IOS 14.4 crash!

This cloud storage was included when I purchased IPVanish. After 1 week it would not allow me to access my cloud storage anymore. It says that my account has been disabled when I try to sign in. I sent email to customer support and so far no response. I called and only option is to leave a voicemail. No response. I call sales and they answered right away but would only transfer me to support voicemail. Nice way to treat your customer after the sale.

I got this app free with IPVanishVPN but I could never log in to my account. Three times, I contacted the customer service agents an each time the told me that there is an issue with your account. Today they told me your account is closed. So I sent them a screenshot of my subscription to show them that my account is not closed.
They said they are investigating the issue.
What a joke.

I had used Sugar Sync for a year or so and when the opportunity came about to use IP Vanish along with Sugar Sync for a month for free I went for it. At the end of the month I no longer wanted IP Vanish and canceled the service. However this deleted all 125GB of pictures and videos. 125GB OF PICTURES GONE!!! Absolutely worthless.

SugarSync crashes constantly, you click on one thing to open it and it’ll freeze, sit for a minute and then close. Super annoying and frustrating. Would not recommend

SugarSync often fails to upload photos from cell phones and is terribly inconsistent. This problem costs me hours of wasted time. SugarSync support has never succeeded in solving this problem.

This seems like bad attempt at a cloud server if it can’t with a 100% accuracy save and back up my photos. Seems buggy and so far i am dissatisfied.

I’ve been waiting on a response to an issue with my Sugar Sync for over a week. I’ve had SS for 10 years and it has never been user friendly. I think it will soon be worth the effort to transfer files to a different backup service. It was great 10 years ago when there weren’t many cloud based backup services around but in this day and time I think SS is getting antiquated.

After updating g to iOS15 SugarSync no longer at MP3s. All other files work fine including MP4s. Please update!

The application works exactly as advertised - easy to use, works great. But its strong functionality also raises a security problem.

I have a number of files shared between my desktop and notebook computer, all synced by this app. Since I have added this on my iPhone, they are now ALL visible on my phone. Mostly MSWORD docs.

Its not likely that I will misplace my destkop computer. At least my notebook has a fingerprint reader - and I can encrypt a few really sensitive files.

But its much more likely that someone else gets their hands on my iPhone. The this app app requires your this app login ID, but it doesn't automatically log out. I don't have my iPhone password protected - other than SugarSync there is no reason to. I tried syncing both password protected pdfs and MSWord docs, but the iPhone will not read them.

There is apparently no way to tell this app that only certain files are to show up on the iPhone - everything that you sync between all your other computers (2 in my case) is visible - that's a lot of stuff out in the world.

IF you remember each time you use iPhone sugar sync to log-out, your files seem like they would be protected. But with a little thought this could be redesigned to be much safer. Untill then proceed with real caution.

I give it 4 stars vice 5 because with the large selection of features comes a small learning curve. We have been using this app for a few months. Three different people, 3 desktops, 4 laptops (2 Macs, 2 PCs), 3 iPads, 2 iPhones, and about 7 GB of data. There is a learning curve and I've had to refer to the help a few times, mainly problems sharing folders between different people. I've also performed 2 sync manager resets to cure problems such as files stuck in download and the appearance that it was still syncing when it was really done but the resets worked. Syncing different computers between different people (we're a small business) is more complex than just syncing for yourself but I've finally figured it out and no longer make mistakes that cause me to have go in and fix things. As a side note I downloaded Dropbox and checked it out side by side. What sold us on this app is the ability to sync just about ANY file. With Dropbox it HAS to go into the Dropbox folder. Dropbox offered an option to sync other files but it's one or two menu clicks down and I didn't test it. They are both good at what they do and which one you choose will depend on what you need. this app has way more features but at the same time it makes it slightly more complex and with more features it takes a little more time to get the hang of how to use it to its full potential. If Dropbox offered as much, it too would be more complex.

I have used this app for quite a few years now to keep the files on a laptop synchronized with those on a desktop PC. It has become increasingly reliable over the years, although I sometimes get a little confused when I try to do something different. For example, I wanted to share a file that was too large to send by email, and it wasn’t immediately obvious whether I needed to use the Share function or the Public Links feature. I ended up doing a Google search, which led me to this app information on the difference between these features. It would’ve been nice to simply tap or click on these features in the software to get a pop-up with info about the differences between them.

I've used SugarSync for years now. It works seamlessly backing up specific folders on my computers and syncing files across machines while allowing me to pull anything up remotely on my phone. Backs up phone photos too. Recent intro of 2FA is a key feature. I prefer this platform to any other I've used. Best cloud backup for my needs.

