient during the day. If you have a choice avoid this God awful app at all costs!!

Phone calls are the worst.

From delayed messages to warbling tired hold music to having contacts' voices fade or screech or cut out, I thought PerfectServePractitioner was the worst. Then, last night, I got a call from the emergency department. I touched the # to return the call; I have been told I MUST use PerfectServePractitioner , not bypass it by dialing the ED back line. "For my safety." I began my walk across the hospital, horrible warbling hold music playing. I walked into the ED and up to the unattended main desk. As I waited for the clerk to return, the hold music was interrupted by PerfectServePractitioner 's announcement that my call had been completed. "Disconnecting" it said. So yes, it CAN get worse.

Should be removed from App Store

I have been forced to use PerfectServe for more than five years and it remains a completely unreliable, malfunctioning, inconvenient app. Remarkable that for a mission critical application that its interface remains nearly unusable. with so few meaningful updates or functional improvements. 90% of the screen space is a blank void, volume icon is inscrutable in its meaning, no log in event of deletion of message, requirement for refreshing app to receive new alert. Not unusual to fail to receive notifications. Simply the absolute worst. A previous commenter said it best, the only thing worse than being on call is having to do it with Perfect Serve.

Horrifying that lives may depend on this app

I find it baffling how this company took an app that was reliable and fast and turned it into this useless piece of garbage that we are now forced to use. Working in health care, I'm appalled at how often PerfectServePractitioner alerts me that a message has been received but upon opening PerfectServePractitioner the message doesn't even show up until I refresh, refresh, refresh or finally close PerfectServePractitioner and reopen it. The idiots in charge of this company should be fired. The programmers should be fired and PerfectServePractitioner rolled back to the last iteration that actually worked. Sort reviews by date and you'll see what a miserable app this has become. Maybe the company will finally get sued when a patient dies as a result of PerfectServePractitioner not transmitting messages reliably. I've had messages show up 2 days late on occasion.

Unable to change activation volume

Unable to decrease alert/ activation volume with volume button on side of phone during pages. Also Need more long version of the alerts sounds like with Alarm/ Beeps/ pager beeps.

Horrendously slow app wastes HOURS of time daily

I have been using PerfectServePractitioner for 2+ years now and it’s just getting worse and worse. The concept and organization and use is extremely helpful but the glitches and the number of times PerfectServePractitioner freezes daily is absolutely absurd. There are 40+ physicians in my group and we all have the same issue. I’ve complained to tech support several times and the answer is “it’s your connection”. Really? All 40 of us, whether it’s our home super high speed Wi-Fi, our 5G or LTE, or work Wi-Fi, ALLLL have a connection issue? It’s not that app? Really?
I will be having all of our physicians as well as the 100+ at our sister hospitals leave reviews and I assure you, it won’t be pleasant. I’ve already motioned for our hospital system to change to a different company.

Needs Landscape & Split Screen Support

Functional and reliable app. Lack of landscape mode completely invalidates its use on iPad. Please prioritize this functionality. Split screen support would also be a much welcome feature.

Volume is too loud

Please fix the volume settings!! Right now users do not have the ability to control the volume on alerts received. I have to use PerfectServePractitioner to wake up at night to pages (and therefore use one of the long alarms). The noise PerfectServePractitioner makes scares me right out sleep and then I can’t fall back to sleep for hours because I was so startled. Issue would be solved if we were allowed to control volume settings based off our individual needs. This can also be disruptive to patient care throughout the day.

Works great on iPhone/Needs iPad landscape mode support

Please provide iPad landscape support. I use an iPad for workflow and have notifications set to iPad. Unfortunately, PerfectServePractitioner opens in portrait mode only, which is not really usable with an attached keyboard. Would be great to have PerfectServePractitioner support using the full screen in landscape mode, but even a bare minimum adjustment to allow the portrait mode to show up vertically in portrait mode (like an iPhone app on iPad) with half the screen wasted would likely be more usable than forcing portrait mode. Would also be great if split screen mode can be supported. While iPadOS 16’s Stage Manager may help those with M1 iPads and the more recent iPad Pros, an option to allow split screen as an option on all iPads would be more broadly helpful and for me in particular.

I have seen other previous issues improved upon, so I appreciate that, but I think the above change would improve workflow for iPad users.

Secure Clinical Communications Champion

The PerfectServe Mobile application with the 7.0 release provides improved functionality and stability. Keep up the great work improving your application.

Perfect!

We ve been using Perfectserve for more than 10 years one , easy to use , easy to assign , no more confused nurses on who to call , secure messages with other physicians , safety , patients privacy , excellent App and excellent support from the Perfectserve team ( J Taylor).

Much Better

(Update) After no success with the initial launch of PerfectServePractitioner, PerfectServe has now updated many of its users accounts & the results are impressive. From the basic ability to see who is on call to the ability to call patients without giving out my own number makes this a strong reason to use this service for On-Call management. PerfectServe has always been a great service for our office and PerfectServePractitioner (now functioning with the REQUIRED account update) puts the details and function of on-call management in a very convenient and readily accessible location.
