Would be nice if a chart can be viewed in Landscape mode covering longer time frame. Please add a feature where utility consumption can be computed per unit, i.e. Water usage per rental unit. My meter reads in 6 digits! (and still omits 2 zeros) so I have to truncate readings in thousands! Would be nice to have 2 or 3 more digits to the wheel for larger readings!

I record daily and it has helped our family reduce electricity usage by 50%.

I would recommend it to anyone wanting to reduce or track energy costs.

With a few updates to features such as seasonal cost models and maybe wireless data reading?? That would be cool!

MeterReadings is very well organized and allows customization exactly where it is needed. I appreciate the way it captures the time when entering the reading! I wish it would show the average useage per hour alongside the difference between two successive readings. I want to track useage patterns throughout the day (see the effect of turning equipment on/off, what is consumed at night versus a busy period of the day, etc.). Since one knows what is generally running over a period of time, there would be no need for those expensive appliance wattmeters, either.

This is better than a lot of the other apps for energy meter reading. At least you can manually enter the history to give a more accurate view of your usage. I would really like to see someone provide import/export functionality and more graphing capabilities, even a web based support for the service. MeterReadings was actually a 3.5 star but I figured I would go with 4 because it has some potential. More function than form but still a good start. Don't waste your money with the others.

Been using MeterReadings for a while in different homes, am very thankful, it is made to work, and it works great . I also contacted the developer very easy by writing an email, his reply was fast and on the spot.

MeterReadings is a great way to get a handle on your base use, heating vs. cooling, etc. I use this daily and have been able to figure out exactly where and how we are using electricity. We are planning a solar install down the road and these helps us track what is essential vs non to reach the optimum yet minimal kw per day.

I've used MeterReadings close to daily for well over a year now, and it's given me much insight to my elictricity usage. Good app, and it's gotten better with every update. Highly recommended for "logging geeks".

MeterReadings makes it so simple to keep track of energy usage. I also use it to track the miles I drive in my car per day so I can look at how feasible it is to have an electric car. And if I get an electric car, I will see to impact on electricity usage, tracked in MeterReadings as well.

Used MeterReadings for a few years and it just keeps getting better. Would like to see a note field added to record reasons for unusual readings. And perhaps a field to track average temperatures during billing period with graph overlays on usage graph.

I have entered back data from my utility providers to help assist me in saving money. MeterReadings is great for trending data. Be sure to use the website as well for additional info and tips. I use MeterReadings at least weekly and look forward to analyzing end of month data.

This is a great app to track my home utility consumption. I'm coming up on two years of use and it's great to see the relationship between gas and electricity consumption depending on the time of year.

Very easy to use, graphs are great.

Does what it says on the tin with no fuss and syncs perfectly between iPad and iPhone using iCloud or Dropbox.

Love MeterReadings and its flexibility. Using it from several times a day (to isolate particular electric usages) to once a week to get trends, MeterReadings helped me get my lowest electric bill. Without having to install any additional hardware and relying just on my meter (an old analog one at that!), I can get a wealth of information about electrical usage.

I have been using this for just under a year now. This application is very easy to use and flexible. I only track our electricity use. It has helped us be mindful of our consumption; especially during our harsh winter and, presently, unusually warm summer. It is helping save $$$. I use MeterReadings at least 3 or 4 times a week to record all of my reading and I know exactly what to expect on my bills….

I recently switched to a Time Of Use electric rate after I had solar panels installed. The rate is high from 2PM to 7PM and I needed a way to track my usage during those periods. With MeterReadings I was able to add the peak, off-peak, and super off-peak rates and enter the meter readings for each anytime I took a reading. Also does water and gas, and has add-ons for unlimited meters if you manage many properties. Excellent application and very initiative.

I've been using MeterReadings to keep track of my solar electric system. My needs are complicated, since on some days my meter turns backwards and I have a "regular" electric meter and a solar meter. The developer has always responded quickly to my e-mails with requests for improvements or added functionality, by e-mailing me directly and then improving MeterReadings with the next release. He has shown a commitment to producing a quality product.

One point I should make for this review. MeterReadings determines cost by supporting different rates for different levels of cost. I don't use that functionality so I'm not reviewing that aspect of MeterReadings . I just set my cost factor to $1 to read the output as power used.

What a handy little app! With electricity costs soaring (doubling in one month) during the summer months and the expectancy arrival of PG&E's "SmartMeter, I was trying to keep a daily log of kWh usage and project monthly cost using a fairly complicated multiple tier system. After stumbling across this program and trying to program the rate structure, the math from the program and those by handwritten calculations did not align. I sent Graham, the developer, an email explaining the situation and within an hour or so he offered me a response that was, simple, clear, and concise that rectified the problem, kudos! It works great and will definitely save more than the $.99 I paid fit MeterReadings !
Definitely worth the buy!

I purchased MeterReadings to monitor a sub meter on an apartment that feeds off my main house meter. At first I had a bit of difficulty configuring the very complicated electric bill into MeterReadings. I contacted the developer who was very quick to respond. It is clear that he has put a lot of thought into MeterReadings and is going to continue to develop and evolve MeterReadings. It is very difficult to anticipate the needs of every user in every country and to adopt to different currencies and terminology and the complicated rules of different electric companies in different countries, but this developer is certainly doing everything possible to do so.

If you need to monitor your electric meter, this is the only app that really brings it all together to do that. I have looked at every single similar app available in the iTunes store and this is the only one that even comes close to doing what it claims. Highly recommended.

Works as advertised and is kept up-to-date. Would be nice if I could add the random extra fee to the total amount becoming more accurate at tracking actual costs for historical purposes.