I have been using this app for several months now to keep my work files synchronized on three computers and it works great. I use my laptop during the day when I'm in the field away from my desk and when I get back home all the files I have updated or added are already on my desktop computer and vise versa. No syncing or transferring with pen drives or cables. Of course this is all assuming I have an internet connection wherever I am working. But even if I am not connected, I can still sync once I get home. I just turn on my MacBook and give it a couple of minutes and I'm all synced up.

This web app makes this app even better. Now if I'm out running around without my laptop and I need to send a copy of a file to a client, I just whip out the iPhone, open the this app app and in just a few taps the file is sent.

My only problem so far is that I can't see all of the file names if they are long. I can only see the the first bit unless I tap it to bring up the menu. However, this is not that big of a deal. Overall, I am totally pleased with SugarSync.

For anyone needing online storage and synchronization between multiple computers whether they be Mac or PC, this app is a great service and well worth the low price. Now, this web app makes it an even better value if you have an iPhone.

WOW. This company is trash. Emailed to cancel to be sent a link to chat (that only works on desktop...it’s 2018 you’re not mobile compatible?), to not be able to chat because they can’t figure out how to work with mobile browsers, to have to call on to sit on hold for 20 minutes to speak to an incompetent CSR who tries to say your email doesn’t exist, to be sent yet ANOTHER link to cancel yourself. Disgusting. SugarSync is trash, the service is trash, the creators are trash and they’ll do anything to swindle you out of money. Disgusting.

I cannot think of a product worse than this app whether on iOS, OS X, or Windows. Their updates always wing up with issues, especially on the UI. They are a very costly solution. Subscriptions are a pain, and you have to jump through hoops to prove that you have deleted all occurrences of the software before they will even entertain a refund and generally, they do not refund your money, so you are stuck with them for the length of the subscription.

More than this issue however was the fact that over half of my archive storage was impacted when they allowed viruses ti infect my files. Most of those could never be recovered.

My recommendation, walk away from this app. Use a more reliable system like Dropbox, Apple iCloud, MS One Drive, or Google Drive. I have never had problems with these and have used them for over four years now..

Product works most of the time. The one thing that has soured my tastebuds is the process of canceling a paid subscription. It’s virtually impossible to find where to do it online. Sent an email about canceling and the email I got back went to spam. When I did find it, they just offered a lower price. They didn’t cancel. Finally had to send another email and they sent me a link to where I could do it. No guilt on there end.

Reminds me of the old days when I would call to cancel dail-up internet and they would make you jump through hoops before it would get canceled. Never again.

I had to walk away because long-term bugs and needed features never materialized. However, my primary concern was the appearance of lax security. A general support inquiry I opened was replied to with enough specificity to give the appearance that their staff had unfettered visibility of my directories and files. This may have changed since then but it was alarming enough for me to move files off the service.
At one time (circa 2010 or so) this app had a cutting edge product that worked as marketed. Then they reengineered the sync engine and everything went south from there. Like many I remained longer than I wanted due to the forced renewals and the impression that my “no renew” flag was somehow removed during a GUI redesign.

After putting up with the long download for offline access for audio listening, the player is crap. Get a call and you have to start over. Many other events cause you to have to start over. And their service doesn’t show up as an option in any offline player I’ve found.

this app was a great solution for me, since it allowed me to sync files without moving them into a special folder. I could leave my existing files and folders in place on my PC while at the same time viewing/editing them on other devices. But the service has become steadily less reliable. I would not recommend it to new users.

At wit’s end with trying to keep my desktop computer syncing. I do not have time or inclination to keep reinstalling SS software, and to keep asking for help and waiting for your reply. Seems that EVERY time I try to get a document from my desktop, it hasn’t synced. I have followed your instructions to reset. Several times! Tired of this constant fight and will be moving to Dropbox sometime next month. I’m out.

It used to be great until they broke it in a recent update. App wouldn’t even open after that update. I had to delete SugarSync and reinstall it to fix the problem.

It’s great for being to access files on the move or just away from your desk. I really am a fan of this app’s cloud services. Their apps generally work super smooth.

It's the best cloud service I have found which also serves as my back up in case I lose my hard drive. Had an easy and effective mobile app.
I use dropbox as well but the ability to designate any of my existing folders to sync is irreplaceable.
I've never had a problem with it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have used this app for years, since nearly the beginning. I use it to backup and sync an iPhone, iMac, MacBook Air, and iPad. Works flawlessly. The best feature is that you do not need to move files to any particular folder to sync. You just leave them in place and select! An absolute must have for me.

Anybody who says anything negative about this app is crazy. This product is absolutely flawless. Your files are always available no matter what country or state you are in and no matter what device you are using. The interfaces are fantastic. You just download the application and sign in and that’s it!

this app is a very useful and easy to use app. I have been using SugarSync for several years and it makes my life easier. All documents and photos are automatically loaded from one computer to the other and from my iPhone to computer. When I purchased a new computer it was so easy to download all my files to the new computer from this app.
