App doesn’t work. It says no loans found. Had to download it because all the website says is loans currently serviced. So I can’t pay my house note online or on Carrington . Very frustrating.

DO NOT USE APP FOR PAYMENTS! App gave me an error 3 times when attempting to make a payment. No success, based on the errors, so I scheduled payment through my bank’s bill pay. Lo and behold, I get a deduction in my account from the payment that was never completed in this app’s app, AND they received my bill pay payment. They won’t refund the one from their erroneous app without a statement on bank letterhead showing both payments, yet they tell me I don’t have a payment due until January, which indicates they are in receipt of two payments.

Why can’t you push the update through the old up? This companies management is trash. Had problems through the entire loan process with their loan officers and now this?

I can’t even login before that just starts glitching and freezes. Don’t bother with this people just go through the website. I tried don’t waste your time. The other reviews are DEFINITELY right about this “App”.

It makes me wonder whether Carrington was even tested on modern mobile devices. Hamburger menu, bottom navigation (cut off icons). It’s actually harder to navigate Carrington than to just use the web portal. Not to mention it didn’t even display anything account-specific, only placeholder texts and buttons after I logged in. PDFs for statements you can just forget about. You’d think with the amount of money they’re collecting off interest payments there’d be some investment into more than one software developer shouldering the burden of this entire disaster.

The only reasonable feature in Carrington is login with FaceID, but I just do that with Safari + iCloud Keychains.

I really don’t like it. The old way would allow me to give extra payment on the principal.
Not happy at all. Keep logging in and I can’t make my mortgage payment .

I left a 2 star review earlier because of it not being mobile friendly but now, Carrington shows NOTHING about my loan info. It popped up an error message stating my loan cannot be found.. interesting.

The doesn’t work I’m a new customer and I already have issues with making payments plus some the customer service phone agents were very rude!

I’ve been trying for the last hour to make a payment. The old site won’t let me pay told me to download Carrington and it tells me can’t accept payment then I call to make payment on the phone and it can’t found my account what a joke.

My loan was transferred here from another company and ever since I have had nothing but issues. I was out of state when the change happened which put me a month behind on bills. Carrington doesn’t tell you if there’s a payment processing only if it’s posted which raises the chance of double payment. My payments now jumped up as well and autopay can’t set up on the desktop website. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Logged into the new app and none of my loan information is there, it says I don’t have any loans with them. Well, unfortunately I have had a loan with this app for the last couple of years.
Please fix your app, your old one worked fine. It shouldn’t be a hassle to make a payment.

Very poor UI management, the banners block the log in area.

The new password reset function requires your loan number which most of us can’t access.

This is a huge waste of money on their part - functions worse than the old app and since we can’t log in it’s driving high call rates.

I definitely do not like Carrington is just the worse. Ones it sends you to the new one you have to download it every time. I just don’t like Carrington at all. It does not give you a lot information

I have attempted to use this iOS app daily for a while now and it can NEVER find my loan. That said, I can see my 3-month payment history. I log out and back in with no change. I have to use Firefox browser on my iPhone and go to the full web site to make payments and view escrow balance.

Doesn’t work when you try to make a payment. Instead it says an error occurred try again later. Carrington has been doing this for a few months. Would save you more time to call or use the website.

Like previous reviews, loaded new app, went to make payment and states my information is not available…. Never had problems with old app. Now going to have to go through the hassle of calling and making a payment over phone or mailing in payment. Not very convenient for busy a person with a hectic schedule.

Carrington is horrible. I don’t understand why they made a new app. First off I never chose to be with these guys. However here I am. And now I can’t make payments cause every time I press make payment the last week with Carrington it crashes and logs me out. Also, if you don’t log in on app at least once a day it shows that your account is locked. And you have to wait to log in.

Carrington lets me login but then doesn’t have any of my information in it. It looks like the wireframe of an app rather than an app that’s supposedly complete. You need to fix this yesterday.

Follow-up:
It has my info now, but I can’t find a place to adjust my auto pay. I need that. Tell me where to find it or get it added.

