Works just like they say it does

I installed this app today and with a little tweaking have all 8 of my allowed signatures configured and tested. I like the simple process very much. My company's logo uses bold text but the three words are all different colors, so I simply used tags with hex values to define the colors of that text and I was good to go. I decided to also create a signature with a .gif version of my real written signature. I tried using the image field in this app but that didn't work because it always puts the image below any HTML or text. Using the tag allowed me to put my little .gif file on my website and call it from there. It would be better if I could indicate in the HTML where I wanted the embedded image to appear and use the local image, but it works the way it is configured, so I'm OK with that. Might be worth considering for an upgrade one day.

Nice job AL Software. Keep up the good work.

It's now on my front page

Update: Please update your app for iOS4. I now depend on iSignature. It simply doesn't work now. God I'd even pay for an update if developers would just stay on top of their apps and have an update ready for us when iOS updates happen. I'll re-review you app if it's updated soon... Unless I find something else of course.

------------
ISig really gets straight to point and opens super fast. I set the top three lines to my same html work signature so that I can tap the area wildy and quick. I only needed the one signature, but I didn't want it popping up in my gmail emails. ISig asks you to delete the normal iPhone signature. Until apple builds in multipe, html capable signatures, this is the next best thing. Its really pretty quick to click the home button and then iSignature and then your signature: it then imediately takes you to your email and you can type away. Its super simple and for that I'm happy.

Works fine with iOS 4

Perhaps some of the other reviewers missed the notes in the release notes but the 2.1 update works fine for me under iOS 4. As stated in the release notes, recent OS versions prevent the previous reply/forward functionality. As a solution, 2.1 allows the signature contents and image to be copied such that it can be pasted into reply and forward emails. Given the limitations imposed by the OS, this seems like the best solution and a workable one, for me at least. Thank you AL Software for updating this simple and useful app!

Excellent. A must have!

I can't believe anyone gave it a bad review! I first bought Email Signature Pro for 2.99 and though it has neat functionality, it missed the boat. iSignature is cheap and allowed me to create my own HTML signature with pic that looked far superior to that $3 app. Plus, I can use some of the available signature slots as full blown "canned email messages" for emails I write a lot. It's funny, I bet if iSignature had a more attractive user interface it would have perfect ratings... then again, you can't please everyone.

Finally!!!!!

I love iSignature! I have six accounts and had created on large signature for each one and deleted the parts I did not need when sending emails. I saw an announcement on this program and immediately purchased and installed it. Set up has been super easy and using it as well has been outstanding! This should be a standard feature on the iPhone!!! Well worth the money and after using it I would have paid more. it is so simple to use and just works!

Some problems

In my job, I have to have a signature that has sensitive information on it. Consequently, I cannot trust to have use apple mail's signature. For the purpose advertised, it works reasonably well. However, when I first started using it, somehow it changed my email settings from the Exchange Server system I used to retrieve emails from gmail resulting in an inability to send or receive emails. Unfortunately, I was unable to fix this change and had to revert back to the normal way to fetch gmail. Once changed, it worked well.

nice, but a deficiency

The signature does not interface properly with Apple's built in default signature. It appears above the default signature, and in my case looks funny because it repeats parts and takes up extra space. One might suggest deleting the default Apple signature, but this would be a headache - would only be OK for those who ALWAYS want to use this app - a headache since it requires extra steps. I would like to use it just for special circumstances when I really need to have specific info in the signature.

iOS 4 Problems Quickly Resolved

Initial problems with reply/forward workaround under iOS4 have been resolved thanks to exceptionally intelligent support and responsiveness by the developer. Make sure "in-app" is switched OFF and that you tap the desired signature TITLE, not the envelope icon, to copy the signature complete with formatting when replying or forwarding. Not a bad solution at all for now, and far better than the current alternatives including John Hancock and Email Signature Pro.

Picture work around

Couldn't get picture to display inline rather than as an attachment when sending mail from my iPhone 4 to Outlook on my PC. I uploaded the image to a storage site and used the images URL in the signature and that worked fine. I also used HTML to put my content in a formatted table. I believe the issue with picture attachments is Apples, not this app's.

The best alternative until Apple gets it right

This is a great alternative for those of us that AREN'T Steve Jobs. I need multiple sigs for work, personal, civic, church, etc. I strongly suggest users read the FAQ so they know how to reply with the correct signature, etc. It takes a couple of extra steps, but well worth the benefit of not having to type a new signature each time you switch back and forth between work and personal email accounts.

iSignature changes email accounts

I don't mind the hassle of going to the iSig app to select a signature, but it when I add the signature, it changes the sending account. It only happens for one of the accounts, as if all signatures have to be sent from a default account. I have two email accounts, therefore two signatures. With account A, I add signature A and send from A. With account B, I add signature B, and it changes the From: line to account A. Anyone know how to fix this? Until this gets fixed, this is useless to me. The best would be a signature in the account set-up. Thanks!

Looks Good So Far!

Happy to find a Sig app that holds 8 signatures! Nice clean simple but efficient UI, just the way I like it!

Superb

Works beautifully and performs as advertized. Very useful and well-designed. It's easy to avoid mixing the this app with the iPhone default signature --just read the instructions (I mention this because a previous reviewer had a complaint about this non-existent issue). A needed app.

Thank You! 

Works great, exactly what I needed! Within 10 minutes after installing I had signatures set up for work, personal, and side business accounts. No problem with the settings.

Spectacular

Probably my most used app! Love the ability to have different signatures for my different companies. Amazing and very friendly support as well. Thanks!!!