Other mortgage company apps show visualizations of a breakdown of where your dollars have gone YTD and prior year. Add that. They also have the ability to model out scenarios of what a one-time additional principal payment of X amount or recurring additional payment of X amount will do, e.g. reduce interest or number of payments by X amount. I would like that added.

Unbelievable. Terrible communication to changes and now your previous information is not accessible in the new app format. Living on the west coast there is no access to help with customer support in an appropriate time frame within west coast working hours as it is an EST service. Terrible if you use Carrington to pay your mortgage and your mortgage payment is due on a weekend. They won’t be open to help you with access to pay your bills.

You updated Carrington and all the out of date information I removed, was added back to the account. Why can’t you just leave something that works alone. Thank you for updating and blocking me from accessing my account. I’d give the update a 0 if I could.

This new app is abominable!! Every month I have a problem making my payment! I’ve been trying for an hour to no avail. Now it’s telling me to try again later. Insanely frustrating!!!!!!

I never had a problem with the old app. This upgrade I did everything correctly and my loan showed through the website and the new app. Checked my profile, set up my biometrics and EVERYTHING was listed. Went in to pay May’s payment and app stated that it had no loan information! WHAT!!! Went to the website only to see there are technical difficulties. Try using the other options. I do not have time to sit on the phone, I am not paying extra for the other services. When will this problem be fixed and when will it go down again? This needs to be fixed, was this even tested before revoking the other this app app. Do not recommend this upgrade.

It’s a pretty challenging app to use. Everything feels buried, and certain things should be consolidated to reduce the amount of options a person has to dig through. My biggest complaint though is that you cannot see pending payments, which, I mean wow. So I now have to hope to remember to call after a long 3 day (holiday) weekend to see if they can cancel a payment on my behalf because I scheduled two unintentionally and cannot cancel it myself. This is the age of self-service. Carrington needs to get with it.

You can not make a payment on Carrington and you can not update your autopay on Carrington . The information shared is bare bones. My old loan servicer at least had helpful visuals and graphs and “what if” graphics when you upped your principal payment. Never thought I would say that I am sad this app purchased my Mortgage. :(

Hopefully they fix it. They are a huge profitable company and these are features a recent college grad could implement.

Still pretty buggy

Carrington said no loan present when I logged in. I found a try again option and everything populated including my bank info. I hope this helps!

App is nice but seems to have deleted or misplaced my payments options I have from the old app and the website. Have to pay threw my internet browser due to app not having my payments option. Also when I go to add my payments option Carrington is blacked out or doesn’t have text to indicate wether it’s a savings or checking account. But if I go to the website my payment options are still there.

At least Carrington works. I just got transferred from my previous mortgage company and their app didn’t even work. Do wish it would load and reflect what future payments are to show an estimated payoff date. This would be nice for those of us trying to pay our mortgage down a little faster.

Nice redesign, but I find that I need to uninstall/reinstall Carrington after some updates in order for payment to work again.

Carrington is pretty easy to use but beware. New updates always cause my app to completely stop working. I usually just delete Carrington and redownload it, then it works fine.

The new app is much easier to manage our mortgage. We get a nice detail of our loan, view documents related to the mortgage, escrow, etc. Compared to the last app, this one is vastly superior. I’ll admit the bar was low, but it’s nice to not have to visit the mobile site just to get a breakdown of loan. So kudos to the developers. I look forward to how Carrington continues to develop to provide more support to the loanees.

Great app to see what is going on with you acc. without having to talk to a customer service representative. Makes making a payment much easier. The only reason for a 4 star is that they don’t take a Visa or MC. Only an ACH that I terribly don’t like .

Carrington is light years better than the last one!! Thank you for making Carrington!!

I saw the bug was fixed. Any chance of adding mobile pay?(Apple Pay etc)

No one likes change and I was nervous when Carrington was changing but I love the new one. It is easy to use, the details of my loan are clear, and I can make payments quickly and easily.

Carrington is very clear on how to pay your Bill. I appreciate the steps in reference to your balance due, estimate value and escrow. No complaints here!

The easiest way to make the payments by 2-3 clicks in some seconds. Thank you for this opportunity!

I had no problem making my payment via the mibile app. It was quick and easy. I also appreciate the fact that other information pertaining to my account was available and easily accessible.
